Chelsea disrespected him by offering a very short contract extension. I understand why he rejected it. It was to to get a long contract extension from the club. This is the reason why Gallagher was always rejecting the new contract from Chelsea.

Those who don't know the details would blame Gallagher. They would blame his decision not to accept a new contract from Chelsea.

I'd like to see him come and join in the ATM as a new player instead of staying on Chelsea.

Finally, Gallagher's flight to Spain is to discuss ATM's offer.

I hope he will be lucky enough.

Offering a 24-year-old England midfielder a two-year with a potential one-year extension is not right. He should have been given a long-term contract like other players. The bottom line is that Chelsea Enzo Maresca feels that Conor Gallagher will not be compatible with his style of play. If was needed, the coach would have encouraged the club management to increase his contract. After he rejected the contract, Chelsea doesn't want a repeat of Antonio Rudiger and Andreas Christensen's incident where they left the club as free agents.

Diego Simeone is well known for taking every available opportunity to buy cheap players. £34m for Conor is cheap and he could improve to become more expensive in the future. Chelsea are now seeking means to get a replacement for the English midfielder. I read that the Blues are targeting to sign the £35m worth of Samu Omorodion. Conor will be pleased that he got this contract; at least he will play in the UCL.

Is this true? for me this is quite surprising because West Ham has spent so much money to shop for players whose numbers are not small and added with bringing in Niclas Füllkrug they will try to cook starting next season. I also had time to think whether the profit from selling Declan Rice to Arsenal last season has not been used at all so they are very eager to add depth to their squad next season.

I think this is an opportunity for West Ham to prove themselves again after two seasons ago they had surprised various parties under David Moyes but unfortunately it could not last last season. Now Niclas Füllkrug will be a goal-producing machine and I am still curious why Dortmund let him go so easily, even though when defending Germany in the Euro he performed very well and I think again maybe this is Dortmund's habit that we have known for a long time. Smiley
Sure, it is true. Why you are so surprising?  Cheesy
I don't think West Ham spent too much money, they spent reasonable amount of money. So far, West Ham signed successfully 5 players and they most expensive player is Max Kilman, they pay €47.50m. 1 player is signed for free, Wes Foderingham. Meanwhile for Niclas Füllkrug, West Ham pay around 25-27 million Euros, I don't get clear information about the transfer fees of him. What I know, WestHam wants to sign him 25 million Euros but Dortmund wants 30 million Euros. Well, it seems they get a deal at 27 million Euros.

Anyway, Niclas Füllkrug is a good striker but I don't know if he will adapt quickly to play in EPL. Although Niclas Füllkrug played very well in Bundesliga, there is no guarantee that he will play in the same level with West Ham. Moreover, Niclas Füllkrug will play in a new league that has a very different nature. I just hope Niclas Füllkrug can get good support from West Ham players, so he can be easier to play at his best level in EPL.

I can understand if Dortmund sell him easily to West Ham because West Ham made an interesting offer. Füllkrug is 31 years old and Dortmund spent money for him 17 million Euros only in 2023 (Dortmund signed him from Werder Bremen). Now, West Ham wants to pay 27 million Euros, Dortmund gets good profits if they sell Füllkrug. Moreover, Dortmund already sign Serhou Guirassy, they don't need Füllkrug anymore.

Atleti learned a lot from last season. They became lazy. They were happy with being average. Those times are over now. This move by Sørloth makes a point. The other teams in La Liga should know that Atleti is back and ready to win the title

I don't believe they were happy being average, they just had a bad season, every team has those once in a while. One of the reasons that made them have a bad season was because of La Liga restrictions. They didn't have enough money to sign the players they wanted, but I think they have done something about that this season and they don't want to joke with their attack.
Their first choice was Dovbyk, but that deal failed so they got Sorloth which is a very incredible signing.
There are reports that Atletico are close to agreeing a deal for Julian Alvarez. I doubt those rumours because Manchester City placed a very big price stage on Alverez. Except Manchester City reduced their asking price, I don't think Atletico can pay 90 million for Alverez. Getting Alvarez will boost their TTck even further. Having two lethal players up front and Griezmann behind them would be a very good team to watch.

The situation experienced by Julian Alvarez at Manchester City means that he must be able to improve his quality, he must be more patient with the current situation because it is not easy to compete at a big club like Manchester City. He may be spending more time on the bench now, but he must impress the coach with his performances whenever he gets a chance to become Guardiola's first-choice player. To become a regular player at Manchester City is not easy, but that doesn't mean there is no chance at all, he must be able to compete with Haaland to prove to Guardiola that he deserves a place in the main squad.
The competition for a starting spot at Manchester City is tough, especially as Julian Alvarez has to compete with Erling Haaland who has been in great form. Both players are still young, so they have to show that they deserve to be in the first team. Indeed, players have to give their best when they are given the opportunity to play, as much as possible they have to make the coach believe in them more. Julian Alvarez's contract with Manchester City will end in 2028, that's a very long time. I think he should be braver to leave Manchester City and find a team that can make him play regularly, because it's a shame when he only spends a lot of time on the bench. He has to gain experience to make him even better. Atletico Madrid is a team that is interested in him, but it seems that it will be hampered because Manchester City has set a high price, so this is a difficult situation for Julian Alvarez.
Julian Alvarez has a current dilemma in the Manchester City squad, even though he was able to perform quite well when he played and was also able to help Argentina win the Copa America, but up to now he has not been guaranteed a one place in Manchester City main squad next season, Julian Alvarez has been always being a backup for Haaland and he should start rethinking his future to finish his contract with Manchester City, he has a contract until 2028 and that means he must continue to be ready to be a reserve player for another 4 years if Haaland is not injured or absent from Manchester City main squad, when today he is at the peak of his career at a very young age so without getting enough time to play, of course it will gradually make his career fade in the future, I think currently the only way for alvarez is to leave for another team that can guarantee him playing in the main squad later, currently the competition for the main place in Manchester City will be very difficult when he has to compete with Haalaand who is on fire and it would be better if he thought about and accepted the offers coming from several other clubs at summer.
Julian Alvarez probably will be stayed in Manchester City but with the condition only if Guardiola can guarantee one place at Manchester City starting lineup but seems this is a bit impossible because just like we know Manchester City has Haaland and in the term of scores goals obviously Haaland is much better than him so if Julian Alvarez asking regular place on Manchester City forward lines i think Guardiola cannot give that to him because Guardiola more likely to choose Haaland than him

This situation also makes Julian Alvarez has been worrying about his future in Manchester City because he feel during last season he performing well and deserved to playing regularly but i have to says as long as Haaland still in this team then his status is only as substutition player so that's why Julian Alvarez have realize this situation and thinking moved to other teams who can give him more minutes to play

Manchester City reported is allowed him to find new club but the most problem is Julian Alvarez price tag is too expensive approximately 100 million and reported now Chelsea, Arsenal and Atletico Madrid are still compete to gets his signature even Atletico Madrid has officially bid for Julian Alvarez with some money plus Joao Felix but Manchester City hasn't give their statement whether they will accept this offer or not

I mean if Chelsea didn't treated Gallagher like he is not wanted and he is just a second level player who needs to be replaced, then maybe he would have extended his contract. But he knew from the get go that he wasn't considered good enough for his position, and he was considered as "need to get someone better than him" type of player, so that is why we are seeing the current situation, nothing will change.

We are going to end up with whatever we can end up with, and that's going to be a very tough situation, not going to be easy at all. We need to focus on who can afford him and who would want him. He is a great player and seems like Athletico Madrid are interested, but can they afford him?

Remember, Chelsea is a rich club, so while they do want to get rid of Connor Galagher, they are not going to let him go for free, look at the Lukaku situation, we all know Lukaku will not play for Chelsea and they still ask for at least 30 million, so if that's the case for Lukaku, who doesn't even deserve it, then imagine how much they would want for Galagher.

I think Athetlico Madrid will be an amazing choice for the player, but Chelsea may want way too much, like high enough to make ATH decide not to try.

Interesting, I'm pretty sure Pep Guardiola wants Julian Alvarez to stay with Manchester City. but recent rumors have reported that Alvarez wants long playing minutes, which ultimately the Argentine international is linked with several other clubs and has the potential to leave. Julian Alvarez is actually a fairly potential player, he is often played as a supersub in Pep Guardiola's squad. but in order to get a lot of playing minutes, he has to compete with his teammates, where Haaland is a more productive player in terms of scoring goals. or, he has to show his ability to be a second striker. as we know, Pep often likes to tinker with the positions of his players. except, the pure striker position. the latest news is that Atletico Madrid has submitted an official offer to Manchester City to recruit Julian Alvarez, but the agreement depends on the Atletico player leaving for another club. plus, an agreement between Atletico and Julian Alvarez. well, is Alvarez willing to join Atletico Madrid. interesting for us to follow, because previously several clubs had been linked with Julian Alvarez, namely Arsenal and PSG. however, only Atletico have submitted an official offer as reported by Fabrizio Romano.

PSG is really lucky to get Joao Neves, Joao Neves officially move from Benfica to PSG for 60 Million Euros.

Neves is still 19 years old and he contribute many thing when he was play for Benfica, moving to PSG isn't a bad idea since Ligue 1 is tougher than Liga Portugal. But, the contract is 5 years long, so it means he might join other team when he was 24 years old, still quite young for football player.

It is a very good move if you ask me, first of all the PSG midfield options were definitely limited with only the Vitinha and Fabian Ruiz the only two players i can easily say can compete with other top clubs the remaining ones are just average players, adding Joao Neves is definitely a good move as he one of the hottest prospects In world football today. But PSG needs to be very skeptical about this move and do not over burden the young player with lots of work, he is still young and has just played one full professional season which is not enough for experience. They should sign another player or keep the Uruguayan player Urgate. My only worry is that Benfica young midfielders sold this days do not go to other clubs to do well.

Conor Gallager looks like he would be much more reliable if he was at Atletico Madrid. And fortunately, Conor Gallager seems to have agreed to join Atletico Madrid. Because his future at Chelsea doesn't look good. Well if he is not in the manager's plans for next season at Chelsea. So there was no choice for him but to move. And I think Atletico Madrid is the right choice. And based on the news I read, Conor Gallager's transfer to Atletico Madrid also looks like it will be completed in the near future.

The player was feeling disrespected at Chelsea and that’s why didn’t want the new contract, I don’t blame him that much, this season I thought with what he had done last season a new and improved contract will be given to him but yet they didn’t, his move to Atletico Madrid isn’t that bad because they play energy football that Conor Gallagher is good at but the move caught me off guard because we all know that English players hardly move away from England and even if they do they don’t go to Laliga. So it will be interesting to see how this turns out

Conor Gallagher. Great player. Outstanding productivity. Chelsea, they really are lucky to have him. Still, occasionally even the greatest require a change of environment. an unfamiliar difficulty. Still even a new league. Observe Jude Bellingham. Went to Real Madrid; today he is flourishing. Atlético Madrid is wise. They find Gallagher to have promise. They understand he may transform their game. And Gallagher deserves that type of appreciation. He ought to be more than just a "squad player."

You must sometimes strike a win-win bargain. And in this situation, I believe Atlético would be the best option for all those engaged. Chelsea, be wise. View long-term. And Gallagher, go out there and present the world with your true capacity.

Impressive signing by PSG. I know how good Joao Neves is. And paying 60 million for him is bargain. But it's quite saddening to me to see how Neves wanted to stay, but his agent was pushing Benfica to sell him. Hopefully, Neves can step up to be another great player and help strengthen PSG's mid.

Also, PSG is not yet done on Neves. They are trying to get Willian Pacho too. This surprises me, as the price gap between Neves and Pacho isn't that big. PSG signed Pacho for 40 millions.

That's pretty interesting to see what kind of lineup is gonna be assembled by Enrique to face the new season.

Pep Guardiola, one of the sport's greatest coaches, plays youthful talent. This claim that he's holding back Julian Alvarez is absurd. The Manchester City machine is built to dominate. The roster is full with world-class athletes, and Alvarez, while brilliant, faces tough competition, notably from Haaland

The youngster needs pitch time. As simple as that. Staying at City may mean scattered appearances, which is not how you become a world-class player. Leaving is a professional move, not a failure. Finding a club where Alvarez can improve and fulfill his full potential week after week is key

Transfers are ruthless. Decisions should be rational, not emotional. Alvarez must balance the status of playing for City with the need for regular playing time. The decision is difficult, yet it may make or ruin a career
Pep Guardiola knows what to do for his team, he always tries to do his best to achieve maximum results in every match. Every player who is included in the line up is the best for himself, but that doesn't mean that the other players are not good, but each player must be able to compete with other players to fight for the main position. Julian Alvarez is a talented player, he also has good skills, but he must be able to compete with Haaland for a place in the first team. Pep Guardiola prefers Haaland because he has better qualities than Julian Alvarez, so when a coach works professionally, he must prioritize the needs of the team over personal interests.

This is certainly an advantage for Leipzig because it cannot be denied that Xavi Simons is one of the players who quite shone in his performance last season with Leipzig and his performance at the Euro made him seen by many people because he managed to bring the Netherlands to the semi-finals.
In addition, this is also certainly a very good strength even though Dani Olmo left Leipzig but at least they still managed to keep Xavi Simons, Openda and Benjamin Sesko from leaving so there is little hope for Leipzig's performance to be better next season, especially for domestic competitions.
I totally agree with Xavi.S decision to be a little patient and try to hold back from tempting offers from top European teams. Although many certainly think that Xavi.S does not dare to challenge himself in a more competitive competition but because he is still young so there is still a lot of time to forge himself to be more mature in the future. There is nothing wrong with playing for Leipzig because the individual quality of the players will always be seen. In my opinion Xavi.S is still not mentally strong if he goes to the EPL, from what he showed with the Dutch National Team during the Euro, it can be said that Xavi.S was the player who was hit the hardest when the Netherlands failed to qualify for the Final.
It seems to be about choice and the thought of being in a comfortable place for oneself.
We know that being at a new club sometimes it is not very favorable for some players in terms of adaptation so Xavi does not want to take this kind of risk at a new club because he is already quite comfortable with Leipzig especially with his position that has never been replaced by anyone in the starting line-up.

Besides, there is no guarantee that being at a new club will get the same proportion that Leipzig is giving now. Leipzig have already lost Dani Olmo who has almost certainly left for Barcelona which of course this is a new situation where Xavi Simons' role and performance in Leipzig will clearly be increasingly needed in this regard.
I also agree with what you said where when he does not rush and keep doing it comfortably then indirectly this can also make his condition even better.

Niclas Füllkrug is about to be officially a West Ham player. The sides have agreed upon a 27.5 million pounds fee.

SkySports

I didn't know West Ham even offered a deal for him. But am I surprised? Of course not.  Smiley  He had a really good season with Dortmund. He attracted attention by his big effort. He is a deadly finisher and still not too old for a striker  (31). Dortmund is really good at making profits in player sales. They signed him for 17 million euros and now they are about to sell him for nearly two times this amount.  Wink After only one year I mean, it's impressive!

Niclas Füllkrug is a good signing from West Ham. The only problem is West Ham paid £27m for him, which is not a bargain price. I know he is a quality player. But, it's too much to spend on a 31-year-old, especially since West Ham gave him a 3-year deal. Also, Niclas Füllkrug hasn’t even done it in the premier league.

And it's very hard to see getting our money back after we spent it on him if he doesn’t work out for this club. Many said he is a decent goalscorer, but his quality has not yet been proven in the Premier League.

Nothing surprises me caused by it's a typical West Ham signing.

After not being included in the main squad list there is nothing to do but leave, Gallager and the coach have difficulty finding a match so don't force it anymore.
Conor Gallager departure is a big loss for Chelsea because during his time playing with Chelsea Conor Gallager was a reliable leader. Atletico Madrid will certainly provide a proper place for Conor Gallager. With Atletico Madrid's characteristic of playing aggressively, he provides additional plus value. At least Atletico is still the strongest team in La Liga even though last season there was a decline.
Conor Gallager looks like he would be much more reliable if he was at Atletico Madrid. And fortunately, Conor Gallager seems to have agreed to join Atletico Madrid. It’s not Chelsea’s fault that the manager says he is not part of his plans, not that he is not a good player he just won’t suit the manager’s style of play. I don’t see a reason why he should be upset or want to fight for a spot when clearly the coach won’t use him so it would even be better to join another team and not waste a whole season on the bench waiting for an opportunity that may never come.

I think Gallagher have now verbally agreed to join Athletico Madrid on a transfer fee of 40m according to reports from fabrizio not long ago.

Right now Manchester City is literally suffering from success. Manchester City has so many great players that the young players are not getting enough chances.

Why do you even think Pep would let a mediocre play on his team? He would never and there is no reason to. If he need a player to fill in a hole of his starting lineup, he could sign a well seasoned player instead of letting  the youngster develop. Julian Alvarez is probably one of the top youngster that he has with alot of potential but he hasnt been a regular starting lineup yet. If he moves to another club, he would most likely always be the starting lineup

Manchester City is a club that aim for the trophy instead of nurturing young players and aside from that almost everyone got rotated by Pep so yeah you cant expect the youngster to even get a decent playtime if they stay in Manchester City

Beşiktaş's defeat upset Galatasaray's balance. They broke a transfer record by paying astronomical money for a second division player nobody had ever heard of called Gabriel Sara. Galatasaray management is trying something different. It looks like a transfer that was made to put money in someone's pocket. Who is Gabriel Sara to be worth that kind of money? For the same money they could have bought a star like McTominay. Galatasaray's job is very difficult this season. Neither in the league nor in the European Cups is it possible for them to go far. They have been wasting the money they have earned in the last two years.
