It's rare for us to see Marcos Alonso's appearance at Barcelona this season and even last season it was like that. This makes the player reluctant to stay at Barcelona and it seems that the club will not give him a contract extension considering that his contract will expire this summer. Hearing that, Atletico moved quickly to obtain his services as a free agent in the summer and it was confirmed that he would join Atletico.

Is this how some players disappear so quickly? I can't recall ever seeing a player with that name play for Barcelona. He was at his best when he was playing for Chelsea, but his move to Barcelona is not beneficial to him and is already bringing his career to an end. Marcos Alonso was a good left back at Chelsea who was also supportive in the forward position. What a sad situation for him.

Quote
Actually, there is no harm in letting Barcelona go because he is already 33 years old and does not fit into Barcelona's existing squad, which is mostly filled with young players. Moving to Atletico is not a bad choice and he can still play in the highest competition rather than having to go to the Saudi league or another league. It's just that with this free agent status, Barcelona does not benefit from the transfer of Marcos Alonso.

He should consider himself fortunate that Atletico Madrid is interested in him and would like to have him on their squad. He could perform better there and receive more playing time than he did at Barcelona. Going to the Saudi League is not a bad option for him if he wants to, after all, many people believe that is where most of the top Euro players will always retire.

I think Conte would be good for Napoli, I want him to go there. Napoli has a good squad and what they need now is a good coach who can handle the team. Conte likes hard workers and Napoli has players that are hard workers that will fit into his game plan. Also, Conte is a winner. He knows how to get his team back on track and that's what Napoli needs right now. I believe they still have what it takes to compete for the league. Conte also understands the Italian league, he has so much experience. They should do all they can to hire him.
The only disadvantage I see with Conte is that I don't think he's a long-term Manager. He usually has problems with the club's management or players after a while or his team will just stop performing well.

For Conte to do well in a short period, Napoli needs to also reinforce their squad. Some of their players like Osimhen and Zielinski might be leaving so they'll need to get replacements and also sign more payers in other departments that are lacking. For them to get back to fighting for the league, there's a lot of work to be done during the transfer window and I hope they know what they're doing.

No issues with whatever he Antonio Conte would want to do, my only concern right now has got to be that, the management to f Napoli will not back him up with the players he wants. Are they any different from Tottenham Hotspur?
Antonio Conte ideal club to move to currently would be Bayern Munich but I double doubt the possibilities of that happening.

I would love to see him as manager of AC Milan though, if the Old Ladies are no longer interested in recruiting him though. He will do well with Ac Milan.
Pioli has been inconsistent and I want to see Ac Milan do well when it comes to the European Competitions just like the Champions League Competition.

Napoli players though would be leaving the club. Not ask of them in between.
Even right now we are having uncertainty around with things could be clear after the end of this season, but few weeks back I have read somewhere Antonio Conte is coming to AC Milan as they are already having all things set and announcement will become after the end of this season because management were not happy with the Pioli, and they want to bring him here for the better results in coming season even there is nothing officially about this, but some rumors were around which give things like these can happen.
We are going to have a good number of posts to available after the end of this season for the coaches so many will be able to have their jobs on and few will be surely going to leave unemployed for sometime for me Antonio Conte is surely going to have good time at the AC Milan in next season.

this 18 year old kid is creating a lot of noise. I hope people understand that he is being pursued by big names like Liverpool, Arsenal,  Bayern Munich  and Chelsea.  being such interesting to search Big gloves at such a young age is absolutely incredible. Now I Wonder If all the clubs should actually spend so much money trying to get him. because even though the Marketplace for players has become saturated and a big inflation is also going on right now,  I still think this much money is a lot for a young kid.  or maybe I am just a little too old.  maybe I just cannot think about such a price for such a player  when I saw Cristiano Ronaldo going to Real Madrid for 94 million and that was a record transfer at that time.  of course it has been a long time since then. At the same time I guess this player can also be a very big asset for any club. so I guess they can spend this much money for him.

Quote
Barcelona and Chelsea are both working on a move for Palmeiras winger Estevao Willian, with the 16-year old’s release clause set at £51m.
Source: Sunday Mirror

I wonder from where Barcelona is going to get the £51m. They don't have much money if I am not wrong. And I wonder if they should actually go for this player to be honest. Chelsea has money as far as i know. So if the only competition is actually Barca, I dont think they are going to have any problem winning over the player.

He is a good player I know that. And him being only 16 is also going to work in his favour. The club he will go to is also going to get his service for a long time. But when it comes to barcelona I dont know if they should spend 51 million euro for him at this moment. And I dont think the player should go to chelsea.

Modric has already answered a hundred times about moving to Al-Nasr, he says that he really hopes to stay in Real Madrid, but the contract has not yet been signed. Perhaps there is nothing wrong with this, if a player feels that he is in good shape and can continue to play at a high level, then why should he not continue to play for his team. In any case, if his performance deteriorates, Ancelotti can always replace him.

There is also the problem that with age the likelihood of injury increases, remember how many injuries Ibrahimovic had when he continued to play in recent years. But Modric always seemed to be doing well, I don’t remember him spending much time with any kind of injury.
Real Madrid is a great team and they've achieved quite alot since they existed in the world of football. Real Madrid have losts the qualities and sense of these key players because they all have grown old and they're now incompetent for the huge tasks facing the club. Carlo Ancelotti will have to make signings for the team as he focuses on moving to top edge this season. Luka Modric was in prime but he failed to lift his qualities as a player, he has alot to achieve and I've watch how these great players becomes tender and weak when they're getting age.

Yep. Modric isn't interested to move to Saudi League, he prefers to stay with Real Madrid if he still has the chance to stay there. However, Real Madrid may have some consideration to not extend his contract, it is related to his age. Real Madrid must prefer to put younger players in the main lineup, so Modric will be a substituted player only if he wants to stay. We know Real Madrid already have some top midfielders as the successor of Modric. This is probably the reason why Real Madrid still didn't extend his contract.

You're right. When a player is almost 40 years old, he will be easier to get injury and no longer has a good fitness. That's why Modric never played full time anymore, he moslty just played in the second half of the match. Or he played in the first half of the match only, he will be changed with another player in second half. Modric will be more often to sit on the bench, it is also to give more time for younger players to play. And this is also the way to avoid severe injury.

chelsea news:

Alfie Gilchrist signs new deal at Chelsea valid until June 2026, all done

There’s also an option to extend contract until 2027.

“Signing this contract at Chelsea is massive for me”.

“It was a no-brainer, every time I’ve signed a contract here it has felt nicer and nicer. Now I want to keep on pushing on and keep improving to help my club”

source: https://www.instagram.com/p/C5QuKVKoIcv/

 Huh

I honestly can't understand how Chelsea manages the players and the priorities in relation to the players they need. for example in the case of Alfie Gilchrist, in the last 11 games Alfie Gilchrist only played in just 1 game as a starting player, this is something I don't understand, because he is a player who is 20 years old, he is not being used at Chelsea , Chelsea in the last 11 games conceded goals in all 11 games, and in most of those 11 games they conceded more than 2 goals. So wouldn't it have been good if the Chelsea coach had started Alfie Gilchrist in many games to see his defensive capabilities and then make a better decision about his future?

So I wonder again if Alfie Gilchrist hasn't even played in the last 10 games at the start of the games why are Chelsea signing him to a new deal until 2026? What does Chelsea gain from this? Since he isn't even the main option and Chelsea's defense is very weak? Wouldn't it have been better if Chelsea had spent money on good players to defend Chelsea? I don't understand how Chelsea management thinks. It's something very strange about the decisions they make when hiring

Kepa, set to return to Chelsea in June after loan spell at Real Madrid

Kepa’s always been respectful and committed, he will remain professional; he lives Real as a dream chance.

His last appearance was in January as club decided to trust Lunin and offer Ukrainian goalkeeper a new deal.

Real Madrid are waiting for Courtois back next season and then plan to extend Lunin’s contract beyond 2025.

Indeed, Chelsea and Manchester United are the teams that have always made strange choices when it comes to choosing players and what they will do with them. In my opinion, the players who go to Chelsea and Manchester United destroy their future

He is very close to becoming a Real Madrid legend. I think instead of going to the Arabian League, he should accept everything Real Madrid will ask of him and sign a contract with Real Madrid for one or two more years and jubilee at Real Madrid. In fact, it is more rational to transfer to the Arabian League and earn extra retirement bonuses, but a jubilee at Real Madrid could turn him into a legend. I think it's better for him to stay at Real Madrid because I'm more emotional than rational about these things. Besides, there are no footballers who have done that in the last years, everyone thinks that making more money is the first priority.
Even if he leaves he will still be seen as one of the legends of the Madrid midfield because indeed with what he has done and the achievements he has obtained over the past decade in Madrid it is enough to make Modric considered a legend so regardless of whether he leaves or tries to create a situation where he stays 1 more season it doesn't matter in my opinion because he is still a Legend.

Modric is now 38 years old and I think that is quite an old age for a player in Madrid and it is a new thing when Madrid continues to retain players of Modric's age because of his expertise to manage the midfield well he continues to be trusted even to an old age like this but regeneration must continue and the time is now for Modric to leave his position and seek new experiences with comfort before finally deciding to retire.
His contract expires in a couple of months and to date I have not seen any move or talk from Madrid about a short-term extension for the player.

If modric is in a team that has players willing to play, he also is going to be willing to play. Modric in a team that has Ronaldo and all the players that Al-Nassr FC has will make Modric to be willing to play because he'll be getting the motivation to win trophies. Ronaldo changed the mentality of the Al nassr players but Benzema thinks he came for vacation and he's only enjoying himself while the team is doing all the work, this is why he has being playing badly. Ronaldo teams has Sadio mane and others always trying to win every single game therefore modric should be very selective of the teams that he'll be going to join or he'll end up becoming a bad footballer as Benzema is becoming. Saudi leagues isn't competitive to the standard of trying to be a solo player, you need everyone in the team to have an impact on matches and winning them.

Modric is still performing well in Real Madrid, I would like him to continue with them, he should renew his contract with them, he is getting old but still has the opportunity to play even if it is not 90 minutes, Modric has my advantage for Madrid, he is a very talented player and any club would like to have him on their team, if Modric moves to Al Nassar I don't think he will perform very well again because their pattern of play is not like Europe's, he should try and ret He has everything he needs at Madrid, so I don't think he should leave to another club to play; any players that move to the Saudi league, he won't perform well again. he will just go an rest and be eating cool money without stressing there self.  All the players that leave Europe you won't hear about them anymore if is not only Ronaldo.

I heard that Real Madrid demand Modric to not play for Croatia if he want to stay in Real Madrid for the next season, which may his biggest reason to think carefully before make a decision.

Yeah, in the recent years, Modric never suffered any serious injury, it's mostly below 10 days. What make it interesting, the older Modric is, the injury time become shorter, unlike other matured players. Check https://www.transfermarkt.com/luka-modric/verletzungen/spieler/27992

It appears that Napoli has not given up on pursuing Conte as a new coach since there was no good coach who can perform as good as spallet. Winning scudetto has been triggering the club to perform even better and it was also forcing the president to spend more money in order to recruit a good coach for napoli. Napoli's president understands that the club requires someone who has extensive experience in driving club performance and this could be the main motivation for him to send another offer for conte. Recently, there has been renewed speculation that Napoli will make another offer for Conte which is even bigger compared to the previous one.

Napoli is now seriously considering offering Conte a new contract, given that the club has yet to find a suitable coach to manage the club and what do you think guys? Is conte good for napoli?

Napoli has tried to put former of spalletti's asistant manager to handle the squad but spalleti is spalleti.

Napoli are preparing a huge offer for Antonio Conte as the Italian manager's reunion with Harry Kane at Bayern Munich now looks unlikely.

After Spalletti departure to the Italian national team, Napoli continued to change coaches and even this season they have used the services of Rudi Garcia, Walter Mazzarri and now Francesco Calzona as interim coach to help Napoli until the end of the season, I think the repeated changes of coach in one season actually made Napoli's performance worse as it is today,  Compared to the previous two coaches, Francesco Calzona can still lift Napoli's current performance but of course Napoli cannot keep him longer because he is still under contract with the Slovakian national team.

I think if Napoli want to repeat the success of 2022/23 when they won the Scudetto of course they should be able to find a top coach and have good experience in coaching clubs in Italy, reportedly Napoli are approaching Conte who is indeed unemployed after Conte was sacked by Tottenham, I think Conte's experience in coaching many big teams including Juventus and Intermilan will certainly promise a lot of changes for Napoli next season,  Napoli are also ready to give more than €100m to Conte to strengthen the Napoli squad next season and if that materialises then I'm pretty sure Napoli will be able to be Scudetto contenders like they did last season.

Anceloti bench Modric many times this season and I think that has to do with his age. What's the point of making him play when he can easily sustain injury, he is not as active as before, I think it's right time he pick another club and continue his journey, there are more of young players in the club that are young and can do better than in every way but I respect him for his experience.

It's obvious Modric want to turn the Real Madrid to a family club and loyalty and football doesn't work like that unless he is ready to settle for the position they gave him which is to be assisting as the part of the coach. Who knows one day when Anceloti leave the club, he will replace the coach position just like the way Zidane did back then and his contributions is always remember anytime Real Madrid achievement is been discussed.

Luca Modric is 38, but never underestimate his work ethic for his team, Real Madrid. Currently, as we know, Real Madrid has a stock of midfielders, including two seniors, including Kroos and Luca Modric. However, Ancelotti more often reserves this player from Croatia. This season, Don Carlo only played Modric as the main starter 12 times out of his 25 matches with Real Madrid. in particular, Modric started when one of their young midfielders was injured. that's normal, apart from his age. However, Ancelotti still really needs him as an established player in his team.

This time his role is not only on the field, but on the training ground. His contribution to Real Madrid's young midfielders is enormous. That's why the Croatian midfielder is still with Real Madrid even though his duties are not the same as when he was still heavily relied on. I don't follow developments regarding Modric with Real Madrid, but I would really appreciate it if he really hung up his shoes at Real Madrid. Modric already has everything, he no longer needs to move clubs and play with other clubs in other leagues. moreover, for the Saudi Pro League. he is a Madrid legend, it is natural for him to end his career at the club and team he considers his home and family. as you said, it is possible that Modric will still be part of Real Madrid even though he is no longer a player.

At the age of 38, of course Luka Modrić is no longer able to compete in playing in the top European leagues, so it is only fitting that Luka Modrić spends the rest of his career playing in the Saudi Arabian league to collect more money and also there the league is not competitive making him Luka Modrić can still compete in showing his performance, which is different if he stays at Real Madrid.
I didn’t even notice modric is 38 years already because he still plays as if he is in his early 30’s, he still a lot of potential in him to offer a club but if Madrid is looking for his replacement then i think they are the doing the right thing for the club because he is old already and for a team like Madrid that demands much for players he would not fit anymore. Madrid have spent so much money on young players and they need to create space for the young ones to develop into great players.

Saudi league is not like before, it is very much competitive as other leagues and a lot of European players are playing their. Modric can be exceptional there but he still have to put in efforts because even Ngolo Kante said the league is not as he pictured it to be and it’s more competitive than how people see it.
The main reason why Madrid always gives Modric short term contracts until this season is because of his leadership spirit, which is difficult to find in young players even though they have better physicality and strength. However, it looks like this season will be the last season for Modric, as we know the age factor is a major obstacle, and I see Modric has helped the transition period go well. Ancelotti certainly does not doubt the bargaining value of a player of Modric caliber, who can still make a difference to the outcome of a match even though he is 38 years old.

Competition in midfield will become increasingly fierce, Ancelotti must prioritize young players and give them more time, in order to ensure regeneration goes according to plan and safeguard the club interests in the coming seasons. Clubs from the Saudi Pro League will definitely see this opportunity, meaning the opportunity to recruit Modric because he has started to be pushed out of Madrid main squad, and Modric has the profile they want. Saudi Pro League clubs usually look for big name players, and Modric is suitable to increase the prestige of the Saudi League by signing him.

What Ancelotti did with Modric was to provide more space for his young players to build a solid squad in the position that Modric would leave. Because the aim is to prepare a longterm squad and his contract at Madrid has never been extended. Madrid will have plenty of time at least to slowly fill the midfielder void. I understand Ancelotti goals and maybe Kross can still be a starter because his contract has been extended but that doesn't mean his position will not be replaced. Ancelotti needs time until next season because several new players will be brought in. The problem with Modric future is that he could retire or, as is rumored play in the SPL.

Modric was almost bringing Croatia to gets the trophies several times and i am sure he won't be missed the opportunities to play with Croatia again for Euro 2024 moreover if we see from his current age i think this is his last chances to playing with Croatia national team before he got retired so i think Modric will give him priority to playing with Croatia and about his future in Real Madrid it has been discuss before unlike Toni Kroos who successfully to extended his contract with Real Madrid but Modric future is still uncertain in this team because although his contract will be ended at the end of this season but Real Madrid still haven't thinking to give him contract extension even Ancelotti personally to says no further talks for a new contract with Modric yet

Modric was lost to compete with young players such as Jude Bellingham, Federico Valverde, Aurelien Tchouameni, and Eduardo Camavinga because Ancelotti are more prefer to played these players than him it proven from his records this season that Modric was playing 24 total with Real Madrid but he was starting the match from the bench 12 times and if he want to gets more minutes to play Modric have to thinking look for new clubs and he can considering the offers from Saudi Arabian clubs or MLS

Modric is not a scorer like those two, so it Is not clear indicator on how he plays, but basically if he doesn't get injured and plays almost all games then yeah he will be good. They can pay him 100+ million a year, he would be famous enough to do that, but at the same time it wouldn't be easy to convince him neither. Just because he is there, doesn't mean that he would be willing to play, that Is why it is a risky move to pay that much to him.

Amongst the names mentioned to join Al Nassr are both Casemiro and Luka Modric who Real Madrid has no plans of extending his contract, they have been linked before but it seems clearly and possible this time around ad Manchester United are opened towards cashing out big from the sale of Casemiro if he eventually joins Saudi Arabian Premier League Competition.

Ronaldo's a great idol, the world doesn't need too much talks from him, the records and all he has achieved speaks for him. And also in a team, one man cannot do it all, this is the reasons why Karim is suffering. They have literally expected too much from him.

I can't day the plans of Luka Modric though, old but still quality enough to bring in creativity and productivity. He is still good enough for Real Madrid, it's just that they have to do this the hard way so they can build around other younger players like Àrda Guler.
