I have a love/hate relationship with this country. I love how we have free healthcare and a pretty decent/safe quality of life, but I hate how it's full of ignorant plebs and run by elitist thieving scum who do nothing but launder tax-payers money.

I'd like to fuck off and live somewhere else, but I'm sure I'd get homesick. England is still my home as much as it frustrates me.

Oh I know "these people" you think about, but depending on how you define work, they do wether they know it or not.
Maybe its consulting or doing hair or whatever, even the I play WoW 60 hours a week because I have no job guys I know do some kind of work and even if its writing a how to grind dungeon xyz in WoW guide. Its a basic human principle that we want to communicate and share.
I mean there is this social system that gives them money anyway, so why not give money to everyone else who is doing something besides filling forms.

First off, I understand both sides.
Doing nothing and getting payed for it? Feels wrong!
On the other hand, there are not enough jobs for everyone. With the industrial revolutions more and more low education jobs are gone.
I think noone really wants to sit on his/her ass and do nothing. But even if you get a fixed amount of money no matter what youd still want to do something, dont you? Maybe its something most ppl wouldnt consider working, but maybe cultural works like art, music or writing. I personally think these cultural works have a value even though you cant sell them (well some artists get good money maybe, but the majority doesnt). So society should pay for it, right? Or mabye reduce daily work to 4 hours and raise the payment so you dont have to work more.

Well in my personal case I wish I had some money so I wouldnt have to work to pay for university.

lol yeah, I'm in the UK and you get those kind of racist morons everywhere, what they're saying is it's okay if you play the system as long as you're white, I'm getting sick of people who think they can ignore basic mathematics especially when I'm taking the time to learn it all properly. The best one is the government departments and public unions in this country, essentially their message is "Yes we agree that we need to make budget cuts to bring down the debt, no you can't do it to us" and they all say exactly the same thing which does actually make me feel sorry for the politicians in this country.

I am seriously considering denouncing my citizenship and moving to a country with a low tax rate.

I agree that the system's wrong and it needs changing. In this country you can get pretty much everything for free if you so wish to play the system.

To make that a little bit worse, almost every enlisted soldier from the ranks of E1 (Private) to E5 (Sergeant) is on food stamps or WIC because we make shit for pay....

Welcome to my world, people on this forum are right when they call this a prison planet, the best thing I ever experienced was when I was playing Dayz and this guy came on asking if anyone else was on because of a teachers' pension strike we had here in the UK and I said "No, because I need to work for my pension". I think what pisses me off most of all is not the fact that working people are paying for these arseholes but as long as this current system exists our children and our children's children will need to pay it off as well and we're all going to be forced to work longer because of their fucking laziness.

I've actually been looking at the Caribbean countries lately out of curiosity and I am not surprised in the slightest that it's a favourite haven for rich people even though I don't like hot weather very much at all lol.

Ha, funny I came across this tonight, so I just quit my job awhile ago - I quit- my friend today say's I should file unemployment , i tell him it does not work that way cause I quit and I am pretty sure the system is designed to help people who lose their job not those that quit, he says it does not matter just tell them it was a dangerous job (which it was) he is an employer and has been through the situation where an employee did that to them and the state did not care, now my friend knows I do not need the money, he say's what the heck "its free money maybe like half the amount of your check, why not?" I have no idea how to tell him that I have worked for everything I own and although its not alot, I earned it, I am just sitting on the phone confused, wondering how the hell people find pride in themselves taking a handout from honest working people, I don't get it, I would rather flip burgers than rip off my working friends.

I cant believe i just got into an argument with someone over working and free money! The conversation was initially about the notion of free money! If 48% of the country is off handouts in one way or another( section 8, food stamps , general assistance)

Then why not just cut the red tape and just give everyone free money every month for doing nothing. Thats the argument that im dealt!

Im not talking about people who actually need assistance .. im talking about those who "choose" to life a life of dependance on purpose. Its pisses me off that someone can work 20 years to save and own a home and the next door neighbor will have lived there for 10-15 years off section 8 paying about $140 a month for a home thats identical! A home you have to work 8-10 hours a day, 6 days a week for to support you and your familiy.





As if i wasnt already irritated the conversation got sidetracked and the subject was working! The arguer was now saying thats its not uncommon in some society's that people dont work!

Then the arguer says.. "In the Uk there are lots of immigrants that come into the country and dont work and they are given shelter and assistance." The arguer spoke as if every single immigrant in the UK did not work and just is basically sucking the life out the land and its ok!   << ---  wtf!



Why is it hard to understand the process of working and getting a reward for working hard and the harder you work the bigger the reward! Regardless if your work is physical or not. This hand out bullshit is just nuts! Someone was telling me about someone they know who is getting a disability check for being an alcoholic..

I was like what!!! Evidently he convinced some board that 30 years of drinking and being a loser should equate to receiving free money and being disabled while everyone else who works, pays that guys way!!!!



What a bunch of bs! Im not critical of people who need assistance at all ... we all need help sometimes in one way or another and we all have our strengths a weaknesses but i think everyone can contribute! We are all in the same boat! It benefits everyone to be a halfway decent member of society no matter what you do!
