I'm new to this forum and it's the first forum that I've ever joined. I learn from reading different topics and discussions.

During the pandemic, I encounter more hard times and my parents lost their jobs so I decided to find a job and help my family to pay bills.
 
I'm a fan of superhero comics and stories, I also watch anime and dramas and inspired by them, I also love the Harry Potter and MCU franchise.

I have a story in my mind for a long time. This year I want to start to write it down and make it the most inspiring and awesome book I'm capable to make and share it with the world.

It's quite hard for me because I'm in a different field than literature but I will do my best.

Regarding revamping of Romanian board, although I really tried hard, I can not say I was successful, but it was not my fault. I involved in all possible discussions there, but it seems that excepting a very few regular users (such as 20kevin20, NeuroticFish and, occasionally IonCreanga) and a bunch of newbies posting once or twice per year, nobody else is active in the Romanian board. If you really wanted to stay here and earn merits then better focus in your Account and don't go around with another .

Have to say that I identify myself a bit in this entry. I've been reading about BTC from perhaps 5 years now? Some 2-3 years ago I encountered this forum and registered in 2018. Since I use a VPN I ended up temporarily banned until the payment of a really small fee, hence why I'm only starting interacting with the forum now.

Even though the scope of the OP is no longer valid at this point in time, I feel like sharing 3 resolutions:

-> Good health for everyone around me . 2020 was bad and we don't know what 2021 holds for us. Even though it started well for the markets, Covid is still a disease that is far from over and we will have to face the consequences of it in the years to come ...

-> Improve myself. Either by reading more or learning new things. I've got to keep a sane mind and learning new things compels me to go to fields that I'm not very comfortable with.

-> Be a better friend. 2020 wasn't easy on friendships. We had to part our ways to those long dinners, those cray parties at the middle of the summer or even the fireside talks in the forest. People are either busy with their lives or just trying to "run away" from Covid that I ended up not keeping in touch with my friends as much as I would like. Will definitely work on that!

I guess that's it. Albeit a small quantity, I would be really happy to work on them throughout the year

Not connected with the price actually but with the post I wanted to share - it was with a faucet that I thought is good. I found it a month ago. Was not able to create a good post as my profile had no posts. After today I no longer feel that the faucet is really good as they lowered the rewards (understandable because of the price and not so much because of the way the tiers are organised).

Because if it is for the merit I think OP doesn't give merits anymore from this thread since it was for 2020's new year resolution.

My new years resolution is to learn and master cryptocurrency processes. I target atleast full member rank within the first 6 months of this year. My personal goal this 2020 is to resign in my work because it I already have my own business or earning higher than what my regular job could earn me. Or atleast my goal within this year is to earn money while sitiing on my favorite couch watching movies or netflix.

Here in this forum, I'm here to learn more about this technology, because in my own idea very soon when you go to the supermarket you will need to pay with bitcoins instead of the traditional money we use right now. Since I'm familiar with C/C++ programming language with 6-7 years of experience my goal for 2020 is to learn about the bitcoin development. I wish you guys reach your goals this year.

I joined this forum in the very beginning of 2017. i was following long before but i was really too lazy to register. Reading was enough for me. If i registered before, i wouldn't face with merit system to promote more   I think i deserved it because i prefered not to join and support the community with posts. My aim is to make some useful posts for others and at the same time to get enough merits to promote.

Even it's already 2020, I'll share my plans for the year

First of all, I'm going to make some worthy contribution for the forum. I'll maybe create a replacement for the hat avatars . In regard to the ranking plans, I believe I will hit the Senior Member status by the end of 2020. The current milestone is, of course, the Member status which will unlock more eligibilities. I'm also willing to learn writing signature designs which I also found really interesting. Besides getting a Senior Member, I'm aiming to start at least one website related crypto and tens of interesting topics on the forum.

Backed from Hiatus in btt/bct, My target for 2020 is to reach Sr. Member, this is by being more active in the forum and sharing my knowledge to all. and be active in participating forum activities and discussion.
My plan next year? aside from having higher ranks, accumulate more crypto assests.

I joined this forum long time ago and I have no Idea about it. I only joined because my classmate told me to join and I can earn some cash from here. So I joined the group. But I didn't use my account here. I let my chance go that time. I had wasted my time playing dota 2 that time. And then I graduated I became busy on my review for my board exams. And now as time pass by. I realize that I wasted my time and now I am very much interested on learning about bitcoin and alt coins. And crypto industry as a whole.

I just hope that it is not yet too late for me to learn about this wonderful industry. I know that there are a lot of things to learn and a lot of opportunities for people here. I am thankful that my account is not deleted even if I am not using this very often. My target rank is to be a Legendary I will do my best to learn more about this industry and my new year's resolution is to help promote bitcoin and alt coin to other people and with that. I can help to increase the prices of the coins because I believe that if there will be additional users of the coins it will increase it's value.

What is your target rank or target number of merit: Hero member so around 163 more as I believe when you have over 500 activity and reach above 490 merits you reach this rank.
What is your personal goal for 2020 here in the forum: To help out those who have doubts in what bitcoin can and will achieve in the future.
What are you going to do next year, do you have a plan to achieve next year? For this year I plan on getting atleast 1 bitcoin so I can hodl it for as long as I can. Thus can say I have achieved a hodler status instead of just spending it.

My goals are I think firstly to give out more merits, I am kind of lazy about it. I need to be more active in this regard.

Secondly I hit Senior last year, and I need to try to hit Hero this year. It's a big ask as I currently need 227 more merit. In December I managed 60+, so 227 in a year is achievable, I just need to make sure I post good quality, informative stuff and avoid getting sucked into low quality discussions - a constant battle!

I really want to learn how to effectively manage my time this year. I want to plan my day on Google's calendar and get more efficiency from myself. And I'd also certainly like to buy more crypto before the bullrun

In regards to forum, my goal here is to gain more friends and some knowledge which I dont know yet. Friends for me here means respect which those who will guide me, and tell my mistakes or error and that's okay. Mistake makes you learn more and become matures on how you going to interact here.

I understand that most members of bitcointalk have already spent many years in the forum and I'm trying to learn as much from them as possible. I'm enjoying spenting many hours reading and researching this vast amount of information available on bitcointalk.
I'm trying to avoid writing posts that have no value. Before I post I always consider again if my post is actually helping someone, otherwise I delete it.

I'm not fluent in english, but I understand that writing helps me get better, as I'm looking up for the right words and spelling errors and learning in the process. I will probably start taking english lessons again to be able to communicate perfectly.
I've became passionate about Bitcoin and for the last two years I'm spenting most of my free time reading articles varying from cryptography to economy.

I'm not sure I have a target set to become a legendary member, perhaps it will never happen if I pursue only this and I don't have high expectations.
When someone merits me it means to me that I actually wrote something worthy of his time and this is my main target.

Everyone hopes to travel to the highest level but not everyone can, but I spend heaps of your time learning about Bitcoin despite the fact that it requires tons of your time. I don't know if can use those times properly and if I can learn something good then i will be able to attempt to share Shaful in order that others can learn.

My target is to be a trusted member in this forum. So i will do my best. I also have a personal goal that i want to be a doctor in my personal life. I also make a pan for the year 2020. Ang plano ko sa susunod na taon ay, makamit ko na ang susunod na rank yun ay walang iba kung di ang Hero rank. para naman masabi ko sa sarili ko na sineryoso ko talaga yung pag bibitcoin. dahil katulad ng karamihan sa atin dito, nanggaling din ako sa pagka newbie dahil last March 2018 lang ako nagsimula talaga. mabuti nalang sa tulong ng ating mga kababayan at mga Veterans member dito, madali kong natutunan kung ano ang mga basics at nalaman na rin kung pano ako makakatulong gamit ang mga natutunan ko. kaya pinagsama2x ko na lahat pati yung mga konting kaalaman ko sa Computer Technical issues, nangyari ay nanging Sr. Member ako at magiging Hero Member sa susunod na taon.

Obviously, I wanted to reach a Sr. Member rank during the course of the year 2020. I received a lot of airdrop merits from high ranking members during the 10th Anniversary Art Contest which in turn I became a Full Member.

As for the year 2020, my goal would be in self education. Since I am fond in learning and reading, I wanted to complete watching the video playlist uploaded by Andreas Autonopoulous regarding bitcoin and blockchain. I also want to explore the most historical event that occured in the early years of this forum as it might give me a glimpse on how the forum actually works. It is also might be a good idea if I can create new topic in our local section what I have learned during 2020.

Well, I'm still learning and trying to be better member of this forum and trying to reach my expectations in the crypto world. I ever said that I was a bad poster in the past (only focus on fulfilling the criteria for bounty). And now, this is the chance for me to start working better, to be a better member ( not only a quick poster). Hopefully, I can be better again and again.

the goal in 2020 for me, I finally aware, learned that Altcoin, mining, staking, tokens/smart contracts, dividend cryptocurrencies, ponzy nor HYIP do not guarantee lasting benefits as long as we are users  . so I might try to be the inverse, which is to become a producer

At the beginning of last year 2018 I started a similar thread and asked others to write out goals since it has been scientifically proven that when goals are written out, it increases your chances of achieving those goals. These were the goals I wrote and adjusted them as time went on;


By his grace plus my dedication i was able to achieve all my goal except just 1 which was the second goal so I'll be moving that to 2020 although the goal involving my asset portfolio has reduce due to my frequent cashing out bitcoin to fiats for my needs in hard times.

In 2020 I'll continue to pursue my financial freedom, through investing wisely and my signature privilege has also contributed massively as I reinvest 80-90% of my monthly earning. So hopefully that dream of mine will become a reality in 2020. On the forum, I hope to impact more users through my posts, as that's a core reason of been productive on the forum, the rest are secondary.

I am happy I managed to obtain the Full Member rank in 2019! I'll do my best to reach Senior when the activity will allow me (in April 2020); of course, hoping I will earn the merits needed as well.

I will try to revitalise somehow the Romanian board, which has so few posts lately. I don't know how I can do that, because even 2 merits giveaways I organised there didn't determine users to become active. But I will keep trying.

In the international sections (mostly Begginers & Help) I will keep try to raise awarness about the anarchical concepts behind crypto and about the history of the early crypto anarchists - the cypherpunks, which are the founding fathers of this phenomena (for example, articles like this one).

My primary target in this forum will be at least reaching hero member rank before the end since last year I learned about how to make the posts which could be helpful for others and also merit deserving posts so I am earning more frequently compared to three months before.

Read more informative posts and less of forum related arguments or drama (I hope).

Try to focus on boards like Bitcoin Technical Support, Development & Technical Discussion + sub-board, and maybe spend more time in WO.

Ranking up is a by-product of good posts.
You can't produce good posts if you have little knowledge.
That's how I look at it.

I mostly attend the local section of bitcointalk (plus some threads of some alt), but for the new year I would like to try to follow the main section a little, especially the meta here: I lurked it a bit between yesterday and today and I have seen many interesting threads so I have decided that I will come here a little too.

From a technical point of view - on the other hand - I would be interested in studying lightning networks: I see that its use is increasing but I have not yet had the opportunity to investigate how it works.

I dont mind or rush up to rank yet i know that it would really take some time.One thing for sure is that, i would continue to give out my best to contribute into this forum.

Im a nobody but at least i wont let myself to be included to those list which doesnt really have any plans or doesnt even earn a single merit.

Life goes on and just continue on things what ive been doing now.There might be changes but most it do pertain with my own behavior personally.

1. Get to learn a little more technical aspects of bitcoin and Bitcoin Lightning Network. I am not a dev or coder or even enrolled in any computer or information Technology related courses but i just hope to get to know a little more than the basics which can help me easily explain to other people who totally no knowledge about bitcoin. Pooya87 inspires me a lot. He said somewhere that he learnt bitcoin technical knowledge from scratch

2. Hopefully i become a Hero Member by Feb 2020. My progress has been slow but i know i will get there one day.

3. Make friends in the forum. Many are anonymous here but that doesn't change the fact that there is a human being behind that Keyboard. I would love to have healthy relationships with members and avoid grudges as much as possible,

4. Keep the forum clean from scammers... I will try to burst more scam. Nothing annoys me here like Scammers.

that's thoughtful of you, my target in this concluding year is that i should get to the hero member cadre before the end of the year, i couldn't meet up.at the middle i got bored,very few meaningful bounty and the bearish, so i was not making much  effort.the next year, i hope to get better at trading, have my rank increased and make more money than 2018 and 2019.

Continue learning in all fields related to cryptography, this is my main objective 2020, Bitcointalk has several sections with a lot of information about it.
And if all goes well, I will continue to increase my activity for the Legendary rank.

I don't have any goals as far as ranking up or anything like that, but I would like to distribute more merits next year.  I'm not off to a good start in December, unfortunately, as I've been extremely lazy this month.  Guess you don't have to start working on new years' resolutions until the new year comes, though.  Lol.

OP, is that the anniversary artwork badge under your username?  I've never seen that image before, and I'm assuming it is.  I was wondering what some of these badges would look like and this would be the first time I saw one.  Interesting.

I target to reach Full member rank soon at the beginning of 2020. And maybe higher ranks (Sr above). What I need to do: having a better quality in making posts and improve knowledge. For the next year, the minimum target is reaching Full Member and the maximum target is to become Sr Member. I think this is my reasonable hope in the next year.

I came to this forum to learn because I want to learn many things. First of all, my goal is to gain knowledge. And I want to be a Legendary Member. And I have no specific goal for merit. My personal goal is to create a cryptocurrency myself. But it requires huge knowledge. So I want to learn through this forum. I hope to start building my cryptocurrency from next year.
