Transfer rumors have come from EPL players. The Manchester United captain Harry Maguire is reportedly set to join Aston Villa in this transfer market. Although it is still unclear, it seems that Aston Villa really wants the services of this 29-year-old player, we know that his declining performance at the Red Devils has made him always on the bench by Erik ten Hag. What do you think, will Harry Maguire stay or move to Aston Villa? Roll Eyes
If it is valid news, Man United players should be very happy.  Grin
Harry Maguire has made so much trouble since he came to Man United, he also rarely played now. So, Man United actually doesn't need Harry Maguire anymore, they have strong Center Backs now (Varane-Martinez). For Harry Maguire, moving to Aston Villa will be good for his career. I am sure he will play regularly there, he won't sit on the bench anymore.

According to Bild, Newcastle are interested in a summer move for Leverkusen winger Moussa Diaby now.

https://www.bild.de/sport/fussball/bayer-leverkusen/bayer-leverkusen-schnellster-liga-spieler-im-glueck-moussa-diaby-ist-wieder-papa-82466310.bild.html

He is naturally a left winger but he has played on the right wing nearly all the time so far in the season. He has had really impressive stats there as well - 16 matches; 8 goals, 3 assists. He is a really skilled youngster (23 years old) and this would be a good move for Newcastle indeed. His contract expires in 2025. After this news Leverkusen might try to extend with him but I don't think Diaby would rush anything for now. I think he would like to listen to a serious offer by Newcastle especially while Newcastle are doing a great work these days.

The last few seasons have not gone well for Maguire at Manchester United and in fact he has received criticism more often than praise so it is better for him to leave especially with Varane and Martinez now his position has been replaced from Manchester United but on the other hand this is also a failure for Manchester United because we know how expensive Maguire was when he was signed before.

Yes, I agree Manchester united team needs a good striker, it must have continuity. Al-Nasr removed Vincent Aboubakar, who was a good striker, from the team because of the foreign quota, this player's name was mentioned with Manchester united, I came across it very often in the news. I think Vincent Aboubakar is a striker with the capacity to score against the Manchester united forward in any circumstance. This transfer will be enough for halftime, I think it can be a good try for half season.

I think Manchester United should find someone who will be good for the team for a longer period of time. And someone who is not going to be a coin toss for Manchester United. They should get someone who will actually be reliable for the team. By bringing a player into the striker position, Manchester United will have to make sure that they are getting what they want from that player. Now, if they bring in someone who is not performing well right now, they cannot complain later, because it was their choice to bring in someone like that, and not someone who is currently in good form.

Manchester united needs a good striker that can Replace Ronaldo. I'm very sure ten Hag is good in bringing players that is full of much quality .if Manchester United decides to sign on Vincent Aboubakar I don't think it will be bad for the club,  Vincent still has some good qualities.

Former Wales, Tottenham and Real Madrid forward Gareth Bale has retired from professional football aged 33.
Bale said: "After careful and thoughtful consideration, I announce my immediate retirement from club and international football.
https://www.cnbc.com/2023/01/09/gareth-bale-former-real-madrid-forward-retires-from-football-aged-33.html
Gareth Bale has announced that he is retiring from football. He is only 33 years old yet. Even if he didn't play in the top leagues, I think he could continue to play football in other leagues. I think everyone agrees with me that he left football a little early. Especially when I look at stars like Ronaldo and İbrahimovic, I definitely think he left football early. His career has seen many ups and downs but he will be remembered for his three goals against Inter in the Champions League while he was playing for Tottenham.

There is no doubt that this is a very sad decision made by Gareth Bale. The player was at the peak of his performance when he was at Real Madrid, but injuries caused him to suffer a lot for a short time. As well as providing assistance to his international career, he has also contributed significantly to Real Madrid's success. The stats that he has in his career will allow you to conclude that he is one of the most decorated players in the history of Real Madrid.

It is rumored that Erik ten Hag wants Wout Weghorst. He didn't have a good season at Burnley. He does not have a successful Premier League adventure. But since Erik Teen Hag made very accurate transfers, it is said that the managers of Manchester United trust him and they can sign the player he wants. I think they will solve the center forward problem with Wout Weghorst. Especially when the game is jammed, he can enter the game later and turn many matches thanks to his dominance in head shots. Erik ten Hag sees and trusts Wout Weghorst as an effective weapon in my opinion.
Erik ten Hag needs an additional striker to replace Cristiano Ronaldo, Weghorst was brought in on loan to navigate the 2022/2023 season. Weghorst was deemed unsuitable for Manchester United because he was unable to compete in Burnley main squad. The club's spending budget is so thin that Ten Hag has to find a solution in attack, Manchester United is in the process of changing ownership of the club which makes Ten Hag movements very limited in choosing the players he wants to bring in.
Previously Ten Hag had said he only wanted to bring good players to Old Trafford to strengthen the Manchester United squad. The agreement that occurred with Burnley for Weghorst transfer was not very effective, Weghorst was not a top player, especially since he would occupy the position left by Ronaldo. I think it will be a frantic transfer for Manchester United after several names failed to land.

The current situation at Ten Hag is that the team needs a lethal striker. As far as I can tell, he is targeting strikers like Joao Felix and Weghorst, who aren't clinical and lethal strikers, who are as far as I am concerned are not capable of providing an adequate service. In the long run, this might prove to be detrimental to them. In my opinion, they should really scout out some good strikers and look into the possibility of signing them.

Harry Maguire is surely not leaving Manchester United in this month. There have been rumours linking him with Aston Villa but the statement from Manchester United side must be enough to end these speculations.

Maguire has been one of the players who are detrimental to the team so far truthfully. His performance in the previous season was horrible. He didn't start very well in this season also. However he was quite impressive in the World Cup. It was like he learned from this mistakes finally and started to be a much better defender. But I still have doubts about his performance in the Premier League. He had better stay as a substitute in league matches especially. These times they are doing well so ten Hag needs to be careful with his player choices.

When the news about Bale's retirement was flying I thought he retired from international football which could be after non excellent world cup outing.
It was when I paid much attention that I understood that he retired in football I total.
I am not pleased with that when player like Iniesta is till playing football.
Bale would have chosen another club to pay for more 3yrs before retirement.

Perhaps he wants to focus on his 2nd priority, "golf". I read somewhere that he wasn't allowed to play golf during World Cup by Wales coach, and he likely couldn't play as much as he wants if he still plays football. As a player who has won some major tournaments, it's not a hard choice I suppose.

It goes without saying that no one will ever forget the legendary goal that he scored against Barcelona during his career. There is no one I am aware of who has such a type of heat map. There was no doubt that he was a legendary player. In my opinion, if he had not been injured, he could have played for a longer period of time.

While he was in his prime, he was one of the most dangerous men his opponents faced. To be honest, it is not very surprising that he has decided to retire from football. As we look back on the last few years, especially in light of what has been happening to him, it is easy to understand why.

I definitely agree regarding his potential and some of his legendary goals not only against Barcelona, but also in the champions league final.

I personally think that Bale flushed his career down the toilet at times. He never thrived for being a popular player at all. He wasn't really a team player off the pitch and he seemed to become more and more ignorant towards anyone and anything. When he was sitting on the bench, sometimes even sleeping with some stuff covering his eyes, I was just shocked how such a great player could be so relaxed when he is not even playing. I guess he made a damn fortune and just took the money and that's it. If he had taken a couple of things more seriously, he would have certainly been a candidate for a world soccer player nomination. Too sad we couldn't see more of his legendary moves after his transfer to Real Madrid. I expected much much more from him.

As for become PSG coach, I haven't read any news that mentioned about Zidane will go to PSG. but I have often read about PSG's interest.  Zidane has been linked with French national team, but there is nothing happens so far. In other news, it's not PSG, but online media writing if  Juventus is the options will choose if he returns to coaching. We'll see, if Zidane become coach of the French national team or Juventus happens, it means media is not bringing up old issues again. Because news about Zidane is interesting to read, so there is a possibility this issue just for traffic reason.  Grin
PSG was option for Zidane before start of this season, but he never takes this spot as we all know he was interested in France national team but now things looking completely different because current France national coach already have 4 years extension, and he also rejected few other offers like the USA and Brazil national team coach so where he wants to go in near future nothing is clear with Juventus is also doing good job under coach Algieri which mean they will be not done any change due to their already issues which are having impact on their future but as we know in soccer anything can happen on any day hopefully Zidane will also have for his future which is going to happen in near future because he deserves some good things as he achieves many big ones in his career for national team and club Real Madrid.

I have read about Bale's interest in golf in more than two blogs and this is also a confirmation of it. I also heard that most times golf used to interfer in his career when he will  chose playing golf over training. I really doubted that report and now you said it again whether as a joke or not, it really shows that Bale has love for golf more than football

Zidane must be waiting for an opportunity at France. He is already not eager to manage a club that easy. But a possible offer by France can change many things for him I assume. Deschamps hasn't been doing a bad work actually. They did a good job in the World Cup but couldn't make double when it comes to the title.

I don't know if Deschamps is thinking of leaving his job in the near future or the board have any plans to sack him. But if one of these happens I'm sure that Zidane would be offered the job.

Jack Butland is a done deal for Manchester United on loan.

Dubravka's loan contract expired on January 1 and left the team. They must have wanted to fill his place with Butland. There have already been rumours like they were going to bring a new goalkeeper to the team. De Gea has also been speculated with leaving the team by the end of his contract in this summer. But it looks like they just want to keep the quality of goalkeepers as high as possible. Butland isn't a bad goalkeeper normally. He hasn't played in any matches this season so far. But hopefully he will stay fit and be ready for duty when the time comes.
Manchester United need a second choice goal keeper. Last month, I heard De Gea was to leave Manchester United at the end of his contract but now I hear he is considering accepting a contract extension to continue at the club, I'm not so sure how much truth there is to this but the signing of Jack Butland after the departure of Dubravka clearly indicates  Jack will be replacing Dubravka as the second Choice goal keeper for Manchester United.

I think right now, Manchester United is making a target to keep de Gea as the main goalkeeper.
And I think they brought in Jack as the second goalkeeper of the team. De Gea is still a good goalkeeper.

I don’t know why a lot of people say that he is not going to be good enough for Manchester United.
In my opinion, he’s actually going to be good if the defense of Manchester United does work.
If that opponent is breaking through the defense, the goalkeeper will have very little chance most of the time.

Wout Weghorst on his way to Manchester United. Still a very striking transfer. A player who only managed to score 2 goals as a striker at Burnley. And who should make it at United? Seems pretty impossible to me. He did well in Turkey, but that is not really an indicator of his level. English competition is a lot higher level. United probably get him to force something in the last 10 minutes of the game. I also still do not understand why Bayern Munich has picked up Daly Blind. Transfer-free, but has been playing with a pacemaker for a few years (or an advanced variant thereof). Not all competitions accept that device.

The more achievements a person has, the more critics / envious people he has. The most recent example is Ronaldo - one of the greatest athletes in history, but if you read sports forums in recent months, you would think that he is the embodiment of evil and in sports "accidentally passed by" and has no achievements. Envious people do not like ambitious people - the previous case is Mourinho, who was not silent for every word against himself, but spoke in response, from which the priests of the haters burned with a bright flame  Grin
Zidane is also a bright personality and he acts according to his desires and not the image or something else - this annoys a lot of people.
Zidane is surely one of the best in his business for the France and Real Madrid as well even he achieves good success in club level for Real Madrid as coach just because of this he was expecting to have something as French national coach but look like things are not going favorable for him, so hopefully he will have better options in near future with something better as he already rejected few offers like PSG coach and USA national team coach which was surely big opportunity for this legendary player, but he has plans which needs more time for having better things for his future.

Zidane is one of the brightest personalities in sporting history, and he has never been involved in any disrespectful act like FFF president doing because he wants some social media attention, which is surely a cheap way for having things like this.

Where will he end? does he want a team or is he ok with being without work?

Wow, I understand refusing PSG (Zidane had reasons to do so), but refusing a Brazilian team that is at the bottom (in terms of results), which means a “rise” is almost guaranteed, is very strange. But in fact, Zidane can afford it - he does not need money or titles, so he can be unemployed for a long time and wait for an option that interests him.
This is becoming more and more interesting now, whether Zidane will just stay in his current condition who doesn't want to train or is he still waiting for the French national team to offer him to train to replace Deschamps is a big question now.
Actually I hope he will restart next season but when some big offers keep him turning down I am a bit pessimistic now.

Hey, I posted about Zidane and Brazil yesterday, thinking about the possibility, but I'm shocked Zidane is not considering Brazil
Now I think it's personal, Zidane doesn't like Brazil and brazilian players (like Neymar for example), and he's waiting some special club or France.
He'l losting a rare chance with Brazil, he can have a team to fight for 2026 World Cup title, with so many options, almost unlimited players to chose  Cheesy

I didn't see anyone posting here about, so, World Champion Di Maria can change his club  Shocked

I don't know if this is real from Internacional (Brazil) or only to bring attention to the club and make fans happy, but there's some talk in brazilian media.

We could say that Weghorst wasn’t Manchester United top priority for the striker role but due the bind the club finds himself in they can’t make any marquee signing for now. Nonetheless I don’t think weghorst is that even if he had a bad outing last season with Burnley I still believe he can turn it around. I watched him play so well for Wolfsburg in the German Bundesliga. I also think he fits in the profile of a center forward Manchester United need. He is tall and very good on the air he can also hold up play for his wingers. Ten Hag will make use of him well just like Sabastian Haller when he joined Ajax after a poor premier league campaign with West Ham
There is no doubt Weghorst was never been in priority list of Manchester United but due to some internal issues now they have done this deal for temporary because suddenly Cristiano Ronaldo leaves and change of ownership is also happening which create problems for the Ten Haq, so now they have settled for this transfer and will do better things after the end of this season.

Now how things works for the Weghorst and Ten Haq for all details we have to wait and watch about this all because mostly feeling he is not good for the Premier League because in his last few attempts he had never been good, but now this all depends on Ten Haq how he use him and have positive results for the short period.

According to a Spanish online news Chelsea had agreed a verbal agreement to sign Joao Felix on loan from Atletico Madrid despite offers from Arsenal and Man Utd, I think Chelsea needed the service of the youngstar at this point in time when majority of their key players are injured, Joao Felix is a very talented player who plays No 10 position very well thus brings more options for Graham Potter side and a good move by the club to build a future formidable team with the present young players in their squad provided that club owner Boehly gives Graham Potter more time to rebuild the club.

Chelsea keeps on buying new players yet nothing show with the good players they currently have in the club. Chelsea still thinks they need players to become better in performance.
Chelsea should also try their best to manage their players very well to realise good results.
