I see some adult-related projects on bitcointalk before and even have a signature campaign I guess as long as no NSFW content seen on signatures I guess that way is okay. Adult content projects has high chance of booming on this industry because anonymity is what crypro at its best. I doubt theymos would even allow such ads, the forum rules negates that.
They have an opportunity to market here but I'm just curious why I haven't seen them running a signature campaign here.
This thread https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/community-opinion-signature-campaigns-5125345 was from Hhampuz but this does not push through for whatever reason.
Personally, I have no problem win promoting an adult site as long as it does not violate any rules of the forum.
Some campaigns run in the past, not too many, includes this one: Eroiy.io
Personally, I don't have issues with them, but as someone noted, what if those porn sites contain threats, that will compromise and steal your bitcoin, or altcoins? I don't think the forum can and should manage those hidden threats from third-party porn-sites. It takes time and not the things forum should spend money and resources to deal with.

There are some good points from @Baronets and @Hhampuz, and others.
I hope that Bitcoin Talk will continue to be suitable for viewing over public WiFi in restaurants.
....
lets keep Bitcoin Talk clean as Bitcoin esdtablishes itself even further in the future.
some people, for religious or other reasons, won't want to take part in the Campaign or perhaps not even display the Signatures and I can respect that. Just as with Gambling there will always be people that could feel that it is wrong but at this forum I think people are more understanding than in other ones.
The forum does not stop to promote adult content, the only requirement was the title must have "NSFW" marked and the following rules.
I have no problems with it, but you may want to consider following theymos' rule from Advertise on this forum - Round 272:
Ads may not link directly to any NSFW page
It's nice to get a NSFW-warning after accidentally clicking a link.
With both gambling and porn, there is an argument that both are harmful and unethical in various ways. I don't subscribe to the logic in making these arguments, however I do not find these arguments to be outright frivolous.

In addition to the suggestions of many above to make sure the signatures are not explicit, and to consider not linking directly to explicit material, I would suggest doing due diligence on the site itself. I would want to have confidence the site is not going to be spreading malware when visitors visit the site, nor when visitors try to download content, and does not have an excess amount of advertisements.

I do find it somewhat strange that a porn site would want to advertise here. I would not find bitcointalk the most effective venue to advertise on for this kind of business.
I have no problem with pornsites and those sites' advertisements in the forum.
I have only several worry about them:
- Pornsites are one of the most dangerous in aspect of potential threats for visitors, virures, malwares, trojans, and other threats to visitors.
So, if you make sure that sites you aggreed to advertise for them are good pornsites, it is totally welcome. By saying 'good', I meant they are safe, without threats.
- And, if sites have options to pay with crypto, it is amazing for porn-lovers. They can easily to pay for their favorite videos with crypto.
It is one of good way to spread crypto around and help it invading more into real life.
So people's will aware before click the link that they are going to visit porno/18+ website  from signature.

Bitcoin = Financial freedom
Until now crypto related ads are not allowed in thos forum but projects related to adult industry were promoted here as well.

So promoting a porn website is not allowed here but when a project created for these kind of payments that is allowed to promote here without any adult content on the signature and links they were providing.

Leave no FUD unchallenged
If the ads are in plain text, contain no explicit material and don't link to anything unlawful, then there's seemingly no issue.  There's plenty of scope for such advertising, provided it is done responsibly.

It's a pretty funny world where companies use sexual imagery to sell just about anything, but here on the forum we'd have to use plain text when attempting to sell actual sex, but there we go, heh.

I find this past interesting discussion.
Community Opinion - Signature Campaigns
It is not first and probably not the last time that someone wants to advertise porn site or ICO for porn site here. Few examples:

NSFW https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/ann-5114156  warning adult content +18
NSFW https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/ann-amastar-earn-for-porn-official-thread-private-presale-live-now-5059925 alert adult content +18
NSFW https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/annwkc-wankcoin-shop-anonymously-accepted-at-over-100-hd-sites-625934  adult content +18
NSFW https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/bounty-adult-live-streaming-1mil-pool-reward-4723436 --> well, this scam bounty thread was edited and everything was removed from topic but as moderator didn't trash topic it is fine to advertise porn site here.

From my point of view, I don't see problem if someone promotes such site as long as it doesn't contain anything illegal. Just put NSFW/+18 or whatever you need to put in signature as a warning and forget about NSFW avatar.

Farewell, Leo. You will be missed!
My reply is a bit off-topic but the privacy altcoin Verge has a partnership with PornHub. I remember seeing videos of Asa Akira promoting Verge in NYC. I don't know how good it went. By looking at the value of Verge one could argue that it didn't go well at all.

Privacy coins and sex related services could become a thing in the future due to the anonymous nature of the transactions but I doubt we will ever see such ads on Bitcointalk.

Baronets is the Jet Cash domain management service
I hope that Bitcoin Talk will continue to be suitable for viewing over public WiFi in restaurants. Bitcon is a great product for digital nomads, and hopefully BT will continue to provide a forum for those of us who have decided to adopt this life style. Perhaps there could be an associated forum for this market segment, and I would be happy to provide a domain and hosting to run one if there is sufficient interest, but lets keep Bitcoin Talk clean as Bitcoin esdtablishes itself even further in the future.

This requirement for advertising probably applies to signatures too:
Ads may not link directly to any NSFW page.

I am just curious that sexual related things (signatures, ads) violate forum rules or not?

There's signature campaign before which is THE LEGENDS ROOM Signature Campaign but their signature does not contain sexy pictures, so that proves it's possible to run a campaign in the forum.

10. No embedded NSFW images anywhere. NSFW content must be marked accordingly.

31. User avatars must not contain NSFL or NSFW content, infringe on copyright or attempt to impersonate a user.[10]

So, probably no NSFW content in signatures/ads as they would just jump on everyone's screen without any warning. And that's not ok.

Today, I see this one on Cointelegraph.com

Sex & Crypto| Cointelegraph Documentary
Quote
Censorship resistant, pseudo-anonymous, untraceable. These are the main characteristics that make cryptocurrency an enticing payment method for purchasing adult content. Pornsites, webcam platforms and online sex shops often struggle with traditional payment systems because of the high-risk industry in which these businesses operate. By leveraging the power of blockchain, a number of crypto startups have been emerging and are aiming to revolutionize the way people purchase and consume adult content.
