Never fear. We've been subject to DDOS attacks and other things, we've never been hacked.

BTG fork is done as the 491,407 block has been mined: bit(.)ly/BTGFork

Looking forward for the FreeBitco.in statement on getting our coins. Or, even better, on converting them to BTC as in BCC scenario :].

Yes indeed! Stay tuned for more details.

The miner FreeBitco is using mines Monero, not Bitcoin. FreeBitco then sells the mined Monero for Bitcoin and pays you in BTC. That is why when the price of Monero rises in respect to Bicoin, you will receive more satoshis for your mining.

This is correct.

I left my work pc mining during the weekend from friday evening until Monday morning and it earned 5265 shatoshis.

Be careful with that move, shit like that can get you fired!

Something happened with my freedoge acc last night. Before I went to sleep, my account balance is 1057 DOGE. And this morning I log in, everything is gone, balance is 0. What's happen last night when I slept???

Please check the PM Sir.  Cry

The price of Bitcoin Gold has quickly (in only 2 days) dropped from 0.09 BTC to almost 0.02 BTC and will most likely continue dropping as more and more people dump it. That is why we should not expect to receive a 10-15% bonus to our BTC holdings when exchanging the new fork coin to BTC as was the case with Bitcoin Cash. It will most likely be something like 1-2% this time.

Just by the way it droped from 0,15 btc per coin... this is what i saw on 24th on Yobit when he launched there...

Site down :/

Yes, it seems down to me, too. Unfortunately this happens from time to time, almost once a month recently. I hope they fix it soon.

Did the admin explain previously why it was down? Is it under maintenance or it was under attacked? I hope it's only under maintenance because I still got some bits hanging there  Sad

I have a lot of bits hanging there... . And the Kraken exchange is now also down... .

Kraken works for me.

The down was a "Flash" down... .

You wont burn your CPU mining monero, it's a slow algo and doesn't waste too much power, I use fanless minipcs to coin-hive on freebitco.in and they've never overheated.

And what about the laptop? I have a macbook pro (2010 or 2011 edition). It becomes hot and becomes very noisy when mining is 50% or more.
So I try not to mine on it.. Several years ago it was burnt, now I'm trying not to overheat it

Really? I have the same laptop (2011 edition) I didn't expect it may burn. I thought system will automatically switch off the processes that lead to overheating.

Hmm. I was thinking about such thing : if someone registered on freebitco (for example 2-3 years ago) and now he doesn't use it and even forgot about it and changed email and so on.. and if he wins a lottery! What would happen? This money just will be on his account forever??
Don't suggest variants like : he will get notification on email. phone etc. I just want to know what would happen in the case when he will never log in into his account.
hmm..

This is pretty much me. I have a +4 year old account with probably around 100 referrals, but I can't access it because I don't know the login Smiley (btc address)
And I didn't put the email in when I registered. I even know my ID, would even guess password in a few tries I'm sure, but that doesn't help me much.
I *might* have this info on my old PC, but I just tried turning it on few days ago and BIOS doesn't recognize HDD so windows do not load.

¯\_(ツ)_/¯

You could also try connecting your old Hard drive to a new computer using an usb adapter. I do usually do that to recover old info, and they aren't so expensive

Oh cool, I didn't even know this exists. Thanks!
I wasn't in any hurry really, just for the fact that it's bitcoin and the price goes up anyway... So later I find these old coins, the better Cheesy
