I was wondering for how long will you hold bitcoin.

Will you sell when 1BTC= $50000, when 1BTC=$400K...
Or will you hodl forever?

If bitcoin reach 13000$ by next year 2018 the 20% I will sell the 20% of my bitcoin holdings then the remaining  of my coins will be hold in a long term again. Smiley

I think that each of us have to analyse the situation and decide. For example if you are a poor person, in debt, with very little money to live by, holding forever would be a suicide. You don't need to save up when you're sick or starving.
For me with my current number of coins nothing below $10k would be satisfactory. Even that $10k would seem like a low price to sell. That's because I have a place to live and some savings, so I can wait. If Bitcoin goes down to like $3k I'll still be in a great shape. For me it's an investment that I'll be spending when I'm much older and bored.

It's very difficult question.
I already made a few mistakes and withdraw my btc funds last and this year.
If I waited, I could get much more.
So, I will wait now and be patient.

Holding bitcoins is basically against the purpose of bitcoin, which is to be used as a currency not an asset. The price is already very high, it wont last forever. The moment people really start to use cryptocurrencies as real currencies bitcoin will die, its technology is outdated compared to many other coins, fees are huge, it's just not feasible to use it as a currency. It's an illusion, it's only this high because people love to speculate with it, it's a brand, a name, everyone knows about bitcoin and that's what drives the price so high but eventually when people start to use it they will realize very quickly that it's not so good, specially when you are buying a 2$ coffee with a 6$ fee.

I think as long as I don't need money, I will keep holding all my bitcoin. Bitcoin is really profitable and it is a good long term investment. I only convert the amount of bitcoin I need whenever I ran out of money. I have a full time job that is why I just withdraw money when I need some money to buy something important or I need emergency money.

Lol. I don't think anyone has a plan on holding forever. Of course you're holding for a reason and that's to make profit. So one way or another, you're going to let go of your holdings. For me, i don't think i can wait for btc to reach 6digits. Probably beyond 50k would already be a big accomplishment for me.

If I can get some of it, I would save the half of it for several years definitely. and save the other half until 1btc makes $20000. unfortunately, I have no btc at all Smiley

I will hold to the end, not yet what will live. Gradually, gradually selling. But the main part is not selling. I will inherit the children.

Hodl until at least 6 figures. The idea of selling off a little at milestones above this to hedge and consolidate is an appealing strategy.

Sell a little at a time as price moves up.

As long as its price goes up everyday I continue to hold the bitcoin .

Sure if we knew that it’d be easy but who knows what will happen. It’s nice to diversify a little.

Sell a little at a time as price moves up.

Pretty much some strategy like this. Not going to sell all at bitcoin any price but rather get out slowly and probably retain some value in BTC long term. First mini cash out point for me was going to be bitcoin 10k but now it

came quick I am re considering to wait until bitcoin 20-25k.
