So, Barcelona is bringing Adama Traore back?
I feel this is a mistake from Wolves, they should have sold him to Tottenham. The deal with Barcelona is a 6 months loan with an option to buy for 35 mil. euros. Barcelona doesn't really have wide options (Fati is injured, Torres will probably play as a striker, Dembele will be sold/benched) and they will probably return him to Wolves after that 6 months.
This is an emergency deal for them, and Wolves are missing the chance to cash in.
All January transfers are a panic buy, but he has been dreaming of playing in the national team on a regular basis, and with the World Cup approaching, this was the chance he needed. It's easier to make the Spanish national team if you play for Barcelona or Real Madrid, so I understand why he turned down the Tottenham offer when Barca came calling; he's the type of winger they wanted, with his pace and stamina.
Tottenham are seeking to send Tanguy Ndombele and Dele Ali out on loan agreements, so it'll be a wild deadline week. Aston Villa and Newcastle United are already in the mix.
