Don't let others control your BTC -> self custody
Same old, same old. It's always about that new coin that's going to flip bitcoin.
They tried everything ever since LTC was invented because if BTC is digital gold, LTC is digital silver Wink
Then if these two are fine, there's BCH because that's the real fast bitcoin with low tx cost and then ETH is the platform you can build other coins on and it's going to flip bitcoin and ADA is the better ETH because Hoskinson says so and XRP is the bridge between crypto and banks because Ripple foundation says so.
I say- F... shitcoins!

Notcoin is quite popular in my country, those who played the game on telegram and accumulated the coins were able to sell their coins when Notcoin went live. This sparked a lot of reactions especially from people who were not in the crypto space, now everyone is caught up in the frenzy, a lot of token games have emerged on telegram since then. And people join these games because they are afraid of missing out. I think this has been the order of things for a long time. People are drawn to freebies hence the popularity of airdrops and tokens. Often times, Bitcoin is the last resort for investors who have lost money investing in altcoins and Defi projects.

I read a topic recently and I think the OP summed it perfectly:

altcoins=>tokens=>airdrop>bitcoin

I think many people who invest in memecoins are just hoping to get rich quick.  But other folks actually have faith that these things could turn into real long-term investments.

To answer your questions - yeah, Im still bullish on Bitcoin in the long run.  Its got name recognition and there is only so many Bitcoins out there, so it feels like a solid way to preserve value. I dont own any altcoins myself, so no need to convert anything.  Some of the ideas backing the altcoins seem neat but Bitcoin feels more stable and thats more attractive to me.

I am not aware of what is happening now as I am too busy accumulating more Bitcoins. While, some of you are still trading altcoins or meme coins and I would like to ask from you guys that;

Do you still believe in Bitcoin and do you guys are still following the same pattern of converting some of your earned crypto to Bitcoin?
Yes, I still believe in the orange coin, I am grateful to Bitcoin for everything, it changed my life for the better. From time to time I buy some alts, but as soon as they appreciate significantly or as long as they are performing well, I will convert them into BTC.

As for memecoins, I haven't invested in any of them yet and I don't even know if I'm going to do that yet, and if I do, of course I'll invest around 1% of my capital.

Bitcoin is king and his reign will last for a long time.

Yes and yes.
There is no reason for me to start unbelieving with Bitcoin, in fact I guess that majority here have the biggest share of their stash for Bitcoin. And if you guys are also holding some altcoins, it is for sure that you're going to convert it to Bitcoin anyway. If not, you're only waiting for the right time to buy it. Basically, what people are doing is they are dumping their Bitcoins for these altcoins because they think that gains are higher there than of just plainly holding it.

The fact is I won't condemn meme coins and shit coins. I personally they are called shit coins and meme coins for a reason. Personally I think the crypto space in general is based on losses and profit and for certain persons to gain some others have to lose and that's just the fact.

There are a lot of people who gain a lot from airdrops as well as shit coins and meme coins so much that it is their full time job. I personally have come to understand that the reason a lot of persons fail in the crypto space is because of the wrong idea they have which is usually the idea that crypto is a get rich quick scheme.  And because of this they fail to study what they are about diving into before investing.

I still believe in Bitcoin, as it is one of the most tested and trusted crypto currencies that I know, but that does not mean that I won't invest in and take profit from Altcoin if I see any opportunity to do that.

To me, altcoins, especially memecoins, are treated as perishable investments, which means if one doesn't take his time, it will result in a loss of funds.

If you can conduct your research carefully and see any memecoin that will benefit you, then buy and sell immediately after you see profit. That's how I treat memecoins; they are not to be held for long before the person's investment will sink with it.

To an extent it seems a social gimmick to promote thier shit coin. Whereas for the people outside this forum this will mean big as in those who believe in meme coins.

They would literally inspire others who have the same believe that meme coins can make them rich even if they don't invest in Bitcoin. I believe secretly everyone who are investing in meme coins have a secret objective.

I remember my early days in the forum and every single member investing in the altcoin market had a single objective to convert all or a part of their gains to Bitcoin.

I am not aware of what is happening now as I am too busy accumulating more Bitcoins. While, some of you are still trading altcoins or meme coins and I would like to ask from you guys that;

Bitcoin will rise, no one has a doubt about that. Bitcoin is the dominant coin and altcoins only rise after Bitcoin's bull run but we have to be realistic, Bitcoin isn't going to grow 100x of its value or something similar. The market capitalization of Bitcoin is huge, the price of this coin is huge, and it's not going to rise from 60K to 600K, that's not gonna happen. It will probably rise a maximum of 3x-4x of its current price.
Altcoins are not a bad investment choice but memecoins, they are a hit or miss. Memecoins carry no value, absolutely zero but it's a well-known fact that people invest millions of dollars in it. If you are lucky and the memecoin that you bought will become mainstream, you'll earn a lot of profit. It's no different from the HI-LO game.

That is their work that uses this forum to advertise crypto projects that are never known to end up successfully or not.
For those who are outside the forum, I believe they also do their own research on what they know about the shitcoin which is shared with coins like Bitcoin.

Do you still believe in Bitcoin and do you guys are still following the same pattern of converting some of your earned crypto to Bitcoin?

Still very thick and not faded at all believes me to Bitcoin as the king of coins in the crypto room.

I don't have Altcoin. But I understand how the potential of Altcoin and Bitcoin in the long run and if I have a number of altcoin, then I will convert it to be bitcoin. The pattern of converting altcoin can be done for most people who have altcoin because bitcoin is much better in the long run than altcoin.

"Believing in Bitcoin" is somewhat at odds with its fundamental nature.  Belief implies a degree of faith, yet in here, faith is unnecessary because you can verify everything.  You don't believe in the laws of physics or mathematics; you can validate and prove them.  Fiat currency is what relies on faith, because you need to trust the government for responsibly managing it.

Stop using the phrase "believe in Bitcoin".

Honestly I doubt this. Once someone can profit easily from altcoins, how can they convert those profits into a slower growing asset (bitcoin)? Instead, they will continue to reinvest in meme projects or projects that they think will continue to bring them high returns. Surely many people will say that they will still follow that model, but I really don't believe it because no one doesn't like to make money quickly and restraining greed is not easy. If they could restrain their greed, they wouldn't have invested in altcoins and memes in the first place.

I also got some of these memes by mining free via telegram, but unfortunately I sold it as soon as it was listed on Binance. It's a bit unfortunate to see that its price is still increasing and shows no signs of stopping  Grin Grin Grin.

Bitcoin carry the lowest risk and are likely to outlast other cryptocurrencies in the market, others are risky. Before investing even a small amount in a meme coin, it is crucial to understand who is behind it. Take profits as the price rises, and resist the temptation to buy more during the pump to avoid falling into a bull trap.

I definitely still have faith in bitcoin.  I mean, why wouldn't I? It's the OG crypto that started this whole revolution.  Of course I convert some of my paychecks for more sats when I can too.  I ain't really about those memecoins though.  Seems like a waste to me and  the newbies probably think they missed the BTC train so they throw their money at the latest hot coin hoping to catch lightning in a bottle twice.  But you know whats funny? Folks said the same thing in 2021, 2017, and so on.  And they were dead wrong every time.

Hey OP, I appreciate your passion and dedication to accumulating more Bitcoin. To answer your question, yes, I still believe in Bitcoin and its long-term value. I see it as the cornerstone of the crypto market. While I do dabble in meme coins and altcoins, it's primarily for short-term gains and to diversify my portfolio. However, my end goal remains the same: to convert a significant portion of those gains into Bitcoin. I think it's wise to leverage the potential profits from altcoins and meme coins but always intend to strengthen one's Bitcoin holdings. So, yes, I’m part of the league that values Bitcoin above all and continuously works towards accumulating more Satoshis.

everyone in the forum believes in BTC but it's also true people believe memecoins can make them life-changing profits. the social media crowd is taking the memecoins seriously. and if those people who are 100x more compared to the population in this forum invest in memecoins that big names have shilled, it will make them rich.

i think we have seen it all when robinhood added SHIB. who knows which exchanges will add those memecoins. right now i think many of us have some memecoins actually.  Grin

Those things that circulate are probably the things that they want you to see and it's always going to be that way if you are trying to promote something like NOT. I realized that I had lost a chance to profit from it because I saw it a while back when it's not trending as it is, but of course, IF I had profited from it, it would be to buy more BTC.

I think as long as money is pouring into cryptocurrencies, it's a matter of time before they realize, that BTC is the important thing to consider.

I am not a fan of meme coins either and I personally think they are a waste of time and effort. We shouldn't be bothered investing in it.
If we are buying meme coins then we are just gambling it and hoping that our luck shines and the coin gives us good profits.
I guess almost everyone knows that meme coins are just for quick bucks and there is no other secret objective other than this.
Everyone wants to buy more bitcoins at the end.

I have and always will believe in the prospects and prowess of Bitcoin as a true cryptocurrency and the world's leading currency of the future.
 If not for due to the simplicity and use of it for transactions and payments across borders and platforms, it would be because an amassed volume or investment in it is sure to be profitable tomorrow because it has good store value currently and it is a good hedge against inflation.

If you are well informed and know the reputation of bitcoins, you will be happy to convert any earned crypto you get into bitcoins, which you are sure of its reputation. If you earn some free crypto and decide to leave it without converting to a more reputable coin, there is a high chance that the value will decrease. The people who make this mistake the most are the newbies to cryptocurrency and those who know about cryptocurrency but do not know enough.

In the past they used tricks like our cryptocurrency is a game changer, a Bitcoin killer, a Ethereum killer. With Notcoin, their team don't want to say their shitcoin will kill any cryptocurrency, just use valuation to mislead investors and gamblers.

What is value of shit Notcoin?
I can not find true value from that shitcoin but in a bull run, when new participants saw impressive growth of Bitcoin, Ethereum and some leading memecoins like Dogecoin, ShibaInu, PEPE, they will almost ignore all risks to purchase Notcoin. This advertisement will trigger their greediness and carelessness to more easily spend money.

Yes, I do. If I no longer believe in Bitcoin, I will leave this market rather than touching, investing in Notcoin or memecoin.
