Another rumour about Newcastle's targets: They are planning to sign Atletico Madrid right-back Kieran Trippier in January. Trippier still has a contract which is going to expire in 2023 with Atletico Madrid. And he plays for Atletico Madrid regularly. He got an injury not long time ago but he is well now seemingly. And I believe that he is one of the decent backs. It would be a nice transfer for Newcastle.

Interesting turn of events in the transfer poker for Erling Haaland: FC Bayern now seems to be preparing an offer for Haaland behind the scenes. At least that is what the German newspaper Bild reports.

Behind the scenes, Bayern are currently preparing a move for Erling Haaland. The topic has been discussed for a long time within the board. The Norwegian striker is Bayern's number one choice to replace Robert Lewandowski, should the latter leave in the summer [@BILD @SPORTBILD]

Source: https://twitter.com/iMiaSanMia/status/1471229855241023490

However, the gigantic transfer sum, estimated at €300 million for a multi-year contract, remains problematic.

The main problem is the gigantic financial package. With a release clause of €75m plus wages and agents fees/commissions, the overall package amounts to around €300m, not easy to afford [@BILD @SPORTBILD]

I'll be honest: I still can't imagine Haaland moving to FC Bayern. Since FC Bayern has arguably the best striker in the world at the moment in Robert Lewandowski, I think the club's priority is clearly to extend Lewandowski's contract. That would also be exactly what the chairman of the board, Oliver Kahn, has already announced. What do you guys think?

As far as I know, Bayern Munich already stated that they were not going to go after the Erling Haaland transfer as they are more than happy about Lewandowski's current performance. Therefore, I think that this news could be just no more than rumours. Otherwise, I really don't understand what they are up to. Maybe they made a statement like that on purpose to finish the deal behind closed doors.

@bullrun2020bro I believe Bayern want to cause chaos in Dortmund camp by spreading these rumours, because there’s no way Bayern have this kind of money to pay for Halland. Lastly it’s being reported that only Manchester United have so far registered any real interest in Halland, and we all know they have the money for this kind of deal.

But reportedly now lewandowski has stated that he will look for new adventures at other clubs and he continues to be linked with manchester city and also real madrid, besides that bayern münchen have also confirmed the price of lewandowski if a club wants to buy him for 100 million euros, i think haalaand will Be a good alternative for Bayern Munich if indeed Lewandowski moves to another club later, besides that Dortmund, which has often sold star players, will certainly not hesitate to release Haaland if a big-money offer comes to them.

as far as I understood, the problem with the next Haaland transfer is on outrageously high commission of his (Raiola) agent. I read somewhere that is around 50mil euro, it is unlikely that Bayern will agree to such a thing. also with his high salary violate their philosophy of not overpaying players.
Bayern lost a moment to buy them cheap before Dortmund, now is too late for that deal.
PSG, Real, Man. United and Man. City are its possible destinations.

Well - it is clear that Lewandovski is currently among the best players in the world. He's a proven world-class player that fits perfectly in this Bayern team and that team is set up in a way in which him and Haaland cannot play together at the same time.

However - buying Haaland now means buying a star player that has the potential to be world class for the next 10 years or so. A smart move would be looking at this from a long-term perspective - and Bayern will be doing that if they have any chance of getting Haaland.

Financially though - I don't think they will be able to match the PL clubs.

According to reports,Arteta is optimistic he can lure Raheem Sterling to the club, especially if they are in a position to go to champions league next season.
Arsenal have been keeping eyes on Sterling for sometimes now,and are weighing up a bid to sign the English player from Mancity to booster their attack.Aubameyang is eying a move to Barcelona and Lacazette in the final stage of his contract,so getting Sterling will really be a bargain buy in the January transfer window.
Sterling is suitable with Arteta formation, he can fill up on right-winger or attacker position where that position really needed for Arsenal. They have good on the left that fille up by young potential player Smith Rowe. for sure Arsenal will stand in the Champion League zone when having that deal but after The city had a deal with Dusan.

From observation, you are supposed know that Arsenal are recruiting more of a young players now than the overage players who will demand high wage. Raheem Sterling currently earns around £300,000 in Man city. Arsenal will not want to venture into that kind of deal. Aubameyang is currently making them sweat and you want to bring in Raheem. Arsenal will only bring in younger players, because I think that is the new plan, from the few transfer they have done, from Aaron Ramsdale, Benjamin White, Magalhaes Gabriel, Takehiro Tomiyasu, Nuno Tavares, Sambi Lonkonga and Martin Odegaard. You will understand that they want to build a bond, a team starting with these young lads. So Sterling can not come in with that high wage, it will look like Arsenal did not learn from Mesut Ozil's situation.

If Haaland wants to go to Spain, there are two clubs he will go to: Real Madrid or Barcelona.  If Barcelona can manage the financial resources properly, Haaland can win with its prestige.  Of course, there are many clubs to compete in.  There are many teams in England, Spain and other leagues that want Haaland to join their team.

Forget seeing Haaland at Barcelona.
He has already said that he wants to play in the next Champions League, so he will only close with Barcelona if the club manages to qualify for it in 2022/23, and at that moment that seems to be a very distant goal for Barcelona.
That's just the first requirement, then there's the trade agreement, which is another problem for Barcelona.

Barcelona's only advantage over Real is the absence of Benzema, Mbappe and Vinicius there - if Haaland moves to Barcelona, he will be the top-1 attacker there with minimal competition. But this is a rather risky option, because without other acquisitions Barcelona will not be able to return to its previous level and obviously Haaland leaves Borussia not with goal to get into Spanish Borussia  Grin
Oh yes, the current Barcelona is not the best option and what is most important in this case is not the most profitable option for a player like Haaland. When I constantly read information that Barcelona wants to sign a player, but at the same time wants to ask him to reduce wages, then information about Barcelona's interest in Haaland is perceived with great bewilderment. Reading the previous statements of Mino Raiola, it is hard to believe that Barcelona will be able to simultaneously satisfy the financial appetites of Borussia Dortmund, the player himself and his agent. Therefore, all this looks like just an attempt on the part of the Barcelona management to remind once again about themselves and show their importance. They say we are still a super club and therefore we can participate in such high-profile transfers.

Fabrizio wrote this as well in his twitter account but seriously though, Barcelona is in no position to sign Haaland. He is probably one of the best striker right now and there is no way that he would want to go to Barcelona. Some top clubs including Manchester City are aiming for his signature so he will has better future if he sign with another club

Perhaps the situation of world football escapes you.
Without the super league, the best players are destined either to go to PSG or to go to England.

All the other teams in the world that are not British or from Paris have no economic power to buy this type of player.

Italy, Spain, France, and Germany are excluded from his next destination.

After the injury of Fernando Muslera, Galatasaray began to look for a goalkeeper.  Galatasaray, who came out of the group as the leader in the UEFA European league, wants to make a good transfer to the goalkeeper position.  Galatasaray management, which is thought to be meeting for Göztepe's goalkeeper İrfan, will have found a very good alternative to Muslera, who is 35 years old, if they transfer İrfan.
Considering the past and how much Muslera has provided for galatasaray, I am pretty sure that no matter who they get, it will not be enough for them. They are already not doing that well in the league and just one goalkeeper change, even if they somehow magically find a better one, will not suddenly make them a much better team.

The only reason they need a great one to replace Muslera at this point is the fact that they are at Europa next stage and they will face very difficult matchups, if they pay a lot and get a great one and eliminated in the first matchup then it would be for nothing, if they go ahead a little then it will pay for itself so there is a big question mark. Getting Irfan is certainly a temporary solution and will not be helpful for them at all. They didn't consider GK change at all since they had Muslera so far but he is obviously getting older, they need to considering getting another goalkeeper like that.

Haaland to Barcelona, is that possible you think?

Laporta is rumored to have met with super agent Mino Raiola to discuss Haaland's situation, but what is clear is that this is still only a rumor from transfer news. As a fan of course it would be very nice if Barcelona could buy Haaland in this transfer window, but I'm not really sure how Barcelona will do it when the financial condition are not very supportive of this big plan.

Haaland as well as Messi in Barcelona might be able to make it to the top but it is not happening for sure. Anyway Barcelona is currently 8th though, why would Haaland even want to sign with a club that probably have no spot in CL next season

I will quote a recently written post ... since in a couple of days nothing has changed at all, and even more so there is no point in talking about Haaland's transfer, since such a probability tends to zero. Mark my words, - while Lewandowski plays in Bavaria, Haaland will continue to play in Borussia, (and if Barca really suddenly had free money, then they would be more interested in Pogba to help Memphis Depay)Wink

Let's be realistic ... as far as I understand, Xavi had only 10 million at his disposal for the winter transfer window, so Barca cannot afford such transfers.

By and large, I doubt that it is advisable for Barca to spend money now, given that at the end of the 16th round they have only 6 won matches, I think Barça will be in the top 4 but the gap between first and fourth place will be enormous. Xavi also shouldn't worry about his seat, as it is not his fault that Barca dropped out of the Champions League ... and even though I am not a fan of the Catalans, I still really hope that after the summer transfers, Xavi will reveal his potential as trainer.

Smart is not enough, there must be skills

Real Madrid, Bayern Munich, Manchester City and Barcelona have so far been linked with Haaland. I wouldn't expect too much about his chance of going to Barcelona because of his poor financial condition, and Madrid are more likely to get the striker's signature. But I would be happy if Barcelona could bring him to the Camp Nou mid-season.
There are still rumors about a meeting between Mino Raiola and Laporta and some say they are also discussing other transfers, not just Haaland, maybe if you don't get Haaland, Barcelona can still bring in other players.
Of course with this rumor we are looking at it from a financial point of view at the moment considering that many say Barcelona is in a financial crisis, but Laporta has planned this and wants to bring in the star player Haaland so anything can happen as long as Barcelona can convince him.
