Nice idea!  I found that the banners do not work if you try and open the link in a new tab.

I also think the advertising claims should be checked, such as the '$200 doge every hour' banner

Now all pixels open a new tab when you click, try it out please and thanks

We won't allow p0rn or offensive advertising, but about non-realistic claims.... well we don't care because at worst people won't click on them and the paying advertiser would have lost their money. It's at their own risk.

Or maybe you think unrealistic claims in the ads lower the quality of StealThePixels as well?

Lately i've been doing some email marketing, not so much.

I don't want to put great effort on increasing traffic yet , due to the faucet section: sometimes the withdrawals i have to send from the faucet overcome the income i get.

Increasing traffic now is a gamble: it could bring more gain (ads) or more losses (faucet)...
so when i've finished making the right adjustments to my business model i can invest more in promoting the site.

You could give less to the faucet

Not an option, i would not be competitive with the other faucets.

Maybe i could add a skill game where faucet users bet a part of the balance and battle each other to win the pot.
Like poker or darts.
I would take a small fee for each match, so that if many people play the game, i would in fact give less money to the faucet without lowering the dispense Smiley

The problem here is faucet visitors are all very poor people, they only want to take money and neither to bet nor purchase stuff (like mining contracts, etc.).

Ask holdajaa, he placed a referral banner on StealThePixels for a BTC slot machine site, and people clicked but didn't place bets on the slot machine so he got no commission!
He changed that banner after 2 days.

I'm pretty sure i would waste time developing a game like that

If you change the faucet into a skilled game that require real bitcoins betting you may attract new clients

Traffic went up a bit, so i've decided to add the AdSlot24 section: http://stealthepixels.com/your-ad-here/
from which you can buy the ad slot on the bottom and place your banner (728x90, 468x60 or 300x100).

Rates are as low as 0.18$ CPM which should be perfect even for non-business people Smiley

What do you think about it?

Traffic is not increasing that much, maybe it is time for some advertisement on other forums and http://www.bitvisitor.com/buyvisits.php?

You may want to write the name of the website in the thread title

Good luck for your website

Update:

The Get Free Money section has the 95% of the traffic, so i decided to give an additional advertisement slot there to the anyone who gets at least 500 pixel blocks from the homepage.

The current winner is from this community: holdaaja

The banner you put there will be displayed forever.. until someone else gets 500 blocks.
In that case he will steal it from you Smiley

We've added some new features to the Buy Pixels page:

- you can now see the exact price you're offering for each specific block, not just the total due

- Add ALL the pixels (to purchase the entire pixel board!)

- Empty cart (to clear all the pixels from your cart)

- Set all offers to the minimum (the minimum is the price the previous buyer paid, plus 1 cent)

- Increase all offers by... (you enter the price value to be added to all the blocks in your cart)

- Decrease all offers by... (you enter the price value to be detracted from all the blocks in your cart)

- on the Statistics page under Top Advertisements you can see how many $dollars each advertiser spent to get those clicks on his ads Smiley

Let me know about bugs/suggestions thx

Incoming features:

- on the homepage when the mouse hovers on a pixel, the description of the ad will be shown in a persistent popup rectangle which is more readable. That should increase the probability that the visitor will be interested in clicking on the ad.

I think it works, wasnt there a site called the million dollar site with this same concept a couple of years ago?

You've said it for me.

This one is just another rehash.

Plus, as of now, it looks horrible. These ads are not complementing one another.

Yes, but he is getting advertisers and winning money   Cool

This is an awesome idea!! so where would this ad be only on that site Or anywhere else ??

Yes only there, where else do you suggest to put it?

If you want to make an estimate on how many clicks you'll get if you purchase an ad,
look at the Statistics page once in a while: http://stealthepixels.com/history/

Usually the more blocks you get, the more clicks you'll get

Update: now we have the Statistics page http://stealthepixels.com/history/
which shows the daily clicks on the ads.

We've also optimized the homepage to load fast on all browsers, even Chrome Wink

I'm curious how you're hosting this -- incredibly slow for me.

Excuse me i was wrong, it is slow on Chrome only.
what browser were you using?

It works fine with Firefox, Safari and IE,
so i think it actually is a performance issue with Chrome.

i've just reported it to Google.

Test the website using different servers with online tests.

Which browser are you using?
