It could be said that Goncalo played a great world cup as well but we have seen him play in 5 games, and that is not enough to just buy a player. So far Sofyan Amrabat from Morocco has been playing exceptionally well in the World Cup. Morocco has so far upset Spain and Germany in this world cup and he played a key role in that. If this rumor turns out to be true then i think that FC Chelesa definitely made a great deal here. I watched a few of RB Leizpigs games in the last few years and in most of them Nkunku was the best player on the pitch there. He is incredibly fast has a great technique and he is also pretty effective with his chances. As far as i know one of the former managers of RB Leipzig has also joined FC Chelsea recently. So i can imagine that this also played a role if they have really managed to sign Nkunku already. His market value is at 80M€ so if they have really got him for 60 M€ then this is really a great deal for Chelsea.
Maybe I'm biased towards Ten Hag, but it seems to me that in other clubs such issues are resolved in a less scandalous manner. If a player is recovering from an injury or needs to get back in shape for other reasons, then it happens in a routine manner. In the case of Ten Hag, this looks like a claim against the player and a "punishment" in the form of excommunication from the team. I don't think his style really suits United, maybe at Ajax you can be a "super cool macho coach" among young players, but at United where everyone thinks/is a star it won't do you any good.
I don't think you're biased towards Erik Ten Hag in the slightest way, but as far as that brings the best outta the player and brings positivity off and on the pitch I'm pleased because results is all that matters for Erik Ten Hag now.
