But we must have to use custodial service for example if we want to use gambling site then we have to use custodial service. If we want to trade then we have to use custodial service. If we want to buy/sell except p2p then we have to use custodial service. That means we have almost no way to avoid custodial service. But we have to use reliable custodial service.
Of course custodial services are all over, but when there are noncustodial alternatives, then why not use them?

For example, since Localbitcoins decided to introduce mandatory KYC verification, I have never used it. I instead use localcryptos which is much better.

You are always warned against using custodial service

Thats the problem. Also once they just lock your account they don't even name a reason. That's just scam.

He has not logged in to the forum since 4th June 2022 and that really says it all. When people create accounts only to make scam allegations but cannot be bothered to even log back in to reply or to acknowledge those that replied in the thread, then it shows there is no point in any member looking in to the allegation.

Others have posted about scam allegations and stayed the full course until some sort of resolution was found but the OP decided otherwise.

LBC is scam. They arbitrary locking users account and steal all their bitcoins. For most people in this forum my $50,000 Dollar that got stolen by LBC is a ridiculous amount, but for me it was all my savings.
On Redid I read about a person who got stolen 10 BTC.
You got us all confused here! This story doesn't match the story on the video you linked on OP. You said you have $50k on your lbc account (which is not a small amount btw) but the guy on the video has only $800.
In fact, I don't think you are the one who created the video because the guy on the video sounds like a native speaker.
So, please, tell us what happened exactly in your case. Did you upload your own ID, why your documents were rejected, can you post screenshots from your conversation with lbc support? (usually support lets you know why your documents got rejected).

My account got locked without any reason after inactivity of half year, but they locked it got just locked before I want to sell my BTC.
There's always a reason. They just don't lock up an account out of nowhere.

Quote
I ask for reason, but they just say I violate the TOS. But I did not even use it.
When I asked to verify I upload the pictures, but then the ticked was not reply on time by LBC, or they ask to to everything all over again.
But then they repeatedly ask to verify again, with other pictures.
When the account is unlocked, after 1 day they locked again, and the problem is that if you contact the support again, they don't reply anymore.
You are always warned against using custodial service and instead OP for noncustodial P2P services that are readily available like localcryptos or bisq, but I guess you guys keep a blind eye.

The fraud company localbitcoins.com locked my account without naming a reason, support dont reply my messages.

Doing some research many other people get scammed.

Does somebody know any information about how runs this scam company and where are they residing?

I am using localbitcoin site for a long time and they have not banned me though I have seen a lot of user who have been banned. And almost all the the banned happened as they are scammer. They scam by various ways, as fraud email, outside contact and then scam, reverse paypal, skrill, netteler etc. For your case failing kyc it is very important to them too. If you go to bank and want to open a bank account with your id card then will they allow? If not then why localbitcoin will allow you to operate an account for such a way.

I watched the whole video where you kept saying you'll provide evidence to prove local bitcoins are scammers, but you didn't! Actually, what you presented proves you are at fault here.
The aim of taking a selfie holding your ID card is to confirm that the person using the account is really the account's owner, which you obviously failed to do.

Localbitcoins' ToS states clearly that you can't use someone else's account even if it's your wife:
You may not use the Services or create an account on behalf of someone other than yourself. You are not allowed to sell, borrow, share or otherwise make available your account or any detail necessary to access your account to ANYONE other than yourself.

I mostly avoid clicking links from users I am not familiar with therefore can only go by what others have written here.

I did not click the link but I read what was written about the video. They did not lock his account without reason, on the contrary they seem to have locked it with good reason.

Don’t click it because it contain porn video of there accused owner of localbitcoins. I thought the link contains his proof about his accusation yet he is trolling.

I’m using localbitcoins for P2P transaction before Binance P2P was introduced. So far I don’t encounter any problem and until now, I don't heard any complaint from my friend that using it for buyig and selling there Bitcoins P2P.

I watched the full video and in my opinion your wife account got blocked because of the KYC. She could have holded her ID and you could have captured the picture. If she is bed ridden due to pregnancy then again she could have holded the ID while you take the picture. If you donot do proper KYC you account gets blocked instantly. I do not hink anything can be done now as localbitcoin might have marked this account as scam account.

It's hard to read the support messages between your wife and their support team from the video you posted.

A few comments:

A ticket shouldn't be market as solved if the person who opened it didn't confirm that the issue was handled. But I have seen crypto exchanges do that as well. They reply to you and if you don't respond back in 24 hours, for example, they close the ticket and mark it as solved.

You can't be the person holding your wife's ID for the verification of HER account. She has to be the one holding it. They have to make sure that the person on the ID is the same person holding the card. It's only logical that the verification will fail if you do it. Her being pregnant isn't an issue or an excuse. She doesn't have to run a marathon, she needs to stand or sit holding her ID card close to her face. That's it.

I can't comment on the accusation that she has traded on Localbitcoins before. Maybe she had a different account. Is that her first Localbitcoins account? If she is accessing the account from her University and maybe a shared IP, other students could have used Localbitcoins in the past. They could have used the service to scam other users. That could have triggered red alarms in their system when they noticed matching or similar IPs.

This scammers (alimpiev, localbitcoins) deceived many people from Russia.
Some administrators have already found and created chats in telegram where the victims can communicate
Personal data are published there, and the addresses of some administrators

Unfortunately, these scammers use connections and big money so that the publication of materials against them does not fall into the search engines, and they also remove all the negative against themselves in telegram chats, on forums, and so on.

A site wont locked your account if there’s no irregularities and better yet keep trying to contact their support so you can get the answer and provide what they are asking for.

How much money we are talking about here since locking your account without a money is not a scam for me but more on a security concern for the site. Better to include the amount on OP so we can also know if this is true or just an allegation. I’m not fully aware about this site but if they blocked gambler without any reason, then that is alarming.

I watched the video from beginning to end, at first I thought you might have actually been a victim on the localbitcoins.com website. But by the end of the video, everything was clear that if localbitcoins.com had blocked your account, they might have verified it. Because in the middle of the video you said that your wife goes to university every day, on the other hand she can't take photos with her ID in her hand because she is pregnant! It's as if you've created confusion here. Your excuse doesn't seem to work.

I've never heard in my life a more silly excuse for failing a KYC check

So, allegedly you sent a picture of you holding your wife's id because she is "pregnant" and she can't hold her id in hand, but she could very well take the picture of you holding her id!

Are you out of your f&&^& mind?
Do you actually think any sane person on this planet would believe this crap?

I have not visited that website for years but I think everything you need to know about them including company registered address and legal jurisdiction would be found there.

As for the number of people they scammed... I have no idea but what can be said is that I do not recall any scam accusations against them before the one you made.
