Anyway Barcelona will have to make a list of players that will leave the team and another list with reasonable price for the remaining players. Otherwise the team will continue suffering from money issues.
Their problem is not only the transfer fees, it is their level of weekly or yearly salaries. As a reference point you can take Manchester City as an example and Barcelona in total pays about 20% more per year to their players than Manchester City. But is that justified with performance and titles? I would say it is not justified at all, but they kept signing contracts with players with very high salaries. Since the salaries are so high, how do you convince some of the players to go to another club? That is the next problem because some of them could decide sit out the contracts, get those high salaries and then wait until their contract expires. Barcelona was too aggressive in signing new players with top salaries and now they are bound to these contracts.
