I think this might be just a temporary pump..

Looking at the coinmarketcap charts, if this coin was a pump, surely this coin would have met the same fate as LDOGE, where the value was pumped so high (to 8000 satoshis I believe) and then plummeted back down to 4 satoshis.

Footycash did climb up to around $0.09 before retracing back to around $0.05, but has since tripled since then

FootyCash reached a high of above $0.54 USD in anticipation of the new client version with Masternodes and Anonymous Send (just like DASH and PIVX).  The Beta Version of FootyCash has now been released.

You must understand it is MUCH harder to dump an altcoin that only has a total of 4 million coins

No one has enough coins to dump that would affect the price long term.

Five days ago FootyCash did over 22 BTC in volume in a 24 hour period on Cryptopia! for the first time in its history!

The price also reached an all-time high before dropping again as a result of low volume in anticipation of the BIP148 activation and Bitcoin Fork.

Considering all speculation the price is expected to recover then continue it's rise.

That is something to be proud of.

Something else to be proud of is the Beta Release of the new FootyCash Client with Masternodes and Anonymous Send like DASH and PIVX:

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1374929.560

Hello, we're looking for 5 beta testers for the new release of FootyCash.  Ideally, we would have a few that want to run masternodes and a few regular clients.  I'll send some beta test coins to the first five to respond.  Post your address after setting up the new client.  Post one for your masternide and one for your regular client.

Installing the new client will not overwrite your current client, they will be in different blockchains. Still, it doesn't hurt to backup your current setup.

It will take up to 24 hours before your coins begin staking, so be patient.  It takes 15 confirmations for your masternode to begin running, so please be patient.

The current setup is 60 blocks with .5 block reward split 1/3 to staker and 2/3 to master node. This will add approximately 250k per year.  The beta test blockchain will be blown away after the test, so these beta test coins will vanish when we go live.

I'm heading to my day job now in Australia time, and will send coins when I am able to to get the beta started.

Here is a direct link to the windows wallet download for the beta test:
https://github.com/clifer/FootyCashV2/releases/download/v2.0.0.1-Beta/footycash-qt-windows.zip

In case you want to compile, the source code is at https://github.com/clifer/FootyCashV2

You will need these addnodes for now until dns seed is setup:

addnode=footycash.com:17017
addnode=footycash.com:27017

----------------------------------------------

Masternode instructions:

Local masternode setup option A
This is the easy way. I'll write up instructions for option B remote control later

1. Start wallet normally and get 100% synced.

2. in console type: "masternode genkey"  - and save the output for use in a later step

3. in console type: "getaccountaddress 0"  - this is the address where exactly 5000 coins should be sent

4. send exactly 5000 coins to the address from step 3. the masternode needs 15 confirmations on the 5000 coin transaction before it will work, but the remaining steps can be completed now

4.  shutdown wallet

5.  add this to footycash.conf - the directory name is FootyCashV2, so it doesn't conflict with current client:
rpcuser=
rpcpassword=
rpcallowip=127.0.0.1
#----
listen=1
server=1
daemon=1
staking=0
#--------------------
masternode=1
masternodeaddr=your IP address:your port
masternodeprivkey=the output from step 2

6. restart the client

7. in console type: "masternode start "
you only need the password if you have encrypted the wallet
you may have to run this more than once if the transaction doesn't have 15 confirmations yet

Despite the naysayers FootyCash (FOOT) is doing very well in the markets.

Anticipation for the new FootyCash (FOOT) client with Masternodes and Privacy Send like DASH and PIVX is what causing the increased volume with significant price rises on most exchanges.

dude your are one of the most annoying users around here!
i don't expect you to know how the market works but please stop to promote your bag of FOOT day for day.
Of course the price isn't affected. Not because this coin is so incredible good, it is because of the low ass volume after i pumped the coin to 14k and sold to whoever was stupid enough to place big buy orders at 12,5k.
You might like the idea of footy cash but it doesn't mean that this is a performing coin at the moment. People like you prevent people from buying in. How serious can the community of footy be taken if 70% of the posts in the announcement thread are from you and even the speculation thread was created by you. Just fuck off and let this coin naturally grow. And stop with this fucking news-paper phrases at the beginning of your posts.

edit: and if you don't stop with this BS i'll dump this coin back to 3000sats. believe me :-)

Looks like 5K for a masternode:

when we can run masternodes?? and how many coins we need?? i'm intresting, brobably
this is the next Chaincoin or even beter Smiley

Soon, very soon. 5k coins for a masternode.

Like dmanicus said, masternodes will require 5,000 FOOT.  We are hoping to have a beta version available to test shortly and then will announce more details after that.

I don't want to comment on price as the developer, but I can assure you that we are working hard behind the scenes and this is a long-term coin.

New ATH (5300sats) and with masternodes and other features coming up, this is just the beginning! easily 1$

I Predict FootyCash will go to $10.00 USD before end of year!

How did you know to get involved in FootyCash and Litecoin? were you looking at the 'Last' (price) column in Cryptopia? Or did you come across another method?

In 2012 I read Litecoin's whitepaper - it was better and newer technology than Bitcoin so naturally I invested.

For FootyCash I used my analysis method on Cryptopia to find FootyCash.

After analyzing FootyCash and seeing that there was only 4 million coins total, I was mystified as to why the price was so low; so I tried to find something wrong with the coin - and I couldn't find anything.  There was nothing wrong with the coin.

I attributed the low price to simply people just didn't know about the coin.

There are over 800 altcoins; it's hard for people to research them all - so I started an "awareness campaign" to make people aware of the coin, then afterward the price started rising.

Here is why FootyCash is going to $10.00 USD or more before end of year:

Footy Cash (FOOT) has seen a meteoric rise in valuation for the past month; with a price increase of more than 5000%+ on multiple exchanges.

https://www.cryptopia.co.nz/Exchange/?market=FOOT_BTC#

https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/footy-cash-foot-coinswap-decentralized-fantasy-sports-1374929

I think the reason being is that:

1. Footy has Rarity - Only 4 million coins total can exist.  There is a small POS inflation rate - about 3% annually (for staked coins only).
How many of you can say like the Winklevoss twins - that you own whole percentages of a cryptocurrency.
Looking the current price of FootyCash you actually might be able to!

2. Footy is the first Fantasy Sports Crypotocurrency ever made. - Footy is the Bitcoin of Fantasy Sports!

3. Fantasy Sports is a multi-billion dollar industry - with tens of billions of dollars in annual revenue just for Fantasy Football alone!  If you count all the illegal gambling the figure goes much higher - maybe hundreds of billions? (not that I am condoning illegal gambling - but it's a fact of reality that must be considered anyway).

4. Coinmarketcap list just under 900 altcoins; of those listed only a  small percentage of altcoins have a cap of less than 4 million total coin.  Every coin on coinmarketcap with a rarity of less than 7 million total coins produced are all worth more than $2.00 USD - with the exception of Dreamcoin (because of YOBIT) and FOOTY CASH (which is currently undergoing a price correction: 5000% increase in the past month alone.)

5. The coin was greatly undervalued because of unawareness of the Footy cryptocurrency and Fantasy Sports as well.  As more and more people become aware of its value the price will continue to rise. The price may go higher than $10.00 USD per coin before the end of the year!

6. FootyCash has a great developer, active development, and the best community support!

7. FootyCash has a promising roadmap and is currently developing Masternodes and Anonymous Send like DASH and PIVX for the next release.

8.  The name FootyCash may sound funny but "Footy Cash" is an actual English term (apparently):

     https://www.power100.com.au/news/local-news/81959-footy-cash-to-go-to-good-friday-appeal
     and

9. DraftKings, FanDuel, and other Fantasy Sports companies are getting the legislative green light to operate in most U.S States and other countries as well.

    When these companies decide to follow the trend of most corporations and switch to blockchain technology - I guarantee you that they will take a hard look at FootyCash first!

Quote
Why would Draftkings or Fanduel select FootyCash (FOOT) for customer deposits/withdrawals over conventional Cryptocurrencies such as Bitcoin or Ethereum?  Why should they use FootyCash over Bitcoin?

FootyCash (FOOT) is the first cryptocurrency designed for Fantasy Sports and there are only 4 million total coins ever; as good as those reasons are, what makes FootyCash a better choice over Bitcoin for DraftKings and Fanduel customer deposits/withdrawals are the following reasons:

FootyCash's roadmap and ongoing development will make FootyCash far better for Fantasy Sports than the other more popular coins such as Bitcoin, etc.

FootyCash will have features that are specifically designed for Fantasy Sports and gambling as a whole.

One example is an Anonymous Send feature.  Bitcoin does not have Masternodes nor an Anonymous Send feature but FootyCash is currently developing these features.

The legality of Fantasy Sports in every country is not clear, most being ambiguous at best. Even though most U.S states are legalizing Fantasy Sports gambling there are some people who would feel more comfortable with a coin designed to protect them in the area where the law may not be clear.

Both Draftkings and Fanduel also would want a coin that can cater to the Fantasy Sports industry as a whole, with features designed for Fantasy Sports - i.e fantasy sidechains, etc...

Bitcoin can't do that, but FootyCash can.

So let's assume Drafktings and/or Fanduel want to add support for cryptocurrencies deposits & withdrawals. Why wouldn't they choose one of the more popular cryptocurrencies such as bitcoin and instead opt for relatively obscure Footy Cash? Keep in mind, that most of their customer base don't know much about crytospace.

And the same holds true, if Drafktings, etc... wants to add support for tournaments denominated in cryptocurrencies.

Very good question.

FootyCash's ongoing development will make FootyCash better than the other more popular coins such as Bitcoin, etc. because FootyCash will have features that are designed for Fantasy Sports gambling such as anonymous sending etc...
