Some of the sites already accepts bitcoin as a mode of payment. Some of the major VPN services accepts bitcoin for their subscription and with time more companies will be coming up with more offers .

I pay for my hosting service on a monthly basis in bitcoins.

If I have a choice between a monthly service in bitcoins or fiat, I would choose the bitcoin option. Then I can cancel any time without the hassle.

Yes it is a payment system that is especially suitable for places that provide services such as hosting companies. If we think of doing all the operations online nowadays, the payment system with bitcoin is suitable for many places.

It can be a very affordable payment system even for monthly, yearly or even weekly subscriptions.

This can really be possible if we just improve our mining process. IMO as of know it really needs a lot of improvement. Or if ever that this is not yet possible then I am pretty sure that there were other alternative ways to improve transactions.

For monthly subscriptions, bitcoin may be more appropriate? yes it is, especially in online subscription, you dont need to go out for some payment or something that are related for transactions. Bitcoin is easy and convenient to use since you can pay your monthly transactions staying in your house, after for how many seconds or minutes your transaction was done successfully, no time wasted, no hassle Smiley

That is actually a very great idea, the confirmation time is always the barrier to become a global payment, but if it is for monthly subcription it will be suitable, but the question is, the price is very volatile, will the owner or the user agree to used bitcoin because the price keep changing

Yes the price of bitcoin is changing very fast. But it is not difficult to solve this problem. That is, certain arrangements can be made for payment transactions.
For example, the dollar amount to be paid is converted to btc. Then the person pays the monthly bill as btc.
The firm converts the BTC to the dollar. If this is done, the losses are reduced to a minimum.

Yes monthly subscription
of bitcoin can be more
appropriate because people
who will pay using bitcoin
will no longer wait for the confirmation
of the transaction.
Not true when I subscribed to one of my favorite streamers in twitch I used bitcoin to pay but I didn't know if I put enough fee at that time because I didn't look up at the mempool if it was busy or not and placed like a small fee of 20k sat and had to wait for a confirmation before bitpay processed my subscription with twitch.

Bitcoin subscription processes can be used where required. Invoice payments, club memberships etc. Bitcoin in place can be used efficiently.
In such places, there is no need to wait for payment to be approved immediately. This will not be a problem until the payment is approved.

This is a brilliant idea because the turn Bitcoin transactions are taking are creating division between the rich and the poor and that trend can make Bitcoin unpopular so we need to have a way to bridge the gap and I think if we have a monthly subscription where we don't have to wait for confirmations it will be super appropriate.

Could work. Same with electric and water bills that needs payment. I think they will give you 15 days before you could clean up your bills. That is a lot of time for the transaction to be made. You will be in advance payment without hassle in going to long lines in their buildings or wait for your number to be called. Those that are charging their fees weekly or monthly could use this kind of service.

I would disagree because if the user make his wallet blank and leave bitcoin or if his country suddenly ban bitcoin the he would not be able to pay his bill for subscription. and at any time he could empty his wallet and run away. and then you couldn't complain to anyone about the situation because no court will be accepting those case related to bitcoin.

One issue I foresee is merchants and services still tying down the value of bitcoin to fiat. Subscription fees imply a flat rate or similar rate. Most merchants I see  have a fluctuating bitcoin price pegged to the fiat value. But since most people still need to buy bitcoin to pay for things, this can't be helped.

I like how many services in this forum have a fixed btc rate. That's the real way.

I was also thinking about this. People really can't help thinking of bitcoin in terms of its fiat value. I guess it matters for people who receive their income in bits and have to convert that to fiat to buy essentials. If they're subbed to a service that's paid in fixed btc and then the btc rate spikes they'll think of things that they could have bought with those btc. Me, personally I'd prefer the fluctuating price since I live in a country where the btc price is really high (1btc currently worth around 50k, minimum monthly wage is around 12k).

I definitely disagree when It comes to monthly subscriptions on whatever service it is , whether Its music , movies or anything else. Those who apply for memberships usually want to renew them and the thing with bitcoin is that Its impossible to do so without manually sending the funds each month over and over again.

There are solutions for recurring payments monthly and it doesn't give any problem. But the thing, i admit, is you need to use a third party.
Couldn't do it with a client wallet. Always need someone, but in future who know if the invent something, i don't know since i am not a tech guy, but somthing like making a "call" to the wallet, or something similat to APIs

Yes, bitcoin is really appropriate for monthly subscriptions. It is definitely more convenient other than any currencies. It can eliminate the hassle of being in the long line for payment and the time we will allot in waiting if the payment will be successful or not because in bitcoin, we only need the hash number of every transactions for assurance.

Of course for this type of transactions like as the subscriptions at any time  bitcoin is the best payment system. I usually pay my subscription to the file hoster; not every month because I prefer the gigabytes plan but from time to time. One year ago I used paypal but if you use the bitcoin once then you forget the other ways of payment. Really, is not only very fast but when the price of bitcoin has already increased like it is now you can see the difference in converting from fiat because you spend less bitcoin than usual.

Hackers please hack me .... if you can :)
It's not a problem seller acceptance. The one I use mostly is Steam where I buy games and DLC and I only pay through bitcoin there. Transactions are immediate and hassle free as long as it's sent from my wallet the Steam wallet is updated directly.
This was for the good me.

For the bad me, gambling and porn for them surely bitcoin is the most appropriate way of payment as it conserves  your privacy better than conventional payment systems like Paypal , Credit Card etc.

We should not limit Bitcoin's use, because it cannot perform immediate/instant transactions. We should make it suitable for ALL types

of transactions. You experience a hurdle and you adapt and change to improve it, until it can perform those actions. If Bitcoin wants to

be a currency, then it has to do everything that a currency can do.  Wink

Yeah. Bitcoin is already doing everything that other currencies can do. But the only missing point is the approval process.
A minimum of 10 minutes is required. It is not possible to get approved in less than 10 minutes. Everything is perfect except for this confirmation period.

clubs would like to transact to banks because they are mainstream and mostly their people on their circle dont know about bitcoin because if someone would suggest that they try to take payment by bitcoin then they will try to expand their subscription to people who would like to use bitcoin as a payment but until no one would suggest they will not do any action into it.
