French coach Claude Puel got sacked by Leicester after a 4-1 loss at home against Crystal Palace.

This has actually happened later than I had expected, He's managed to secure just one draw from their seven matches, and lost six matches, with three consecutive ones.

That draw was at Anfield against PL leaders LFC but yeah, their results have been poor so I guess the sacking is justified.

I think Chelsea can also still make an appeal via Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) If they could be allowed to make signing for the upcoming window while they will serve their ban for the next two consecutive windows after that, similar to what happened to Atletico Madrid, if i'm not mistaking.
Real Madrid also had a similar case back in 2017, they went to the CAS and their transfer ban was reduced[1].

About Atletico Madrid, the transfer ban was upheld even though they went to the CAS. So what Atletico did was buy players (the ban doesn't stop you from buying players) but since they couldn't register new players at the club (same as Chelsea), they couldn't play with Atletico, so they sent them out on loan.

Funny, even the Wall Street Journal is talking about Sarri's situation in Chelsea :

Chelsea May Have to Hit the Reset Button, Again

https://www.wsj.com/articles/chelsea-may-have-to-hit-the-reset-button-again-11550833200?mod=e2tw

To be fair to them sacking their manager(s) on a regular basis has brought them lots of success over the years.

Wow...  So does that mean Hazard's not going anywhere?  What's gonna happen?  Are loan moves not allowed too?

And Sarri.  I guess he's staying.  Lmao.  No manager will ever want to be at Chelsea right now.  Grin

Damn Chelsea's board should be giving their core squad some hefty contracts soon.

That's a big blow to the club, What a situation to be stuck with!
I think this might be a blessing a in disguise because I'd expect the club who has a number of talented young players out on loan opt to make the most out of these players.

"ban on registering new players", I'm pretty sure that means no loans either. But they have A LOT of players on loan right now, so it's not like they're gonna miss not signing a new player. Out on loan: Morata, Bakayoko, Zouma, Moses, Kennedy, Batshuayi, Morata, Piazon, and like 30 others.

And Sarri.  I guess he's staying.  Lmao.  No manager will ever want to be at Chelsea right now.  Grin
Absolutely. New managers often demand the signing of new players, just like Sarri did when he asked for Jorginho. This ban changes everything, and like you said, they might have to offer Hazard, who's close to going to Real Madrid, a bigger paycheck just so he can stay...Although, they signed Pulisic to replace him...right?

I think it’ll just be a ban on incoming transfers which includes no loans coming in. I think Hazard will still push for hos move away.

Chelsea have been sancionted by the Fifa and the english club won't be able to make any transfers (specifically, buying players) for two transfer windows. The ban will be lifted in summer 2020.

Just when I was thinking that it was time to "clean-up" the squad and simply buy some new players in the next transfer window...And with this news, I doubt they're gonna sell Hazard to Real Madrid any time soon.

This ban is a very strict one. Chelsea should be banned like this for transfers that had made for players under 18. If they had broken the law for transfers that would solidify the senior squad then I agree but not this time.
Hazard may leave the club with more money but not with an exchange of players as it was discussed in the previous transfer window. It is not a concern but the club needed some players in many positions.

Fox Sports has reported that there is a potential swap deal involving Manchester United's Romelu Lukaku and Inter's Mauro Icardi and Juventus' Dybala. It is rumored that Machester is looking to swap them between either two Serie A stars which in my opinion is far from happening. The drop on Lukaku's value is way more significant compared to how important those two players are for their team. If they are looking for a real swap deal to happen they might need to start looking for another player.

Hey while I doubt Dybala will leave as Ronaldo would stay max for one year, then he’s the undisputed star at Juventus so I don’t see him leaving. In the case Mauro he’s just been stripped of his captaincy, and he will be more keen for a swap and come to Manchester United. As far the value is concerned we live in an inflated transfer market, so this deal could very well go ahead but question is will Mauro make it to the starting line up?.

Does Ronaldo have a contract of only one year? I didn't know that.
Overall, Dybala is very overrated he hasn't contributed a lot at Juventus compared to other players and I think that is he moves to another club he will be probably benched or unable to score. If he won't work harder he will not be a competitive player in the future.

I didn’t vote on the poll because I think Sarri might get sacked before the season ends & that option isn’t there.
True, Roman Abramovich is one very impatient club owner... According to what I saw in the past involving past manager, If Sarri manages more than 10 games at Chelsea. Then I will think he is somewhat lucky.

I honestly think he'll get sacked if he doesn't win against Manchester City next weekend. If he does win then the board might wait until the of the season (top 4 is the main objective).
Which would be a hard task for him, Manchester City already defeated them on a horrifying 6-0 win recently this month and City is on a hot winning streak which is currently 5 wins in a row in all matches. But I do think it still depends on the situation as I haven't seen any hot leads on who will be his replacement yet if he gets sack. Sacking him right now won't really do anything as they can't rebuild without a replacement manager planning the next move for the season.

Former French international Lassana Diarra has just announced his retirement, effective immediately.
He used to play for Arsenal, Chelsea and Real Madrid, his career has been mostly ups and downs.
He rescinded his contract with PSG.
I remember him in Real Madrid, not the greatest signing but a decent player who got the job done. At some point he wore the number 10, yeah,  probably the last player you'd expect to wear the legendary number 10 in Real Madrid...I'd rather forget that tbh.

If he wins the League Cup this weekend then that’s a good start to keeping his job although I think he’ll be judged on if he gets Chelsea into the top 4 regardless of cup success (unless they win the EL as that’s a path to CL qualification too).
