If De Bruyne or Bernardo Silva leaves the club, it is possible that Man City signs Musiala. But if those players still stay at Man City, I'm not sure they want to spend much money to sign Musiala. I also a bit doubt that Musiala wants to move to Man City because he may have a lower chance to play there. It won't be easy to compete with 2 top attacking midfielders to get a regular position. Musiala mustn't expect to sit on the bench.
Bernardo Silva newly extended his contract therefore I don't feel like he is leaving anytime soon. He has a contract running until 2026 now. But for De Bruyne, we never know. There have been quite many rumours linking him with Saudi Arabia teams. Honestly I would rather see him staying at Manchester City for one more year at least. It is really delightful to watch him play here.
If both of them stays then I don't see it very sensible to sign Musiala. Because there are going to be so many good alternatives in the squad and Guardiola would have more problems on making a choice among them. Besides we don't even know whether Bayern Munich would be keen on selling him.
It could be that because De Bruyne will leave next season, City is now trying to recruit Musiala from Bayern. Pep is certainly not just looking for additional rotation options in his squad, he won't do that if Bernardo Silva and De Bruyne stay longer at the Etihad. I also hope De Bruyne stays for another season or two, because his performance is still quite good and it is quite difficult to find a replacement of his caliber in the transfer window.
The latest news states that Bayern will not accept any offers, they do not want to negotiate with any club regarding Musiala future. Bayern management will retain one of its best assets for next season, where they will try again to repair their dominance which has been broken by Leverkusen this season.
On the other hand, I think Pep is slowly starting to make a transition to rejuvenate his main squad, where last season several important names who helped him win the Champions League trophy were also released. Their failure against Madrid yesterday in the quarter-finals indicates that City should add depth to their squad next season, if they have the ambition to continue to be a title challenging team every season.
