I would not say that the David Raya deal is a smart signing, i don't know what Arteta was thinking there, David Raya is not such a good goalkeeper, neither is he better than Ramsdale, they are both on the same level (average); i know he was trying to bring competition in that position, but it has not worked out that way, Raya has been shaky since he joined Arsenal and he has been culpable for quite a few goals. I'm pretty sure Arteta knows he's made a mistake, but he is not yet humble enough to accept that he made a mistake and restore Ramsdale to him number 1 position, he is sticking to his guns, but that might be Arsenal's undoing this season.

And some of the confusion may be my fault for not being more precise with my wording, but the situation is what it is and starting from where Barcelona stands, I thought that they could bridge the gap of a missing striker due to injury with their creative attacking line and midfielders, but they can't. With the striker Lewandowski, they also have big problems. Which is why I said that I made a mistake thinking that on paper they don't look all too bad, but the results are not reflecting my first impression. I would understand not wanting Mbappe, but Musiala is not the player that could replace him, they need a striker and without a striker they will not do well enough. Musiala is another midfielder, and yes he is an attacking midfielder, so he is someone that would be good for the team at the front, but he is not a striker.

Real already has way too many midfielders and this would not make any sense. At that point, they will end up having like 2 defenders, 2 wingers and just 6 midfielders for the whole game, that just doesn't make sense at all if you ask me, that is a silly silly move. They need to get a striker, its fine if they do not want to get Mbappe, I do agree that he is a trouble, but at least get another striker.
