Sorry for my lack of communication in this thread but it seems that there is an overwhelming consensus in this matter and I've gotten a few good ideas that will have to be implemented in case this campaign comes to flourishion. I'll lock the thread and take the following points with me from this discussion:

-NSFW tag in Signature.
-Landing page for link in Signature where you need to confirm you are entering a NSWF website.
-Research the website carefully before accepting anything to ensure there's nothing illegal going on.

I understand that some people, for religious or other reasons, won't want to take part in the Campaign or perhaps not even display the Signatures and I can respect that. Just as with Gambling there will always be people that could feel that it is wrong but at this forum I think people are more understanding than in other ones.

Anyways, thank you all for your input! As always it is much appreciated and I love hearing different opinions from you guys.

Until next time.

Honestly I found nothing bad here. promoting or working for a company haven't got any differences whether its for a porn site or anything else in my opinion. Just i will suggest you to strictly investigate their website legality and the adult warning declaration on their site.

Worlds most of the tobacco company run their advertisement and promotion with the warning " smoking is injurious to health'. so if they are able to run their business promotions then why wouldn't porn site owner will be able to do that including adult warning.

As long as the signature itself is SFW, and after clicking on it there is a SFW landing page to protect accidental clickers, I don't see the issue. Anyone with exceptionally strong objections due to religion, country of residence, etc, can simply turn off signatures.

I would say that this single precaution would get rid of 90% of any objections over this (if there are any). Maybe arrange with the soliciting site to create a landing page for this purpose.

As I remember I participated in one signature campaign which promoted porn site last year. I do not see anything pad in that in the case if there is no child porn there. I think the campaign is going to be the same popular as others. Good luck!

@Hhampuz, as long as they pay, why not? Porn campaign (paid in BTC) is much better/more beneficial than scam ICOs. I'm so tired of promoting scam without getting paid, in my early forum days.

And as long as it is 18+ straight porn, I'm with you bro! Grin

It is not first and probably not the last time that someone wants to advertise porn site or ICO for porn site here. Few examples:

NSFW https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/ann-5114156  warning adult content +18
NSFW https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/ann-amastar-earn-for-porn-official-thread-private-presale-live-now-5059925 alert adult content +18
NSFW https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/annwkc-wankcoin-shop-anonymously-accepted-at-over-100-hd-sites-625934  adult content +18
NSFW https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/bounty-adult-live-streaming-1mil-pool-reward-4723436 --> well, this scam bounty thread was edited and everything was removed from topic but as moderator didn't trash topic it is fine to advertise porn site here.

From my point of view, I don't see problem if someone promotes such site as long as it doesn't contain anything illegal. Just put NSFW/+18 or whatever you need to put in signature as a warning and forget about NSFW avatar.

I am just wondering that will signature come with NSFW warning? Just wondering somebody accidentally clicking the link in touchscreen mobile in office hours  Smiley
You imagined a very interesting accident with such porn campaigns.
However, the key is you should not use your devices for personal things relate to entertainment, crypto in office, especially in working time.
You might get fired, or lower marks in your work-sheet.  Roll Eyes

Will I do the signature campaign for it?
Probably not.

Will you find the member in forum for this ad ?
Probably yes, because recently Sexy Cam easily got the required participants.

As long as it isn't like some goat porn site or something I think you should be fine.

I'm really curious about this? I have only seen horse and a certain females. Though I'm not a fan off that, I have only seen that on ads Tongue

PH and XNXX are doing fine for me  so no need for extraS Cool

In addition to the suggestions of many above to make sure the signatures are not explicit, and to consider not linking directly to explicit material, I would suggest doing due diligence on the site itself.

Legal sites for porn were good and I am not against to it but we could not justify the audience here in the forum though majority here were actually to be known adults. So there is no problem with that. However, not all country are open to this for other country has been restricted in viewing it for they are sensitive into the likes of this events. Like other users said that it should be place in a certain section that is being regulated or a warning before words before entering the sextion.

And if ever it would be run here then please open up also for member users for I am willing to join if it is well compensated. Please do made an update in this thread about the offer to you if you will going to run it or not.

As most of you probably know by now, I like to listen to the community before I do anything definitive.

I've been approached about a pornsite who may want me to run a Signature Campaign here at Bitcointalk. Now there's nothing illegal with legit porn sites and as far as I know there's nothing against promoting such sites here either but I'd still like to hear what you guys think about it, would people apply? (With good payrates people don't seem to care what they advertise but still). If anything would come up that they've been doing some shennanigans later on, could I get in trouble for marketig it here? Should I consider it in any way immoral to promote pornographic content here?

Feel free to discuss, I'd prefer it to be on topic and without multiple posts about "Your campaign, your decision" etc. One post is enough and different opinions are always welcome.

Actually nowadays such market seems to be very common in many countries and I don't see anything wrong in doing such campaign. The problem is, not all country support it and having that here in bitcointalk might put us at risk especially if the government impose prevention knowing the fact some of them are against immorality.

I think that before watching porn sites, people should be informed that the porn is addictive and causes erectile dysfunction.
You can watch the video about the effect of porn on men. Subtitles are available in 23 languages:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wSF82AwSDiU

It's not a new thing that he/she should aware people before advertising it. People knows much about the porn and it's side effects.

Just a reminder of explicit/18+ content in the signature or before redirecting it to the original site would be enough.

I do find it somewhat strange that a porn site would want to advertise here. I would not find bitcointalk the most effective venue to advertise on for this kind of business.

I also find it odd, because this forum is not an appropriate platform to advertise such things. However may be they started to accept cryptos as payment, so they want crypto user's attention.

Depends what the money is saying. If it’s better pay than my current campaign & a trustworthy, legal & legit site then I’ll wear any kind of sig/avatar Wink

I’m such a slut Cheesy
Everyone is different here and everyone has their own point of view and limitations.
I will not promote any porno campaign even if it is paying BTC1 per post due to the religious point of view.

There might be some people who won't join due to religious or moral objections.
Pharmacist is 100% right in this case.

I think it's less offensive than gambling myself. Most people look at porn at some point. They're going to do it whatever. They may as well do it through here rather than anywhere else as long as it's all consenting stuff.

Porn's pretty much universal. Gambling isn't. By advertising it all you're doing is enticing someone to wiggle their willy around for a bit rather than drain junior's college fund and make everyone homeless in search of a win.

I think they're both depressing as fuck in the main but at least porn carries less risk for total ruin.

LOL (real life LOL). You bring up a good point. I think most people gamble at some point... even if its just a card game with friends or Bingo at the church or something. Porn can be addictive but the most ruining its probably going to do is a chair cushion or something.

I dunno, different people have different values... Some people might think one is OK but the other is satan. Not Mormons though, they hate both of those things. And caffeine.

Also, investing (what many people here do) is a lot more like gambling than porn, so the forum draws a lot of people with gambler-type mindsets.

Edit: Now that I think of it, these signature adds can't contain realistic pictures, right? Maybe this is nothing to be afraid of but to embrace.

It would be even more pixelated than Leisure Suit Larry.
