Galatasaray made addition to the striker position. They signed a 1.5-year contract with Bafetimbi Gomis. Gomis will receive 700 thousand Euros for the half season, and 1.3 million Euros for the next season. Even at the age of 37, he was able to sign a very good contract. The last time he played in Arabia, the quality of the league there is very low. That's why it's a question of how he will perform in Turkey. He may help Galatasaray stay in the league, but his chances of playing in European cups are very low.
Gomis, became the Super League top scorer by scoring 29 goals in the 2017/2018 season when he played in Galatasaray. In August 2018, he transferred from Galatasaray to Al-Hilal for 6 million euros. For his age, the contract he signed is enormous. Yet, he is a good and strong player. Very good scorer. And Galatasaray needed that kind of a player. Nevertheless, Saudi Arabia league is a quite low quality league. His future performance can be considered very doubtful.

^  Is Julian Alvarez any good
i watch argentina first div football a lot and he's by far the best talent in the league.
Some people say that Pep enjoys seeing River Plate in his free time bacause of their gamestyle (one-touch fast-paced football on the attack, high pressure, quick recovery of the ball, etc) which promted the City board to bid for Julian. He was linked to Real madrid and barca but the former decided to go after Haaland in the summer while Barca are still facing financial issues... all in all, if everything goes right and Julian lives up to the hype and showcases his full potential, he could be the next Aguero or Higuain in a few years, a world class striker

some of the big signings in Deadline Day so far:

Eriksen to Brentford FC. Link
Kulusevski (Juventus) to Tottenham [on loan]. Link
Rodrigo Bentancur (Juventus) to Tottenham. Link
Dele Alli (Tottenham) to Everton. Link
Bryan Gil (Tottenham) to Villareal [on loan]. Link
Ndombele (Tottenham) to Lyon [on loan]. Link
Weghorst (Wolfsburg) to Burnley FC. Link
Aaron Ramsey (Juventus) to Rangers [on loan]. Link
Zakaria (Borussia Mönchengladbach) to Juventus. Link
Lo Celso (Tottenham) to Villareal. Link

i have a feeling there's gonna be a huge signing tonight. Watch out for Dembele and Chelsea FC 👀

The pressure that Dortmund put on Haaland could have made Haaland stressed and it could have made him want to leave Dortmund. His contract expires in 2024, but currently, Dortmund is pressing Haaland to extend his contract. What Dortmund did was actually a common thing considering that many big teams want to get Haaland, so Dortmund feels the need to get guarantees.

There will always be speculation about Haaland's future because he is a great player and he has yet to give Dortmund an answer. So if he had really moved from Dortmund, I think he would have joined Real Madrid.
I mean, wouldn't you do the same? 2024 is like 2+ years away, which means that he still has a chance to consider and think what he should do. If you ask me, when the 2023-2024 season starts is the time to ask these questions to him. If he is on his last year of contract then he could totally find a better team whenever he wants to, or he could just sign with Dortmund again.

But, when you are doing something so early, that is like you do not trust Haaland to stay and that is a big problem. I personally hope that he leaves, that would be a lot better for all of us as the viewers, it would actually make sense for him to be in a bigger and better team.

Currently, Aubameyang loan deal confirm. He is great talented player but some math he's not play in Arsenal. I thin its a nice deal for Barcelona and Aubameyang. Manchester City have signed alvarez. Alvarez he is most talented young player.Probably Mbappe move to Real Madrid, waiting for official news.He world-class player.

A 45m for player that projected as a reserve .. that is some vip price lol , he should be projected as a key player anytime soon with a lot of players took turns missing due the covid19 , injury , national called up and a tight fixtures.
Not really a bad signing , he's good .. i watched him when porto face chelsea tho.
Liverpool still hunting for the new signing , the rumor has it , i guess they mean it ti catch manchestercity.

He is currently projected like that but is bought for the long term in hope that he can become a regular starter.
Top clubs have top substitute players as well, they need to rotate heavily and a good first 11 is not enough. They need between 15-18 players that compete for positions to be able to challenge for all trophies.

Look at Jota for example - he was brought in as a substitute and has quickly taken Frimino's place. Maybe Diaz will take Mane's soon.
Yupp couldnt agree more with you. But it cost two player with diaz arrival , origi to newcastle and minamino to leeds.
Just a normal day though , as divock origi time in leverpool has to come to an end he is no longer in his prime and minamini himself failed to shine , smaller clubs with bigger chance to play might would help him rise back.

Meanwhile everton did really enjoying on the shop! Lampard , van de beek and delle alli wow! Top signing at very short of time span. What a week for them.

frank lampard and his new club fc everton have agreed to sign Dele Alli from the spurs

It's a nice contract, but can Lampard bring out the best in him? Dele Ali, as we all know him, faded away three seasons ago after Pochetino departed the club; perhaps a change of scenery can help him resurrect his career.
although indeed he has a pretty good vision but indeed his performance can be said to have decreased a lot now especially after Poche left tottenham.
this can actually be a gamble for lampard i think but when delle's performance does not develop i think this will be something bad because until now everton are still very less creative in their midfield

man city has signed top argentine talent Julián Álvarez - he signs a long-term contract until summer 2027

Manchester City have signed Argentine top talent Julián Álvarez. The Premier League club announced the transfer on deadline day and have signed the striker to a contract that will run until the summer of 2027. The national team player, however, will remain on loan at River Plate until the end of the Premier League season. According to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, City will pay €17 million, plus €1.5 million in add-ons.

^  Is Julian Alvarez any good?  I’m not very optimistic about his chances at City after what we saw with Gabriel Jesus going to City straight from Brazil.  I mean there are players who made the transition to big European clubs and they got everything going right off the bat.  Players like Neymar and Ronaldinho...  The thing is they were already very good at South America.  I’m not sure with Alvarez if he’ll click well at City.  But for 18m EUR, I guess it’s worth it for a young prospect at this market.
Manchester City have officially signed Julian Alvarez from River Plate and given the player a long-term contract of up to 5.5 years. The success of Manchester City when orbiting Gabriel Jesus made the management dare to bring in Julian Alvarez from River Plate even though the player still has very little experience with European teams. But there is a possibility that he can follow in the footsteps of Gabriel Jesus' success and become an important player for Manchester City this season, we will see if Julian Alvarez will be included in City's main squad for the rest of the game this season?

Pep never disappoints because he only buys quality or potential talent and develops them into world-class players. He has a keen eye for good players who aren't overhyped and develops them into world-class players. I went to YouTube to see his videos after hearing the news, and I must say, I'm impressed, and €18 million is a steal.

the 18m euros are peanuts for man city if Julián Álvarez doesn't make it there... but i hope very much for the young talented player that he will get enough playing time in the premier league

leeds united is still interested in american midfielder Brenden Aaronson from red-bull salzburg and would like to sign him as soon as possible

Quote
Premier League side Leeds United have made multiple offers to sign Brenden Aaronson. The Athletic first reported on January 18 that Red Bull Salzburg have rejected an €18 million ($20 million) offer for the 21-year-old attacking midfielder. Leeds have since made further offers but Salzburg are uninterested in selling the attacking midfielder and talks have now shifted to a potential summer move per MLSSoccer.com writer Tom Bogert.

Tottenham have reportedly reached an agreement with Everton to sign Delle Alli on a permanent basis. In fact, yesterday Delle Alli was linked with AC Milan and has the potential to go to Serie A. However, at the end of this transfer market, Everton moved faster, while Milan, who had financial problems, would have to accept this conditions, because they failed to bring in this player. and less new players on this transfer market.

Dele Alli to Everton, done deal and here we go! Full agreement reached with Tottenham, permanent move subject to medical in the next few hours. It’s done. 🔵🤝 #EFC

everton really made a move after the arrival of lampard as a coach at goodison park
but with the arrival of delle ali do they no longer want van de beek there because in the last few days i always see rumors about de beek with evertoon.
but indeed ali is also quite good and indeed their shortcomings are still in the midfield so it is very natural that they move quickly for midfield

What do you guys think of Newcastle’s showing at the winter transfer market?  I feel like it’s very underwhelming at best after all the talks that the club has a lot cash from the new owners.  And there were talks of Coutinho and a couple of other big names going to the club.  Lol.  I guess at least the football journos were able to eat well for a month or so.  Cheesy

Anyway Newcastle acquired Bruno Guimaraes from Lyon at 42.1m EUR, Chris Wood from Burnley at 30m EUR, Kieran Trippier from Atletico Madrid at 15m EUR, Matty Longstaff and Jake Turner both for undisclosed amounts.

Anybody here watch Ligue 1?  Trofo, coinlocket$...?  No idea who Guimaraes is.  He any good?

Official: Bright Arrey-Mbi has extended his contract at FC Bayern until 2025 and joined 1. FC Köln on loan until 2023
Hasan Salihamidžić: "Bright Arrey-Mbi is a young player with big potential. We are therefore pleased that we were able to extend his contract until 2025. He should now gain match practice in the Bundesliga with 1. FC Köln and develop to the next level."

We see bigger clubs make this type of move often if they feel the need of giving their players more playtime which they are not going to get in the club. This gives an option for the player to further develop his skills and have more experience which will further make him adjustable for the bigger clubs.

Bright Arrey-Mbi is an interesting 18-year-old player who has really good potential to be a great defender. Maybe in FC köln he will be able to hone his skills and then in the future for Bayern Munich. I also think that Bayern Munich deciding that he cannot be bought is also a good thing.

Real Madrid can definitely offer better conditions than Barcelona as they don't have the financial problems that Barcelona has. Plus, given the current squad and the transfer of Mbappe (which can be said to be 99% complete), Real Madrid will be one of the main contenders for winning the Champions League next season. I don't see any reason why Haaland shouldn't accept Real Madrid's offer (if there is one).
I think for Erling Haaland Real Madrid can be a very good next destination. He will definitely do better with the Real Madrid squad than Barcelona. But Barcelona would also want him in their squad.

I understand what Dortmund is trying to do. They want to make sure that their star player stays in the team for a longer period but that has made Erling Haaland more homesick in my opinion. And him moving to Real Madrid should be the right decision if he does decide to move.

Their conditions are very possible and very good to choose Madrid over Barcelona.
but indeed this will be a boomerang I think for the players who are at madrid because if these two wonderkids really become retainers of madrid next season then there will definitely be something to be discarded and that is a certainty.
Currently, Real Madrid has several strikers and indeed, of the many strikers currently available, only a few of them actually play and become a mainstay line-up. I think the strikers at Madrid have to be prepared for the worst

Barcelona are getting confident that they can agree the Aubameyang loan deal before today's deadline. Some journalists are saying that they cannot register him due to salary cap but they are trying to offload Ousmane Dembele to make room.

PSG played it really well in my opinion. And I think that Barcelona would have opted for or better and younger strikers but considering their economy this will have to do for now. But I do wonder if they can confirm the Emerick Aubameyang deal though.

There are two interesting transfers happened in the last moments of this transfer window. Liverpool have signed Porto left-winger Luis Diaz by paying a €45m transfer fee for him. I don't know if Liverpool really needed this transfer. But maybe they are thinking him as a reserve player for the place of Sadio Mane. I don't think that he can overwhelm Mane and take his place in the starting eleven but we will see. And the other transfer belongs to Barcelona. They have signed Adama Traore from Wolves but this is a loan deal though. Otherwise, it wouldn't be an ideal transfer as he is not a very consistent player.
https://www.transfermarkt.com/done-deal-liverpool-make-diaz-the-second-most-expensive-winter-signing-in-club-history/view/news/399267
https://www.transfermarkt.com/barca-complete-adama-traore-deal-loan-with-option-to-buy-from-wolves/view/news/399225
I think Liverpool needed to sign Luis Diaz to boost their attack at this point in time when EPL title race getting very competitive, though Mane is presently in AFCON and helped Senegal to qualify to the semifinals his absence with Salah made Liverpool attack not been too sharp recall when they play Arsenal first leg Carabao's Cup Liverpool attackers struggled throughout, Moreso they need to close on Man City on the table since the title race is not yet over, Luis Diaz is a very sharp winger thus enabling Liverpool to have options at the wings probably Mane may leave at the end of the season.

I think Liverpool's transfer decision is good and in my opinion, they are thinking long term. I agree that at least for now Luis Diaz seems to be a reserve player for Sadio Mané. Overwhelming Sadio Mané and taking his place just seem to be not realistic.

And Barcelona seems to find players falling on contracts because of their financial situation but I also think that for Adama Traoré, an alone deal is perfect for Barcelona. We also have to wait and see if Barcelona can confirm the Aubameyang deal too.
