I believe you may have to be worried about it. Most because if you want to participate in bounties with campaigns, and your friend also,  campaign managers might think you are using multiple accounts and maybe blacklist you.

Yes, but in case you are two both are going to join campaign, don't apply in one at the same time. If I'm you asked this question because of your concerns getting problems about joining campaign with the same ip but in case you have no plans to that then its fine.

Hello,

I am registered in this forum since few months and I talked about it to a friend. This friend registered today but we live together so we will have the same IP.

Is it a problem ? Do we need to send a proof or something ?

Thanks for your answer, I hope I will not be banned.
its ok i also in that kind of situation

To be honest op, I really don't know. Because yes, having multiple accounts maybe allowed for now, but it really is frowned upon by almost everyone in this forum. Even I don't support it. Plus, with all these newbie accounts that are farming and spamming the threads because of alts campaigns that aren't that strict with their rules? I think it's only a matter of time till the heads of this forum take action and ban accounts having the same IP addresses. So better stay away from trouble as much as you can. Be careful and goodluck with your plans.

The OP was asking about multiple forum accounts.

He wasn't asking about joining signature campaigns.

Multiple forum accounts are allowed from the same IP.

I agree with Vod. The question was only related to multiple accounts on BTT not on using it to campaigns.

bounty manager don't like double account.
I heard the gossip that someone bounty manager could see the participant ip that joined his bounty, this is bad for static ip user on suspicion of cheating (participate in double account to get more reward).

Please don't confuse other readers. The post is only pertaining having accounts with same IP on BTT not joining signature campaigns with same IP.

Thank you everyone for your answers.

If one day he does a bounty I will tell him to write a PM to the team, to be sure that it's ok.

Multiple forum accounts are allowed from the same IP.
Of course he isn't asking about him looking to join whatever signature campaign ~ if that would be the case, the replies from the well known members to this thread would be far less friendly than they are right now.

At the end of the day, the majority of the people here know exactly what the main intention is to operate multiple accounts. But as you also pointed out, it's all fine within the current set of forum rules.

What i have grasp here since old time is that having multiple account here is safe but being enrolled in signature campaigns and then spamming the forum can lead both you and your friend in trouble.

You must warn your friend not to do something stupid like spam / scam / promote scam project, if your friend got caught doing that your IP will be given evil point. I don't know how far evil point will effect on another account in the same IP. Just be careful when using same IP

I guess if push comes to shove you have to prove with identity...

I can prove it, we both pay for our house so there are 2 names on the invoice. If moderators want proof there is no problem.

That's why it's best to stake an address in the Meta subforum (and this topic should be in Meta, too) to provide additional verification that you control an account by signing a message, though I don't know how would it work in your case. Forum alt accounts aren't an issue as long as you don't do anything nefarious with them. Also, sharing the same IP with a friend isn't an issue as well.

And if my friend doesn't do the same bounty as me is it ok ?
I watched rules of the forum and it says that multi accounts are allowed so we will not have problems with bitcointalk at least I suppose.

you need change your ip before join the bounty,if you don't want ban , manager see ip to do
although, your company have same ip .
if have 2 people join a bounty program , you will detect a cheater .
maybe system wrong but i think not good when we invite  your friend  join a bounty .
