Ronaldo is a global brand and the world loves him. There is no doubt that he will put his new club to the light and many restrictions shall be over because of Ronaldo's presence.
This is their best opportunity to do it because Ronaldo cannot afford to be playing when he will not be carried by major broadcasters
Ronaldo has become an icon of world football, and of course Saudi Arabian are willing to pay dearly just for a Ronaldo. Currently, Saudi Arabian are one of the richest countries, so with the arrival of Ronaldo, it is hoped that Saudi Arabian will be known by many more people and can make their best contribution in the world of football so that they can participate in world soccer matches against existing big clubs.

Modric is a key player in Real Madrid despite of his age, just like Benzema. Real Madrid rely a lot on them and there isn't until now a player that could fully replace them or play better. I am aware that Real Madrid will start renewing their contracts by 1-2 years each time, just like Ramos but their time doesn't came to an end yet to go to a Saudi club to retire..
Benzema is 35 years old, no player as his successor in Real Madrid. While Modric is 37 years old, he already has some players to be the successor. So, Benzema and Modric have different situations, we can't compare them. Sure, Benzema is likely to stay because Real Madrid still relies so much on him. But Modric can leave because Real Madrid has another player to replace him. Valverde is good enough to replace the role of Modric. However, I am sure Modric only considers leaving after the season is over already.
Modric can continue performing good for another season or maybe two unless he gets a serious injury. His presence in the field is very important and his impact could be seen once he isn't fit or absent. His successors needs more time to improve considerably to fully replace him. I believe it will be a bad decision to let him go while he is still performing good..
I don't think so. How fast his successor will be able to replace him determined by how fast his successor can adapt with the environment of madrid. You can't deny that if he was getting older. Why a big club like real madrid will still use him instead of buying the young player that can also play for long term? I have different opinion if the main reason why madrid was eyeing for jude bellingham was for replacing modric that may go out very soon.
Modric was even older compared with benzema and i have no reason for madrid to not buy bellingham from dortmund. I hope that bellingham will agree to be transferred to the real madrid.

It was a massive crowd turn out for the unveiling of Cristiano Ronaldo, This was a sign and a prove that Cristiano Ronaldo already has alot of influence on and off the pitch, Speaking was the coach of Al Nassr Ruud Garcial who confirm that in previous matches the normally have 3 or 4 journalists around but the massive turn up of journalists today was something beyond his imagination, he joked that wished the journalists continue coming around in the future to cover there matches. Negotiations are on going to see if the matches of this league can be transmitted in other to keep the Ronaldo fans and the rest of the world updated with everything in that league.

Adana Demirspor sent Balotelli to Sion and now they buy another ex superstar striker Hulk. They agreed with him and Atletico Mineiro club, we may hear this deal soon. Although Hulk is 36 years old he's still great at finishing. He scored 29 goals in 46 matches with Atletico Mineiro. I believe he can score a lot of goals in Turkish Super League as well. When Winter transfer season open they will sign the deal.

We don't know until when Ronaldo is playing before his retirement. He is going to be like one of the longest playing footballers together with Ibrahimovic I guess. If he doesn't retire until the age of 40 then maybe we might see him returning to Europe for playing for a short time period. Especially to play in the Champions League, he would be more convinced. But these are all just assumptions of course. For example some people have said that he would join Sporting but it hasn't happened.

By the way I have heard about a statement from Al-Nassr side like they wanted to sign Messi first. But after failing in doing so they went for convincing Ronaldo to sign for themselves. I don't know if this would make Ronaldo angry but I guess he would just focus on his game as of now.

I think Al-Nassr club and Saudi Arabia in the wider picture have other plans related to other domains, for example tourism and investments, they won't depend on oil forever so they try to change the thoughts in western people's minds about the region, already Qatar managed to organise spectacular World Cup and now Saudi attracting attentions by signing Ronaldo. You might be surprised if you heard that they will bring more well-known players and won't stop here, some of the possible names are Modric and Sergio Ramos, even other Saudi clubs plan to do the same.
I think it is not a "big picture" type of thing, this is Ronaldo we are talking about, and if you can afford to get him and if you could just promote him as much as you can to promote your club, even after he retires there will be people who will talk about you as the last club of Ronaldo (probably) and that is a big enough deal.

People assume that there is something bigger going on and something huge will come out because they do not want to accept the fact that Ronaldo is not good enough to play in big leagues and matter anymore, and just dropped to Al-Nassr to play for money, and that is why they are expecting something big come out of this, but won't. Dude is not a Saudi Arabian league player.

This is the strangest contract I have ever seen  Roll Eyes meaning if this season Newcastle ends in top 4 then next season Ronaldo will be loaned to Newcastle?
this is really interesting when Ronaldo still has a chance to play in the Champions League  Smiley and I suspect the partnership between Al Nassr and Newcastle has the potential for good financial returns.

I know, it's strange

This is the original source, it's from Marca, a famous sports journal from Spain: https://www.marca.com/en/football/2023/01/02/63b2df1b22601dd3108b45c7.html

Source, the same: https://www.marca.com/en/football/2023/01/02/63b2df1b22601dd3108b45c7.html

but there's some news saying this is not true:

I have some doubts right now, in a few days we can know what's true

Joining Al-Nassr was not Ronaldo's main goal, but there is one thing that I think makes sense why Ronaldo would accept this offer, not just money, but trophies. If Ronaldo can bring Al-Nassr to win the Asian champions league, then he has 2 prestigious trophies on 2 continents. Currently there are only UCL and ACL which are popular inter-club leagues in one continent, his success in bringing Al-Nassr to the championship will complete a new trophy for him.
It may be like that, but let's see. If they just expect Ronaldo it seems too difficult. But winning two Champions League trophies from those two different continents is a new record. Maybe it could be a reasonable reason. But when he heard the interview he reasoned that he came to Asia with a noble vision. He wants to share the knowledge he got on the Asian continent. But there's a funny clause I read if Newcastle pass the UCL then he should be loaned out there. This is because Newcastle is owned by a Saudi Arabian consortium company

Ronaldo has indicated that his work in Europe was over. So it seems that he himself was no longer open to a transfer to a club in Europe. No idea if it's the truth, but he's going to earn 200 million in 2.5 years at his new club. Not a bad salary. Must be very different from the cultures he was used to in England, Italy and Spain. Many things are forbidden there. But you will also experience empty stands there. He will have to train less hard and try less hard. Could also be that Ronaldo has been met because of the upcoming World Cup in a few years that Saudi Arabia is after.

In the world cup it was obvious again that Luka Modric still belongs to the best midfielders on the planet, even though he is already 37 years old. He is just pure class even though he is pretty old now. He has a great technique and his passes and especially his awareness on the pitch are probably still unmatched. I think though that his age could become a problem soon, because of the position he is playing. Usually central midfielders belong to the players that have to cover the biggest distance during a game and of course this gets harder the older you get. So maybe it would be a good move to only let him play as a 10 in the future. So he could still use all of his great skills, but does not have to run so much anymore.

It seems like Arsenal are getting close to Tielemans signing now. Leicester are already trying to keep the squad as strong as possible and they are about to bring Ounahi to fill Tielemans' place. Tielemans wouldn't like to stay at Leicester considering the situation I assume. Arsenal are fighting for the league title so they wouldn't have difficulties in convincing such players.

Tielemans is still a skilled midfielder and he just needs to play for a team to show his skills easier. Arsenal could be a really good choice for him.

Why is this deal not a domey deal already ? I love the direction Mikel Arteta is currently taking the gunners too, Tielemans Is such a young player ( 25 if not 26 ) has a great understanding of the premier league, imagine pairing him with Thomas Partey and Odegaard in midfied, they're gon be harzdous and disastrous.

I talked about the Morroccan player leaving for Leicester not quite long in another thread, I see him been linked to Barcelona as a fake news, Barcelona may not see a player coming in and going out due to financial problems internally with the club.

There haven’t been much from Arsenal concerning Tielemans. At the moment, they’re focusing on trying to convince Shakhtar Donetsk Chairman to agree to the amount there’re bringing for Murdryk. For now Arsenal remain the strong favourites to get him with Arteta keen to get more attacking options to aid their title push. I have a feeling that Arsenal will not bring in Tielemans this season.

Regarding Mudryk, Arsenal are still in tough negotiations with the management of Shakhtar Donetsk even though Arsenal are currently preparing for their second bid. however, it is rumored that Arteta has a personal agreement with the midfielder. according to reports Sport Arena, Ukrainian media, Mudryk has agreed to offer a five-year contract for himself. but, there is no contract value mentioned in the report. by reaching an agreement with Mudryk, Arsenal can push Donetsk to speed up the finalization of the transfer. if the transfer is completed quickly, Mudryk can immediately perform with Arsenal in his matches.

Speaking of Youri Tielemans, from the start it was rumored that Arsenal were interested in this midfielder. however, the Gunners' hopes of signing him up to now continue to find difficulties to this day. It seems that Arsenal have been rumored to have prepared other alternatives after it was difficult to bring in Tielemans.
There is growing optimism that Arsenal will agree a deal for Mudryk. There’re reports that Arsenal are prepared to pay a fee closer to Shakhtar's £85m valuation. At the moment it seems an agreement hasn't been reached yet but Arsenal are working hard to find a compromise. Honestly Arsenal must do everything in their power to bring the right players to help the team in their title fight. It’s all in their hands now as good players also want to be part of Arteta’s project.

I think Lukas Modric's time at Real Madrid is coming to an end. The veteran midfielder has been the stronghold of Real Madrid's midfield for years, he’s aging now and can no longer continue playing at his peak level. It is also good news that the Club has already put in place suitable and potential replacements for their outgoing midfielders. Jude Bellingham has been identified as a possible replacement for Modric, which I think will be a massive boost to the team if he successfully joins Real Madrid this January.
I don't think his time is up. Modric is one of the best midfielders in the world and one of Madrid's influential player. Age might not be on his side but he still has something to offer. Last season, he played most of their games and during the just concluded world cup, he got a lot of minutes and was vital to their 3rd place finish. I'm very positive that Madrid would renew his contract because he has a lot of experience to pass to the younger players.

Even the blind can see that Cristiano Ronaldo is influential. Right now, Al Nassr Club is the club that receives the most media attention. The local club became well-known within a week thanks to the "Ronaldo effect," and their social media following soared. He is welcomed by the Arabic club.
This is a strategy carried out to bring the world's attention to the Arab League. With Ronaldo's presence in the Saudi Professional League, of course some Ronaldo fans will follow the league's developments. No club has lost after bringing in Ronaldo. Most likely Ronaldo can score more goals in the league, considering the competition in the Arab league is not too tough for him. Unmitigated, Ronaldo was also contracted at a high price at the age of 37 with a value of € 200 million.
That's the fact Al Nassr popularity had increased drastically and now everyone is following Al Nassr because of Cristiano Ronaldo.  This I'd going to a good change and chance for him  and he'll definitely score more goals and make alot of place in Arab world  because of his experience and influence.

There's no way that Modrić will leave Real in the winter window. He'll probably stay in Madrid for the next season as well.

Money there is great - but as long as the players have their places in top European clubs not many are willing to go there only for the money.
Even Ronaldo was reluctant to - even for that crazy 200 mil$ deal.

Modric mostly became starting line up in madrid but what's next about him? he was too old to stay in madrid and madrid itself will not able to use his service anymore due to the his age being very old. that was making madrid has no choice other than sign a new player to replace him. It seems like that jude bellingham being targeted by madrid as future replacement for modric. There are some old players who are still playing for madrid include benzema.
Madrid has no choice other than doing the regeneration for its players as soon as possible. Most of other clubs were also doing the same thing. Modric must out from madrid very soon

Not only Luca Modric who is rumored to be following Cristiano Ronaldo and joining Al Nassr, his former team player while at Real Madrid Sergio Ramos is also reportedly targeted by Al Nassr to be brought in. Since Cristiano Ronaldo officially joined, more and more players are entering old age. Al Nassr's seriousness in bringing in world football stars has not only had a big effect on them, Cristiano Ronaldo has also attracted many eyes to focus on the Arab League.
I think it's a good business strategy. They came not just for Al Nassr but the Arab League. They hope their league gains new traction and that many investors come to invest.  Maybe the profit will be greater than Ronaldo's salary.

Al Nassr's hopes finally came true after so long they signed Cristianno Ronaldo. His conflict with Manchester United became a distinct advantage for the Al Nassr club because the problems he faced at that time made their chances of becoming big and even his dreams come true.

Is this purely the coach's wish? I don't think so. There is a statement that I have heard on social media that in fact the coach wants Messi more than Ronaldo. In fact I see there is a special clause, ronaldo will go to Newcastle if they qualify for the UCL.
Of course this is an advantage for them because even with this, I read some related news about this now even the Arab league can be seen in some broadcasts which never happened before.
I think this is a blessing in itself and it cannot be denied that the Ronaldo effect provides several benefits for most parties involved in this matter, especially in terms of jersey and merchandise sales.
This is clearly not just the coach's wish because if this is purely just the coach's wish then it is impossible for them to continue to push in the midst of their condition which was actually rejected before.

I like that Saudi Arabia are making an effort to open up the country to the world, and football is a good way to do so. People have always viewed Saudi Arabia as a very strict country that will not be enjoyable to visit, they are changing this perspective.

Haha it's crazy, we can see playing UEFA Champions League 2023-24  Cheesy
It is a well negotiated contract with good money, I see that Ronaldo has not abandoned his desire to play in the champions league for money alone. The teams that look most likely to finish in top four are Arsenal, Manchester City, Manchester United and Newcastle, so Ronaldo's hope will still be high, but football and results can change quickly and in three weeks the story can be different.
