Messi's statement regarding this transfer is that he doesn't want to be in the same situation when he was at Barcelona two years ago and now he wants to prioritize himself and his family, therefore he has discouraged his intention to return to Barcelona or even go to the Saudi league.
I believe Messi made a very wise decision his future and career and inuding that of his family. No player has an everlasting affirmity with any club and it was just a contract between Messi and Barcelona.
There's no doubt that Barcelona has done alot for Messi and his family and I'm return Messi has done alot for Barcelona in terms of commitment and hard work. These two parties may never meet again in the football world. I am happy for Messi that he didn't make same mistake that Ronaldo made with Manchester United.
I know you guys are disappointed over his rejection by Barcelona management, Barcelona never wanted him, it was Messi that was pushing the transfer and when it failed. He wants to just leave Erupo for America.
It's obvious Messi can't play outside Barcelona, we all see how he flop in the French league and PSG chased him out.

Ronaldo, never made a mistake for chosen Manchester United over Manchester city. He performed and won games for Manchester United, he fell out with the coach, that was just the problem nothing else.

Lol.  Ronaldo was a bit more of a nuisance during his return to United because the manager had to adjust the squad's formation and strategy around him.  And no matter how hard Solksjaer and Rangnick tried, it was just not working week in, week out.  Something had to go so the managers eventually stopped placing him in the first 11.

Don't get me wrong, I'm a Ronaldo fan too and loved it when he went back to United.  I was hoping City would acquire Messi that summer too.  Would have been the perfect set up for their rivalry.

Yes, no matter how hard Barcelona wants to return Lionel Messi to Camp Nou, if the player doesn't want to return, then that will never happen. He is indeed the best player status Barcelona has ever had and he even became a legend there, but that doesn't mean Barcelona can arrange Messi where he will go. Now that he has decided to go to Miami to continue his football career there, I am not sure whether he will decide to retire there or not.
A player will not think about himself when he decides to join a club, considerations such as family will also affect where he will go.
When hearing of this, you just know he was just following many before his move to the MLS.
Isn't Miami the club that Beckham is the owner so of course they probably made a deal that he couldn't refuse. And I believe it was for only three years. So he will still have some hunger for soccer once his agreement to stay is done.
He could still end up at Barcelona FC but at a managerial capacity and not as a player.
It's still kind of an odd choice. The team is frankly weak even by MLS standards and are currently in last place.
They say there's a big Argentine diaspora in Miami and Messi has a home there. Perhaps he plans in the future to join a share of the club and create his own, it's hard to explain Messi's choice in any other way.

Surely Messi could now play for the sheikhs in Saudi Arabia for 200-300 million a season.

Ironically, it was Messi himself who desired to continue playing for Barcelona. As Messi's manager and father, he placed a higher priority on Messi playing for Barcelona rather than joining a Saudi club. However, the club's regulations and financial conditions were intolerable, making it challenging to reach an agreement between Barcelona and Messi. I believe that fans truly longed for Messi's return to Barcelona, but such a reunion proved exceedingly difficult given the critical financial state of the club.

Now, the legendary player has moved to Inter Miami and seems uninterested in facing Ronaldo in the Arab league, having declined offers from Saudi clubs. Perhaps this decision is the best choice for him as he approaches the twilight of his football career. However, there remains a chance for him to become a staff member at Barcelona should he decide to no longer play as a striker.

He did the right thing not going back to Barcelona, just as you mentioned Ronaldo did the mistake of going back to Manchester United for the love and respect he has for the club but it didn’t end well for him. It will never end well because Messi and Ronaldo are not young anymore and the fans still expect them to play as if they are in their 20s. Ronaldo scored 18 league goals for united and they still think he under performed, he was the team’s highest goal scorer and the third overall league goal scorer and all this was not enough because he didn’t dribble the whole field as he used to. That was unfair to Ronaldo a football legend. I’m happy to see him smile again in Saudi where he is loved an appreciated.

Would have been the same with messi too, i remember a season before messi left Barcelona some fans used to criticize him whenever he looses the ball, people easily forget what you have done for them and criticize you when you are not at your best. He deserves to be happy and respected as a football legend and i believe he would be respected in USA. He made the right choice not going back to Barcelona.

Messi knows how he will end his professional football career. and returning to Barcelona was not the right choice for him. Messi doesn't think about money, but there are rumors that there are problems with people at the club. so he refused to return to Barcelona.
whether this will be a controversy for Barcelona fans or not. but Messi is already a part of Barcelona's football history. however the world recognizes it.
Two years spent outside Camp Nou, things have blown out of proportion in the club, the board has messed with FFP regulations and has been sanctioned, there are too many ugly events circulating round to handle, Leo Messi needs a place where he can be free and do his best for himself, and he will retire from football sooner rather than later. Leo Messi knows what is best for him, and moving to Inter Miami was a solid plan for the Argentine after all, his former club, Barcelona, has critical financial concerns that they were never expecting to solve.

I don’t think there can be a perfect window but I believe there can be a smart window for Arsenal. Edu and Arteta really needs to look  at the options and invest accordingly.

Available targets for cheaper than and work on those.

In my opinion:
Sell:
Xhaka
Partey if good offer comes
Nketiah
Balogun
Holding
Tierney
Tavares if any offer comes
Pepe
Cedric or terminate
Lokonga

- Caicedo.
- Xavi/ Madders (if we can get both) or one of and Gundogan for free.
- A ball player CB to fill the space holding left in squad
- A LB(I don’t have names)
- A striker with Alvarez kind of profile

Some transactions and acquisitions will depend on the outgoings. But they should focus on the important ones first before looking at other positions.

We agree with the list that Arsenal must sell in the transfer window later. but IMO, Partey is still very much needed by the young Gunners squad. At the very least, the Gunners must have mature players, not all young ones. after all, Partey could also be rotated into defender if Arteta wanted to, he has proven that.
As for Xhaka, this season his appearance and contribution have been very instrumental for Arsenal compared to the previous season. Rumors have it that Xhaka will leave for Leverkusen. maybe this is the right choice for him, if in the end Arteta brings in a newcomer, his potential replacement.

Other than that, Gundohan is an ideal choice even though he is already 32 years old. However, he can still be relied on and can even become a role model for the Gunners' young squad. rumor has it, Arsenal have offered a two-year contract and a lucrative proposal. we'll see if he will accept Arsenal's offer, or stay with Manchester City.
Caicedo, most likely he will go to Chelsea. because, Chelsea have also revived their interest in the Brighton midfielder.
Alvarez, I'm not sure about this. after all, the Gunners have G. Jesus and Trossard. even if Arsenal have to bring in a striker, they need a pure striker. at least, there are variants that Arteta can rely on depending on the team's needs when carrying out the match.  even so, whatever it is, I can only hope that Arteta and Edu are not mistaken in bringing in newcomers.

Why did Messi pick Inter Maimi over Barcelona. Why? American clubs is a place where players go to retire to end their career and be either a coach or a football pundit like Thierry Henry. The only player I know who moved there and moved out successfully to the Italian league is Ibrahimovic who just retired from football. America is not suitable for Messi , he is going to fad into oblivion. What more can I say than wish him the best in the future.

whether this will be a controversy for Barcelona fans or not. but Messi is already a part of Barcelona's football history. however the world recognizes it.
Messi made the decision he would play the next season in Inter maimi instead of the Catalan club (Barcelona) because there are several reasons behind Messi's failure to take a U-turn to Barcelona. Messi and his family love to play for Barcelona but due to financial problems of Catalan changed their mind. After several conversations between Messi's father and Barcelona president Johan Laporta at the end of the conversation they decided that the club will sign Messi at this transfer market but that would take time. On the other hand, Messi didn't wait no more for Barcelona. Messi has only remain two spots to choose between them MLS or SPL & Messi has no interest to play in Saudi Arabia he would love to play in their own continent America which has more fame than the Saudi Arabia leagues. So that is the reason why Messi chooses to pick Inter Maimi over Barcelona.

Big money again for a European player.
Well now it looks like the price of 100 million/season is becoming more and more commonplace for the star players who will compete in this middle east league.
Yeah, since PSG was making it first and then some transfers by big clubs were triggering any clubs to put 100 millions as common price for their players. Even small clubs were also trying to do the same thing like the big club as well. The small club will put high price when there was a player being targeted by the big club.
Middle easy clubs were actually offering non sense amounts of contract. It's even bigger compared with the release clause in EU team.
It looks like when there was a condition where a player like Rice was wanted by many clubs and West ham set a pretty crazy price for a Rice, Jude is now bought by Madrid even crazier with 100 + 30 million there. On the other hand, there are also several players who sometimes the initial offer can immediately be more than 60 million, which indeed makes me feel a little big, but this is a rotation where things like that will definitely continue to happen and there could be things far more than this is for the next few seasons.

Last season, in terms of transfers, I was a little surprised by the nominal value of 100 million, which seemed normal because I saw several big clubs in Europe not hesitate to issue and even bid on players at that price, and now the trend from the Middle East has become even crazier because 100 million per season is really - really really crazy.
This is clear that over time it will damage the transfer system algorithm if things like this continue to happen but indeed this is the Middle East where money is easy there. It is not impossible that if conditions like this continue to occur, more players with big names will move there with the strength of the money they have.
So many teams in middle east were putting it as standard to buy the star players from EU. More big players to come very soon but not for messi.

It's all owned by the owner of PSG. I can imagine how rich the PSG owner is.
This season, several players from Europe's major domestic leagues have headed to the Arab League Pro because after seeing the current conditions Kante and Benzema have confirmed they will go to Al Ittihad and now there is news that Wilfried Zaha will go to Al Nassr to be Ronaldo's tandem there.

With money anything can happen because it will be easier to buy players.

The Arab League is building its league to be more famous in Europe and Asia they will continue to look for names that are more popular with fantastic offers no wonder it started with Ronaldo until now Benzema has followed him by being confirmed and now waiting for an agreement between Kante and Messi maybe an opportunity they will get closer to it.

For the Arab League, maybe a transfer of under 100M/season is a small thing because their money power is so big, so you can't deny that later there will be more interest because money isn't football anymore.
Also hearing the news that several big Arab league clubs are owned by a company of the Arab crown prince.
From last season it seems they really want to try to change the algorithm, which from what we know until now, the prestige of the big leagues in Europe, such as the EPL, La Liga, Bundesliga, Ligue 1 and even Serie A, is a league that really deserves to be given high prestige, but not for the Asian region because indeed they are still underestimated and now they want to try to change that.
The arrival of Ronaldo last season made them rise rapidly and now there are names of several other European players like Benzema and several players who have entered this time and of course this will make them even more popular in terms of popularity. It's just that Messi didn't go there after being discussed a lot because if this really works then this will indeed make their prestige increase dramatically again.

It seems like that he was avoiding to face ronaldo. Benzema, Kante, Ronaldo have been going to the SPL. It seems like that messi was trying the different choice. It's a bit surprise for so many people if messi was willing to play in the miami.
I can't even expect it to happen. So many messi fans are feeling disappointed with his decision to go to the miami. To be honest if SPL becomes a better place to retire rather than miami.
I think Messi want to protect his reputation because many people don't like their players join Saudi Arabian teams, they think the players are playing football to make money, nothing more. Messi join Inter Miami and get paid with low amount money, so it will make people think Messi is playing football for dedication.

Messi might want to increase his popularity by moving into the new league where there's no big player on there, since we all know what make Saudi Professional League big because of Ronaldo.
Before Cristiano Ronaldo joined Saudi club we didn't know much about Saudi club but since Cristiano Ronaldo joined Saudi club we started keeping Saudi league news. Similarly, before Lionel Messi joined Inter Miami, we didn't know much about this US club, but since Messi recently confirmed that he will play for the club, from now on, we will probably have enough news about the club and their games. I will see  Whether we call it Saudi League or USA League, the reason players like Messi-Ronaldo are signed is to expose their clubs to world football.

I think Messi is trying to be realistic now and he didn't want to make a blunder that would put him in the same situation a second time. We all know that he left Barcelona because Barcelona's financial situation was in turmoil and Barcelona has no option other than having to sell Messi. So if Messi has worries about returning to Barcelona, I think it is a reasonable thought because even though 2 years have passed, Barcelona still has problems with their finances and Messi knows the problem perfectly.

Messi was already supposed to sign a contract with Inter Miami, but at the last moment, Al-Hilal offered him a contract for 1.5 billion for 3 years, at 500 million a year, I don’t know if he can resist such an offer. Benzema also moved to Al-Ittihad with a payment of 200 million a year until 2026, it seems that money can solve everything. Ronaldo is happy about this fact, he said that now after him and Benzema, many will go to their league, and in a few years it will become top.

No one will suspect this transfer because previously it was reported that the GOAT would return "home" or even go to receive an offer from the Saudi league. However, it has now been confirmed that Leo Messi will go to MLS and join the Inter Miami squad. Until now there is still no clarity regarding the salary per season or the duration of his contract with Inter Miami, but it seems that this will be discussed after there is an update later. But what was a real blow was that Leo Messi failed to return to Barcelona and of course the supporters of the Catalan team were very sad when they heard the news of Leo Messi's transfer to the American soccer team.

Messi's statement regarding this transfer is that he doesn't want to be in the same situation when he was at Barcelona two years ago and now he wants to prioritize himself and his family, therefore he has discouraged his intention to return to Barcelona or even go to the Saudi league.
A 3-year contract in MLS, I think it's quite surprising that Messi finally owns MLS. Indeed, from the start he wanted to return to Barcelona, but he said there were parties who did not expect Messi to return, so the whole process became complicated and unresolved. Especially the financial problems which Messi immediately denied, for him it was not a financial problem but because Barcelona was the house where he grew up. Then his wife wants to live there or the choice of living in America. As for Saudi Arabia, this wasn't an option at all because his wife didn't like living there.

The contract has started, the gossip that has been circulating has been answered and now he is in MLS, his era is over on the European scene and there is nothing left. Ronaldo in AL Nassr, Benzema in Al Hilal, Messi in MLS where Europe will make new history with the seeds of young players.

Barcelona's financial condition does not allow Messi to be sent home. Actually Messi wants to return to Barcelona but on the other hand he doesn't want Barcelona players to lower salaries and sell young players so he chooses not to return to Barcelona. I think this has chosen the right one for Messi, because even if he returns to Barcelona he will not be like before especially with the condition that Barcelona is still in a transition period.

Failure more than five times in a row in the Champions League before moving to Paris proves that Barcelona must have regeneration. Lionel Messi was the good old days for us but Barcelona live for today and tomorrow let talented young players like Gavi and Pedri, Frankie de Jong become the backbone of Barcelona.

Well, he must have picked Inter Miami to move to over Barcelona for a reason. And it's purely his business. Perhaps he did go over there to retire or he may be weary of competitive football which he would surely engage in if he moves over to either Barcelona or Saudi Arabia and he may just want to continue to enjoy playing football without all the craze and completion attached to it and he he feels he can get that at Inter Maimi.

Even if he would obviously get paid much more elsewhere, he decided to go where he truly wants to go. I wish him all the best and even though he may not be in the spotlight like he used to, I doubt he would fade into oblivion.

When it comes to contracts and his standing in clubs, Leo Messi is extremely sensitive. Barcelona have yet to provide a solution to their financial problems, which is the main reason Leo Messi left Camp Nou in the first place. Making a U-turn back to Barcelona in the last few days has a higher probability, but his father, Jorge Messi met with barcà president, Joan Laporta, and the deal collapsed for complicated reasons. I'm guessing Leo Messi doesn't want to be tied down by the club's financial problems, which are forcing players to accept pay cuts; he's worth more than that. For Herons vice city fans, moving to Inter Miami is a dream come true.
Going back to Barcelona is not a solution for Lionel Messi so I would prefer him to go to another team, and he did go to Miami for his new season. Paris Saint Germain no longer provides comfort so he really has to leave. Barcelona still really want him, but it seems that both parties have not found an agreement that benefits both parties.
Messi is aware that he is old and his quality has decreased and he is no longer able to compete with young players even though Barcelona still really want him but I think Messi's decision to join the Miami team was very correct.
many top players who want to end their career in MLS, they play football for the rest of their career while enjoying life in America.
now Miami is sinking to the bottom of the standings and they brought in Lionel Messi in the hope of improving the team's performance, if you look at the competition in MLS I'm sure Lionel Messi can still show good performance with the rest of his quality which is still a little good even though he is old.

There are rumors that Messi will join Al Hilal, but his father wants to delay it for a year so that Messi can play for Barcelona for one more season. Will Messi go straight to Saudi Arabia? Or will he make a stopover in Barcelona first?
Messi tried to tell al hilal's delegation for that decision, but al hilal doesn't agree with it. The delegation from al hilal was telling him back now or never. Al hilal will be only offering very big amounts of contract for him this season. Not for the upcoming season.
He is not going to Al Hilal, he choosing America and Inter Miami, and also not Barcelona. Barca is not a good choice now to play there again. I see a chance in management, but not yet. So David Beckham has the next superstar in this Team. The club been around for 5 years and the chances of winning titles with Messi better now. The Football in Amerika been developing well in the last years, there are now many very good player also in womens football, some of them the best in the world.
