It was the Bitcointalk forum that inspired us to create Bitcointalksearch.org - Bitcointalk is an excellent site that should be the default page for anybody dealing in cryptocurrency, since it is a virtual gold-mine of data. However, our experience and user feedback led us create our site; Bitcointalk's search is slow, and difficult to get the results you need, because you need to log in first to find anything useful - furthermore, there are rate limiters for their search functionality.
The aim of our project is to create a faster website that yields more results and faster without having to create an account and eliminate the need to log in - your personal data, therefore, will never be in jeopardy since we are not asking for any of your data and you don't need to provide them to use our site with all of its capabilities.
We created this website with the sole purpose of users being able to search quickly and efficiently in the field of cryptocurrency so they will have access to the latest and most accurate information and thereby assisting the crypto-community at large.

It seems that about a third of people are able to connect to
bitcointalk.org just fine, and the rest are not. I believe that
this is due to a DDoS attack which for some reason only ends up
denying service to certain ISPs. Most of the people affected seem
to be in Europe, though I also have one report from someone in the
US.
I have some ideas of my own for mitigating this, but if you have
any ideas/advice, email me at [theymos [at] mm [dot] st].
If you can't connect, try putting `IP bitcointalk.org` in your
hosts file, replacing IP with one of these:
52.55.72.170
34.203.182.172
34.206.81.205
34.198.191.99
34.204.121.174
52.203.157.197
34.200.166.199
34.202.40.180
IMPORTANT: It is very likely that some or all of those IPs will not
be operational in a few weeks, so you should remember to REMOVE
this entry from your hosts file as soon as you can, and certainly
if bitcointalk.org stops working for you after a while.
