There is no way Ronaldo is playing for Manchester United from now on. As far as I have heard the team wanted him not to come back to the team after the World Cup. They are already trying to find a way to sell him as soon as possible. Ronaldo shares the same feeling as well of course. Apart from rumours, I wonder whether there is really a team interested in signing him in January.
We have mostly mentioned Chelsea and Napoli. Chelsea seem more likely to me as Napoli don't need Ronaldo as they have Osimhen already.
As well as thomas tuchel , graham potter thinks the same way that cristiano ronaldo transfer to chelsea would just make him in difficult to adjust the role , i mean he is the goat but with the current form he has ... it will only help chelsea financially as a brand to get more shirt sales etc.
Other than that , cristiano to chelsea unlikely to happen but cristiano seems really wanted it to make some revenge for manchester united to move to the club rival like chelsea.
I don't understand where chelsea takes these coaches, cristiano ronaldo would be excellent at chelsea, he would adapt very well to chelsea's style (if chelsea still has a style of play, because that way of playing that mourinho implemented is no longer has existed for a long time ), cristiano ronaldo in attack he could score many goals, because chelsea unlike manchester united has a good structure that facilitates attackers to have many opportunities to score goals, they just don't score because they waste it, they fail a lot. but ronaldo is efficient in attack. I keep asking myself if Chelsea's owner will listen to Graham Potter or try to convince him to accept ronaldo or simply accept Graham Potter's decision
I suggest you first watch the full interview. @martyns didn't say he already left Manchester United, but to be honest the probability that he is going to leave is very high I believe
Ten Hag has made the statement that he wont be playing Ronaldo again after his statement on the interview so go figure. There wont be that many games after the World Cup ended so afterward, Ronaldo will most likely leave as he has no reason to stay on bench but the main issue would be to find a club that would want to pay him hefty sum though
There are now reports that Manchester United are prepared to instruct Ronaldo not to return to Carrington after World Cup, this is the plan as things stand. Also the club is confident they have grounds for cancelling Ronaldo’s deal, which has six months left to run, for bringing the club into disrepute. But I think whatever Manchester United decides, is of no consequence to him who has his mind on the World Cup. The moment Ronaldo granted that interview, he already had his mind made up.
ronaldo doesn't even play for manchester united anymore, he only plays when they are europe league games and now with this scandal he won't play for manchester united anymore but that's even good for him to be able to leave the team and get something better, he already wanted to leave from manchester united. but cristiano ronaldo will need to reduce his salary if he wants to go to another team, because many teams will not accept paying him a high salary
