You drop pennies and nickels on the ground and then wonder why the great unwashed of the world traipse after you begging for more of the same?

If you threw nickels and dimes you might get a better class of beggar, but you'll won't attract the kind of street walker you are looking for.

Faucets have had their day a long time ago.

I tried faucets just before I realized how much time I was wasting (hours) and how much I was getting (like 30 satoshi??!?).  I was better off going to work at a job paying minimum wage.  I was new to btc so I thought I could get a few free ones to get myself up in the game.  Not worth it.  Do a signature campaign or use our lemonade stand money.

Faucets are just a waste of time and doesnt even worth for your time and effort but those faucets give me  experiences in the past when i was only a newbie. After im done with faucets and i just realize that they are just a waste of time and i decide to join signature campaigns instead.

As you say, it's worthwhile or not faucet depends on the people who play. For most people who are new to bitcoin faucet is a good thing to learn as you would when newbie. But once you're past the newbie stage you will realize faucet worthless when compared signature campaign. So I guess it all depends on the person. Thanks

you are right, all those who already have a large income, they would say faucet is not worth, at first I thought a lot of people who play the faucet when newbie, including me. I think the faucet is worth for a newbie. but it may not be worth it for people who have long used bitcoin. with over time newbie will get better and leave the faucet, so let them use the faucet to get his first bitcoin.

Agree with the part about faucets. They will make you work from dawn till dusk for weeks, before you make your first $10, so not worth bothering with.
Youre absolutely right you will need years before you can collect 1 btc in faucets. Even if you are claiming per hour or per 10 minutes still not enough,

Faucets are good for beginners with Bitcoin's world, however as OP noticed if you got other profitable ways to make bitcoins fast so don't waste your time with faucets because earning from there is very low

At first I thought faucets are the only way to earn with bitcoin but thanks to these kinds of thread it is really helping us a lot for knowing more about bitcoin.
I hope to earn better in the future with bitcoin and going to make it a real career.

Yes Bro I also Agree With You About the Faucets Part Because When I Was a Newbie I Start to work On Faucets But I Don't Earn Much Amount Of Money and It Is Not My Time Worth.....

If you don't have any other option to earn bitcoins then faucets is good to start at initial stage, and once you come to know other ways you can always switch to them to earn higher.

I mean, maybe just to acquaint yourself with the basics of how Bitcoin works, but once you're done with that - there is no point in dealing with them any longer. If you're looking for actual profit, the time you can spend on faucets is actually much better spent on searching for more profitable ways of earning.

That's a good helpful thread for newbies, and i add another advice that they involve into asking loans or selling goods and services especially without escrow or collateral.

I have made money with faucets, albeit not a terribly huge amount, in total, I think to date I have only made about .02BTC off of faucets, but that took several weeks upon weeks to reach in reality. While they are just dust, collecting dust every once in a while does actually add up over time, hence while tables in abandoned buildings have inches of dust on them..  Cheesy ..Realistically though, the amount of time that you would spend hunting down the 20 anti-bot links in a page (I hate those, especially when they are hidden between ads that are extremely close together), or waiting on captchas to load to decipher and type them, you could be doing some many other things to be making more consistent money. I, for example, joined mTurk (Amazon's paid microtasks site) several months ago and make money so much more quickly doing stuff like surveys and data-entry, granted its still not a lot of money as the tasks range from $0.01 to $0.20 per task on average usually.. Sometimes, there will be some worth more, but its money, and you are working for it..  Undecided

The head chef at my school says that there is no such thing as the free truck, that even though it has the illusion of being free, someone is paying for it somewhere, in the example of BTC it's whether through paying for electricity to run the mining platforms, or the costs of the internet to connect to somewhere to get "free" btc, someone is paying for that "free" money..

Better to spend time with this forum posting and learning about bitcoins to the depth. This would really bring more familiarity with bitcoins and its topics posted here in this forum. This would certainly help posts.

Well, faucets could be profitable, but only for people that are in countries like India etc, If you live in europe you're probably paying more cost on elektricity then you'll get by doing faucets.

Yes, it's priceless faucet results based on each individual and not everyone is the same. And every person is different because they have different backgrounds and life as you mentioned. So in my opinion do not underestimate income faucet, because for people who do not have the skill it is a good thing than not getting anything. Thank you

I will definitely like to trade but in small amounts.

The transaction fees at popular exchanges puts me off

Bittfinex: ~15%
Polniex:~25%
Kraken:~20%

How do you then make profit when you are only trading small amounts?
What are you talking about? I checked Poloniex's site out of curiosity and their fees table is nothing like you presented.
It is 0.15% Maker and 0.25% Taker fee when your are trading with less than 600 BTC. I didn't see 25% transaction fee anywhere.

There's something that may throw a newbie in an illusion that they can get a hold of a lot of btc in a short time, well you can't. You need to work just as for the real money. You can get payed a few cent's for signature promotion or offer your skills (if you've got some that are in demand here) to earn a lot more.

Also, don't be fooled by the faucets and such websites, they all may give out something per hour, day or minutes but that is so low that it wil ltake a lot more time to get something than to rank up a little and join a signature campaign. Don't be fooled by that.
If you plan on investin your btc in sopme cloud mining or some other website, your best choise is to ask here for the opinions, because someone may have already been scammed or actually profited so they can guide you with that.

At the end of it, keep your wallet safe, don't rush with the faucets and offers they give, consult here for possible scams and keep on spreading the good word of BTC. Good luck!

If the transaction fees eat you more than 15%, your trading amounts are really very small.

You probably should only withdraw after you do multiple trades and accumulate enough BTC.
