PSG and Real Madrid want him, that's not surprising. Every team want a player like Kante. I don't know why Chelsea would let him go, there must be big offer with at least three digits. Otherwise I don't think that's possible.
If Kante wants to go though, that's another story. They may sell him if he doesn't want to extend his contract. This news look like a manager move to get him a better contract until Summer transfer window.

I did manual search for this rumor, there are some sports news (mostly non popular sports news) that talks about this rumor. Maybe because the contract of Kante is going to end next year so Chelsea do not want to let him go for free. In my opinion, Chelsea should extend his contract for 2-3 more years as he is not that old and he is still playing well for Chelsea.

I don't believe Chelsea will let go one of their most dependable and formidable midfielder in person of Kante who had been very influencial with a high work rate I also read the rumoured report of his transfer at the end of this season to prevent his movement on free transfer come 2023, the best bet is for Chelsea to extend his contract beyond 2023 if they really want to defend their UCL this season, of course his contract issue is not settled once and for all he might mar his performances for the club, this is one of the link for his purported rumour transfer.

Kante's Chelsea contract is actually dated until June 2023 according to Transfermarkt. So they can't lose him for free at the end of this season and there is still some time to extend it. Kante is an excellent defensive midfielder willing to do the hard and nasty work. A serious club shouldn't get rid of players like that. Although he is already 30, he can still perform on the highest level for a few more years.

It is true that Barcelona is not performing well at the moment, but i also think that this was to be expected after they had to sell messi because they are over 1B $ in debt, which is a huge number. I don't follow the La Liga that closely but i saw the match of Barcelona vs FC Bayern in the champions league and there it was obvious that this is not the Barcelona that i was a few years ago. Yes they still have a few great players with potential like Busquets, De Jong, Dembele and coutinho but the overall squad is just not strong enough. In the game against Bayer they substituted in a 17 and a 18 year old if i remember correctly. So i don't think a new coach will change that much.

If that's the case then it would be a good deal. But still there would be question hanging over if De ligt will be able to fit the role perfectly like Rudiger did. Right now Rudiger is very solid and personally I don't think Chelsea should sell him and should put on "not for sale" for anyone approaching the club for the player.

Honestly I have doubt over De ligt. Yeah he is a good and potential but the price would be high and there would be always doubt over if he would be able to perform.

There always a doubt when you make a huge transfer... as that high price become a responsibility for a player to perform 200 percent and prove everyone that he deserved that high price. a lot of them failed to deliver that expectation and that is just normal fo anyone to feel in doubt.

i just think its gonna be perfect scenario and really good investment. in the end investment doest always work though.

There is no way in hell that these rumors would be circulating now when Kante is one of the best players in Chelsea and is one of the players that is key to Chelsea's success. He has a couple of years remaining on his contract and no one would be able to afford him and I do not see why they would sell a player that is one of their most important players. This was proven the other day when Chelsea were struggling against Arsenal and they bring Kante on and he changes the game and they instantly score 2 goals. I think the rumors that you heard are probably from clickbait tabloids which are trying to generate clicks and are faking rumors to do that.
