the relegation-feared club fc burnley is interested in the following players: striker Wout Weghorst is to move from german bundesliga club vfl wolfsburg and croatian Mislav Orsic (dinamo zagreb) to the english club

Quote
Will Wout Weghorst be part of a big-name double transfer for relegation-threatened Burnley? The Premier League bottom team is said to be on the verge of signing Dinamo Zagreb winger Mislav Orsic and has also already made an offer for the Wolfsburg striker, The Athletic reports.

What is Barcelona doing? I mean, first they sign Torres - he can play right wing or upfront. Then they loan Adama - he plays as a right wing which means Torres will mostly play upfront. Now they want Aubameyang - I would like someone from Barcelona to explain to me do they have any kind of idea how they want their team to be shaped up at all?

It is all so random with them. Hey - a player is available. Well, bring him and we'll see what to do then.

It is really unbelievable, they got themselves in this financial mess by doing that but they still haven't learned anything from it.
Next transfer: Morata for 40 million. Can't wait to see it.

Maybe they want to keep options? And maybe thinking of offloading players in next transfer window. They are having troubles in registering players anyway so very likely that lot of players brought in at the time of Koeman will be sold. Even Traore deal is not confirmed, it is a loan deal. It's quite confusing but lot of this will be clear in next window as I feel.

I think the same. Manchester United are aiming to build up a good team and their current lineup is already very decent. Maybe Luis Diaz also would team up with Ronaldo in their attacking line very well and this can help them become more effective in scoring more goals in a game. I think that Manchester United really need an attacker who is good at scoring now. Let's say they couldn't sign Diaz, then they can go for a capable striker. In that case, Ronaldo can play as a winger like in the old times.

Luis Diaz does look good at Porto and maybe he will shine even more if he joins Man United. But I think, what Man United needs more are defensive midfielders and defenders because so far Man United's defense is less solid. Maguire and Lindelof play inconsistent (especially Maguire who often makes blunders) and the Man United midfielders, their contribution was not optimal. After all, in Luis Diaz's position, there are already Jadon Sancho, Elanga, and Rashford.
Why does Manchester United wants to get involve in this deal. They have about 2-3 wingers and they have not been able to bring out the best in them since the begging of this season. They have Marcus Rashford, Mason Greenwood, Juan Mata and Jesse Lingard and they recently brought Jordan Sancho and he has not even create his mark yet. They don't need Luiz Dias. They should reinforce other departments. In fact all this transfer also depend on his ambitions, if he wants trophies and to work with some of the best players and coaches then he should join Liverpool, if he wants to live in England have an easier time pushing for top 6 each season then he'll join Manchester united. Liverpool had intention of signing him first but said they would wait till Summer.

Arsenal have been approached by both Barcelona and Juventus to take on Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang on loan for the rest of the season. As much as Arsenal half the squad has been sold or loaned out, but no players have been brought in. As long as Arsenal is not improving after not letting Auba play and then loaning him to another club, Arteta will surely be sacked sooner or later. I feel Auba deserved better treatment. To get him back to his best, a loan deal will be better. His game is deteriorating daily because he is out of form.

fc liverpool is now also said to be interested in Luis Diaz and even has a good chance of signing this midfielder during this transfer window

According to Sky Sports, the Reds are considering making an offer for Díaz as early as January due to the concrete negotiations between Spurs and Portugal’s league leaders, and The Athletic even goes a step further: according to football journalist David Ornstein, Jürgen Klopp’s team is well on its way to securing Díaz’s services for €60 million plus possible bonus payments. This package could make the winger the third most expensive signing in Liverpool’s history.

It is reported that Arsenal just have submitted bid for New England Revolution goalkeeper Matt Turner about 10 m Euro . It seems like Leno thinking about leaving Arsenal might be true eventually. Either way Leno hasn't been in form for Arsenal and hasn't been in Arteta's first team ever since Ramsdale came in so better to make a move to other team and find some good playing time there.
Matt Turner is a solid keeper, no doubt. Well suited as a backup in the premier league. Solid shot stopper and good ball distribution. It might not be a bad business. But I will call it misplaced priority. What are we doing with a new goal keeper when we have Ramsdale at the form of his life with Leno still on the bench.  Arsenal is the club with the two best keeper in EPL.  How How is the management seeing this. They buy a goalkeeper when they have 2 Good goalkeepers. They need strikers precisely one or two game changers. Arsenal need a striker and a midfielders that will bolster their attack upfront and  I think the goalkeeper is important. What happened to their other Goalkeeper Runar Runarsson, why not bring him in and channel that resources to signing a striker.

I think it's a backup player signing. With Leno not finding enough minutes , it is very likely that he is gonna leave Arsenal and according to last tweet of Romano regarding this Leno will leave in summer. Yes Arsenal do need a striker but I think this is also something which needs to be addressed and they have signed the main goal keeper of USA National team- not bad but it will be interesting to see how much more likely he is to start in games. I gotta feeling that Arteta will only use him in Cup games.

-snip- so far arsenal has released several their players in the January transfer market, but towards the close of this season's transfer market, Arsenal have not brought in a single player to strengthen their squad.
Sadly enough...! Cry Cry

Arsenal are also reportedly likely to release Leno, who is currently the target of Newcastle. However, the good news is Arsenal very close to buy new goalkeeper Matt Turner, who has signed from the MLS club. However, I think Turner will only be a substitute at Arsenal, as Leno positions. If Leno went to Newcastle, maybe he would have had better palying time. Will, see 3 days before transfer market close, something can be happens.
The presence of Aaron Ramsdale at the start of the season made Bernd Leno's position eliminated as Arsenal's first goalkeeper and he spent more time on the bench. Moreover, Aaron Ramsdale's pretty good performance, I think Arsenal will release Bernd Leno to Newcastle United, maybe the price offered by The Magpies is also quite promising for Arsenal considering that almost all Newcastle United transfer players this season have a high enough value.

The French newspaper L’Équipe is reporting that both FC Bayern and Manchester united are interested in signing Marseilles defender Boubacar Kamara in the summer. Kamara's market value is currently about €25m.

Bayern and Manchester United are attentive to Boubacar Kamara's situation in Marseille. Kamara is unlikely to extend his contract, even though the French club has not given up hope yet. A free transfer in the summer is expected [@lequipe]

Source: https://twitter.com/iMiaSanMia/status/1487013676246867972

I am curious to see if Kamara decides to move to the Bundesliga. However, Manchester United will probably entice him with more money, which makes a transfer to FC Bayern rather unlikely. The fact that no transfer fee is due in the summer should also put other clubs on the plan to sign Kamara. Hm, what do you guys think?

Interesting. I think United will be favorites for this striker. Despite the fact that all three clubs are experiencing hard times, United have much more potential and if I were a player, I would choose them. In addition, having time to play with Ronaldo in the same team is a very cool option. Plus, achievements in the EPL are valued more than in La Liga or the Bundesliga.

It seems to me that with age, Ronaldo will rather move not to the position of a winger (speed is critical there), but rather to the position of a playmaker/under the striker. He has a great vision of the field and he can manage the team's game in attack plus in this position he will remain dangerous for the opponent's goalkeeper without spending as much effort as the one who is on the cutting edge.

According to this source, Manchester United are interested in signing Porto's left-winger Luis Diaz. But Atletico Madrid and Dortmund also have got him on their radars. He is having a great season and this is his most productive season so far too. He is playing like a striker now. He has scored 14 goals and made 5 assists in 18 league games and this is very impressive to me. It should be enough for drawing the attention of bigger clubs. I wonder if Porto would be eager to sell him. His current market value seems to be €40m.

Well, if indeed Arsenal are actually considering making this transfer happen, then it can only mean that Leno is actually leaving the team, and to be honest I think it's about time he left, he has completely fallen out of favor of the Arsenal boss, and I don't think there's any way back into the team from here going forward. I like it when players move on when they aren't getting any playing time, the more you sit on the bench, the more you lose form and your value depreciates, if you've fought for your position for a while and the manager still doesn't fancy you, I suggest you move, and I hope Leno does, and gets the playing time he deserves.

Yeah I also like the fact that Arsenal are letting them go either on loan or permanent transfer depending upon whether the team need him in future or not. While on ther hand there are some teams , who just do nothing and let them sit on the bench which also affects players morale. Current reports direct to Leno to Newcastle but well let's see, he could end up anywhere.
Leno must be able to get a lot of playing time to maintain his chances of appearing in the 2022 world cup with the german national team, reportedly several teams are now starting to approach leno and one of them is newcastle who are trying to borrow leno until the end of the season, but it seems like newcastle wants to borrow Leno in January is unlikely to happen, because reportedly Arsenal new goalkeeper, Matt Turner will join Arsenal after the premier League this season ends, so Arsenal will automatically keep Leno as a Ramsdale reserve until the end of the season.

So, Barcelona is bringing Adama Traore back? Grin

I feel this is a mistake from Wolves, they should have sold him to Tottenham. The deal with Barcelona is a 6 months loan with an option to buy for 35 mil. euros. Barcelona doesn't really have wide options (Fati is injured, Torres will probably play as a striker, Dembele will be sold/benched) and they will probably return him to Wolves after that 6 months.

This is an emergency deal for them, and Wolves are missing the chance to cash in.
All January transfers are a panic buy, but he has been dreaming of playing in the national team on a regular basis, and with the World Cup approaching, this was the chance he needed. It's easier to make the Spanish national team if you play for Barcelona or Real Madrid, so I understand why he turned down the Tottenham offer when Barca came calling; he's the type of winger they wanted, with his pace and stamina.

Tottenham are seeking to send Tanguy Ndombele and Dele Ali out on loan agreements, so it'll be a wild deadline week. Aston Villa and Newcastle United are already in the mix.

If this deal went successfully Barcelona will really be happy and will meet their target and they will probably regain their form and they may probably become very competitive and they can make top four this season, because, Adama Traore is very strong and promising player that have the ability to deliver and attack from the wing, I think if Barcelona were able to make the deal successful there will be some smile in Barca fans face.

Maybe the best thing will be to keep Haaland and bring in some more new and good players in the team to make the team really strong. And if they want to compete with Bayern Munich they need to do that.

If it were up to Dortmund, they would probably want to keep Haaland for his entire career. But if Haaland wants to leave, Dortmund will have to sell him. A player who wants to leave will then perform less and then the club will think twice about whether they would rather take a transfer fee of at least 70 million and use it to buy new hungry players or whether they take the risk of keeping him against his will and he then performs poorly. In the worst case, he would then also be free of charge. Dortmund has already had bad experiences with such players, for example with Osuame Dembele.

If a player wants to be transferred, you cannot keep that player in the team by force.  It goes for free when the contract expires anyway.  If the player wants to go, you have to think about how you will get the maximum efficiency from him.  If you are managing a team, it is very important that there is no unrest in the team.  If you forcibly keep a player from your team who wants to leave, the unrest begins.
