@Lauda,

Fact is you are a proven liar and extortionist, you should be in jail ,

much less running your mouth trying to slander others.   Kiss

Last scam you pulled was keeping airdrop coins , ie: scamming people that actually trusted you with escrow.

Post should be deleted if it breaks any rule. I do not think admin or moderator is deleting/will delete any post if you say something negative. There are a 1000s posts where people said provided negative opinion.

Terminated.
Both btc-room101, and Zin-Zang are alts of other already banned (and/or neg. rated) trolls. The irony here is that the forum is actually way too liberal, not the other way around. I wonder what hilarious and mprep are waiting for with this case.

The fact is that his trolling would have resulted in a ban a long time ago on many other forums - the fact he is still allowed to post the same nonsense 20 times a day about how we are all retards, bitcoin is dead, and the Chinese own everything is testament to the non-censorship policies and moderation in bitcointalk.
They probably wouldn't reach a post count of 10 elsewhere given the ridiculous amount of lies that they're posting.

I feel like I should chip in here since I reported several of btc-room101's posts yesterday, which were all marked as good. As pointed out, several were for multi-posting, and a couple were for whole threads in the wrong section - one was a thread speculating on the price by Christmas posted in Bitcoin Discussion, for example. I have never reported a post simply for disagreeing with it, and I have never seen a person who complains about being censored on these forums having an actual case - they are always breaking a forum rule.

The fact that he regularly churns out 5 new topics and 20 new posts in the space of an hour, all with the same jumbled, barely comprehensible word salad, peppered with calling everyone else on the forum a moron and batshit insane, and that 98% of his posts aren't deleted, is proof enough that he isn't being censored for his opinions, but only when he breaks other forum rules.

Regardless, if you are really having so much trouble following the few rules we do have, and think that that somehow equates to being censored, you are more than welcome to go and start your own forum.

Conspiracy Theory is the worst enemy to man kind.

Bullshit.
We need all of even the craziest theories to keep the mainstream in check. If those in power could just label anything they want a "conspiracy theory" then they could silence any dissenting opinion they wanted.

Limitation of speech is the worst enemy of mankind.

I would have battled alongside this OP if he had a case..

Bitcointalk is not not a government entity and can control the content anyway that it sees fit. If I submitted a "letter to the editor," to a newspaper and they failed to publish it, are they infringing on my free speech? If I submitted a book to a publisher and got a rejection letter, would my free speech rights be infringed? I don't think so.

Hitler felt the same way.

That is a slippery slope you're on.

"Freedom of the press" also involves the right of the press to refuse to publish anything. Otherwise, the government can insist that they publish propaganda, or else...

Ewww you are defending censorship, gross...

Yes Theymos can censor anything he wants because this is his private property and by US law he can do about anything he wants on his private property (except all of the freedoms the US gov takes away from you even on your private property). Just because it is legal doesn't mean it's right and certainly doesn't mean it is parallel with Satoshi's Bitcoin.

"It's fine that the forum is censoring anything negative about Bitcoin, it's their right" - Really?

I think Theymos strives to set a better example for freedom than just what the US law provides.
The US law is one of the best currently enforced, sure, but it is still a far cry from ideal (depending on who you ask).

Would your really be alright with moderators censoring any and all negative facts and opinions about Bitcoin?
I'd be gone..
But it doesn't, so I'm here, and OP is just full of shit / trolling..

Deleting it would be proof, so they just hid it in meta,
ie: plausible deniability
Trolling  Roll Eyes

Anyway, I was more responding to the comment "Conspiracy Theory is the worst enemy to man kind." in general than to the OP.

How is it trolling , when I have personally witness the mods delete entire topics to censor what they don't want known.
*Their is a difference between moderation when rules are broken and pure censorship to hide information , when no rules were broken.*
*The mods that delete/lock entire topics merely to make sure their false propaganda is never challenged. *
*Sad those mods don't know the difference. *

1 second , you claim btctalk has no obligation to free speech, only censored speech their mods approve of,
the next second, you claim they can refuse because of the rights of the press.

You can't have it both ways.

Are they a free venue to share ideas?
or
Are they a censored source of information?

FYI:
They can't be both.

AFAIK (for what it's worth) none of the mods have engaged in systematic censorship of content based on a poltical agenda or the desire to shape the perception of an event / entity /concept / etc. in a certain way. We do routinely moderate stuff that hinders other people's ability to follow and / or participate in a discussion though - see the rule thread (stickied in Meta).

As for whether it's free, there is no on/off switch when it comes to platform moderation censorship - otherwise 99% of platforms used for discussion would fall under the "censored" category. If I had to place Bitcointalk on the scale, it'd definitely lean more towards the "free" side, probably more so than quite a few other forums.

And as with all of these "sovereign citizen"-like meme beliefs, a relevant xkcd is in order:

(source https://xkcd.com/1357/)

P.S. I am not implying that the expectation of Bitcointalk being a platform open for all kinds of discussion is a ridiculous idea (on the contrary, it's size and direct association with Bitcoin sort of obligates it to hold itself at a higher standard of freedom of discussion). I'm merely highlighting the fact that expecting the forum to not have any moderation is naive, if not moronic.

P.P.S. As for the Hitler comment, see https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Godwin%27s_law

True story. They can be seen here celebrating the successes of Howeycoins.

For OP.

It's not that hard to figure out and follow the rules or you will be moderated accordingly. This forum is extremely lax in rules, and enforcement for most of them. You can see that in the response from theymos where you haven't been issued a ban but have been given a warning and an explanation.

Sounds like multiposting is your issue, if you realize you have more you want to say just learn to use the edit button, it's super easy.

Next thing that you will be spouting will be that the "ignore" feature is a gross infringement of people's freedom of speech.  Roll Eyes  People can blather on all they want. It does not entail an obligation on my part to read or listen. Want to post here? Please follow the rules or your content will be deleted and depending on the gravity of your offense, you will be banned from posting here.

ignore feature is a personal choice.

I noticed you refused to choose from the above choices, probably because the truth bothers you on some personal level.

LOL , everybody read Meta because its about the Forum !

Looks like you have no idea about the forum itself !   Huh

Sorry bud, but meta has only ~366 pages of posts.
the Discussion forum has over ~1236 page of posts.

Everyone reads the discussion forum, very few users actually waste time reading meta, it is just too boring.
Which is why it is a good place to bury / hide a topic if you want to keep the general reader from seeing it.
