I also agree with you. It is not a new thing that the price of Bitcoin will increase and decrease again. It is nothing but foolish to think that any other currency can take the place of Bitcoin if the price of Bitcoin decreases. So I think Bitcoin has never changed!
That is we called volatility, all crypto have that kind of market features and it never changes the looks of Bitcoin. But this is not the only thing to say that Bitcoin had never changed but OP is pointing out how the hardfork affects the marker position for Bitcoin. Eventually, there is nothing and that hardfork even tells that Bitcoin remains to be the king among crypto. And that also tells that Bitcoin is a unique coin created, nothing could ever be compared to.

They won't end the story. It's basically how some games have sequels and all of that but the original still remains the best for the hearts of most people mostly because those sequels were forced. Forced in the sense that they wanted a sequel to milk money from the community, same with these forks. Sure, some may acknowledge it's use and may actually be better than BTC one way or another, but in the end, it doesn't have the same concept as BTC is in terms of its future development.  Sides, the community has acknowledged BTC and both of its faults and feats. Even if something comes which is a bit better than BTC in one aspect, as long as it doesn't exceed it in overall terms, then I doubt BTC would become overthroned.

Any fork that will surpass Bitcoin?
When viewed in terms of transaction speed and costs there may be but not in terms of price. Although bitcoin forks can provide convenience for users such as low transaction costs, faster and more efficient transaction times, but I am sure Bitcoin will always be the number one digital currency in the context of usage, price and market capitalization.

I totally agree. I usually use doge as a way to transact from exchange to exchange because of low fee. Bitcoin is like the face of cryptocurrency. The king and the absolute ruler because no one controls it, no one can control it. Also, Bitcoin is more secure to attacks than other altcoins and more secure than those fake forks.

In addition, those fork bitcoin are not as secure as Bitcoin network itself. BTG for example experienced an attack not just once but twice already.

(1) Bitcoin Gold Hacked for $18 Million

(2) Bitcoin Gold Blockchain Hit by 51% Attack Leading to $70K Double Spend

Then BCH (Bitcoin Cash)

(1) Two Miners Purportedly Execute 51% Attack on Bitcoin Cash Blockchain

So why risk using those fork coin?

No forks or even altcoins will surpass bitcoin, people are not seeing bitcoin anymore as a payment system but as an investment, so that is a good thing as bitcoin will remain in the top and will be a good pair for any altcoins when trading. We don't need forks, we need a 3rd party to bridge bitcoin to be a better payment system like a lightning network.

For me, nothing has changed, what do you think? Any fork that will surpass Bitcoin?[/b]
There will be none. A few of them tried hard but they never won. I guess that they were already done and nothing can ever surpass bitcoin. Bitcoin will be bitcoin and the forks will never be bitcoin as they are all categorized as altcoins.
Other anticipated upgrades

Interesting, where do we find updates from these upgrades?

All other forks are just to generate funds unnecessarily as all the promises to do better than Bitcoin remain futile. To me is just to gain attention and remain relevant for an already established name

Of course, people will never consider these coins as a thing to compete with Bitcoin. They are still no way to go beyond Bitcoin and even there are so many hard forks coming, it won't affect Bitcoin's demand and market supply. Instead, these coins are still relying on Bitcoin and they are just like altcoins who are following Bitcoin where it goes. But also wondering why these altcoins have an impressive market volume also and we can't deny that they are still performing good.

There is more than 70 Bitcoin hard forks trying to be the new bitcoin.
For me, nothing has changed, what do you think? Any fork that will surpass Bitcoin?
I stopped following all the forks a long time back and majority of the forks will die out eventually. My view of BTCitcoin will never change but literally there is a ton of changes in BTCitcoin just in case you are not aware of  Tongue.

The fork coins have very less transaction volume when compared to BTCitcoin and hence the low transaction cost and efficient transaction time, it is too early to predict anything and we have a long way to make this a global currency.

And then what? Everything has its client (there is demand, there is supply). So I guess there is nothing wrong with people who prefer to use Bitcoin fork or any other altcoin, it's their choice.
On another hand that number, 70 bitcoin fork is very good. That number proves again that bitcoin stands over them and they are trying to become bitcoin. Bitcoin doesn't try to become BCH or any other fork/coin but people behind these projects are those who claim to be real bitcoin and etc.

If people are trying to bring you down, it only means that you are above them! And same here on bitcoin too.

Bitcoin has never changed, all the coins that have been created after it using its name and modifying it just a little. It is because its developers have been looking for their own benefit and have not found it getting in the way. The clearest answer is the volume that Bitcoin has and the preference of the users placing it first.

In my opinion, any fork of bitcoin will not be able to surpass its founder in any way. Yes, they can be somewhat faster, to some extent more effective, but in General it's all nonsense.
For more clarification, those forks where carried out for the purpose of the greedy ones. They used this means to extort good investors and potential ones from investing into the real bitcoin. No fork coin can run faster than it original coin, like in the case of bsv and bch to btc. Bitcoin is the original and nothing else, they have tried to paint the original bitcoin  fake, meanwhile, those coins forked are the scam types.

You can see all other forks from: https://mapofcoins.com/

Acting with the idea of leaving Bitcoin, numerous opportunists have uncovered hundreds of Bitcoin forks. Only 4 forks are mentioned on this map, but more are available in the link above.

If it is really necessary, I have no objection to fork making. But most of the forks called Bitcoin were very unnecessary. Already, when you examine the information in the link, you can see that many coins that come out with fork turn into garbage.
They are destined to end up on being a trash even to those coins who are included in the image doesnt really give out that much impact nor support. Its just quite surprising that there are still fools who do really engage into these coins but im sure that they do just jumped in just for the sake of profit making rather than supporting the project itself.Nothing can beat Bitcoin itself no matter how many times they would fork it out, it will really just still the same on where a big community still backing it.We cant really stop people to have that forked btc just hoping for them to get some marketshare but to think up globally it doesnt really give out any relevance at all.

what do you think? Any fork that will surpass Bitcoin?
As you said, there have been more than 70 forks and none of the forked coins succeeded to surpass Bitcoin and I doubt any of them will ever do.
All those coins were created for the sole purpose to make money by fooling people and trying to convince them that they are better than the original Bitcoin. They didn't make any major improvement though.

I think so, these coins are just a product of forks after forks and I don't think they are here to replace the bitcoin on top of the market coz it is the people who will decide who will be on the topmost since it is running decentralized. If someone thinks that a bitcoin fork, let's say bitcoin SV that is also a fork of bitcoin would take the bitcoin's place that is a fool, it is not some kind of monarchy. What will only change to bitcoin is the price.
