I don't think Zidane is waiting to be manager of France, maybe he is just taking his time before he makes a decision on his next club or country. Didier Deschamps has been doing an excellent job as French manager and there is no reason why France should do away with him, he has taken them to back to back world cup finals, winning one in the process and coming out runner up in the other one, that is an amazing feat, and i expected his contract as manager to be extended, except if he personally didn't want to.
Having said that, there is a Euro tournament coming up next year and it is expected that France are going to be amongst the favorites for it, i'm pretty sure Didier Deschamps is looking forward to it. If actually Zidane is looking for the French job, four years isn't too long to wait, because i am not sure Didier Deschamps would stay longer than 2026, Zidane could even get himself a job with a club side whilst he waits.
Didier Deschamps have confirmed will extended his contract with France National team until FIFA World Cup 2026 and seems not any chance for Zidane become France manager. I don't think with Zidane won't waiting until four years later without active as manager at any club or anh national team.
Usually have positive side when becoming manager on any club when first half seasom begin, but still not close yet with Zidane opportunity becoming club manager at second half, but nowadays not any rumor and official confirmed he will back as new manager at club or national team.
In my opinion France Federation is right to keep Didier Deschamps, he's doing an awesome job with France, first and second place in two consecutive cups is not an easy job.
Also, in 2022 Qatar he got to finals with so many injuries in his team, and almost got the title. The substitutions he made during the World Cup were all effective.
But talking about Zidane, if he open his mind, Brazil is a rare opportunity for him, it looks like CBF is ready to accept the first foreigner coach, but it depends on Zidane.
He would have to move to Brazil and would have the language as a barrier.
But the salary Brazil pays is as good as a European team, and there is no shortage of players. Brazil continues to be the country with the most players in the world, and he can build any team he wants, there are players for any style of game he wants to build.
Another good thing about Zidane, he's already coached Vinicius JR and Militão, both will probably be at 2026 World Cup, and Zidane already knows how to handle with players like Neymar. It's good to point that because Neymar can be a problem to any coach.
In the Brazilian media there has already been speculation about Zidane for a few weeks, but nothing effective so far.
