Just because someone started bitcoin early doesn't mean they have to be rich, that is the wrong type of thinking. I have started earlier than many people, when I first started freebitco.in wasn't even a thing if I remember correctly, however I did not kept the money, to the people who first took interest in bitcoin at the very early days we felt like bitcoin supposed to be "money" not investment, so we "earned" and "spend" it instead of buying and selling it.

I have earned god knows how much bitcoins working and I have spent almost all of it, I still do exactly that for the past 3 days and cover my expenses (proud to be my own boss and not go to work everyday) people who think "I wish I bought bitcoin back in 2011" or something miss out on the big fact that if you bought bitcoin at 30 cents there was a HUGE chance you would have sold it at 1 dollar to 100 dollar range instead of waiting for a 20 thousand dollar price.

I have sold bitcoins at 100 dollar levels and I have sold it at 20 thousand dollars, I have been around for both of them and never regret any of it.

That's the trade-off for online currencies since we're at the mercy of the site but mostly importantly, use 2FA and a strong password.

Yes this is the best option if you want your BTC to do the work for you, a real passive income with up to 4.08% Annual interest.

This actually pay's better than my local bank in terms of annual interest which is just 0.50%.

Not to mention the no lock in period, We can withdraw our BTC anytime we like.

But the only downside is the lack of fine print if ever any unwanted incident happen (eg hacking) since our bitcoin savings account are not insured in anyway.

Well, first post and first merit point, well deserved for that article. I think a lot of people does not see the "compound interest" angle to this site and they disregard it as a bunch of crap, because the faucet pay-out is negligible. I have left a significant amount of BTC in my account and I use the daily interest of that to gamble on the site.

If I am luck enough to win anything, then that would be a added bonus. The BTC I deposited on Freebitco.in, would not have gained interest in a paper wallet, so this is a huge bonus. Wink

If you do stuff like that in the end you get the hold of the idea and start actually buying some bitcoins. Hence the website is doing a lot more work on adoption than many other websites we know not with just faucet but also with a great beginner level name like freebitcoin. I hope you guys continue to exist as long as bitcoin exists.

This is exactly how I got into Bitcoin; I was broke on campus and a friend told me about bitcoin. He did not have much knowledge about it so I decided to search on the internet and through my search I came across the faucet sites. I tried and was able to meet the withdrawal limit, I withdrew and it worked. I then searched for buyers and I found their site. Hey Freebitco is one the best legit faucet site out there, i got my very first satoshis from there so this site will always be special for me. You are right that I got too far saying that I know that something sketchy is with the dice. I shouldn't use these words.

I have future experience with dice and that is why I felt that something is different because the house edge is very high 5% and I didn't know about it.

This explains why I felt that something is different and winning chances are smaller.

One more time. Freebitco.in is the best faucet I ever have known and is paying from start until today with no problems at all. I am very happy to use this service but don't advise to play dice because the house edge is high and I have never won there.

Yes, I think "adoption" is still happening, but it is not the primary motivation for the site, as it was back then. Faucets was first introduced as a method to increase adoption and to spread bitcoins to more people. Freebitco.in did this primarily for years, but with the advertising income challenges, it had to shift to a gambling income model, which became their primary goal now.

I still use Freebitco.in as an example of a use case for Bitcoin as a introduction strategy for new Bitcoiners, because it is easy to understand. Cheesy

Yeah, that "I have never won" is because the house edge is about five times higher than the average house edge in the market but they are also providing you with a ton of stuff with that which is why it looks higher, before you gamble you can literally get free money from them, when you gamble you can get lottery tickets, reward points and so forth and when your money is just standing still it is making you more money every single day while its standing there, like you are staking bitcoin which you can't find anywhere else.

Yeah, you might feel like you always lose on dice which is acceptable since casinos are designed to make sure they win over gamblers, its like that for each casino you can find and maybe freebitcoin has a bit higher house edge but you can't find all the other things in any other place on bitcoin world.
