So anyway, I applied as a merit source :)
What about 10BTC investment? It generates 0.001BTC daily that is equal of $37 daily or 1200 USD monthly. It's more than enough income for those who live in poor countries and still a very good addition for those who live in rich western countries.
Not bad at all. Monthly money made from that can be easily used to cover up monthly bills in any under-developed country that has its local currency in red compared to the USD.

It can be a good method to hold those coins instead of keeping them locked in the wallet. Additionally the site allows you to withdraw the money any time you want. The only deterrent is the counterparty risk - meaning that you have to trust the opposite party in this case freebitco.in's owner and that they would not scam you, which we can all be sure that they would not.

Same sort of mixup can happen when looking at the daily interest given, its only altogether and including compound that its 4% or higher but daily its all alot smaller but still I like that its daily; banks dont give that convenience on deposits some of them Im never sure they pay me anything as it takes forever to appear.
Daily interest is given on the "Earn BTC" page
Code:
Daily interest will be calculated at a random time everyday @ 0.0109589% per day.
However for any amount less than 100BTC invested, the daily interest would not seem withdraw-worthy. I would rather run it for a month or a year before I withdraw.

$37 per day for those who live in a country with a cheap cost of living is certainly very good and can make the person calm enough to do other activities that also generate income, but I doubt anyone will want to risk 10 Bitcoins in a casino or other centralized platforms because we don't have access to the Private Key, so the risk of losing is very big, maybe it's not the casino that is down but our account being hacked even though we have used 2FA, and it could be that people who have Bitcoin with that much value will think about investing in other things, for example buying stable altcoins which will also provide big profits when the price rising, especially now that many predict it will soon enter a bull period.

I think if they had any plans about doing this, it would have already happened by now, and to say the truth, a long time ago, when faucets were still a thing and they had freebitco.in and freedogeco.in. Since then, only freebitco.in remained and the sibling website was shutted off due to not being profitable for the company, as income from ads weren't sufficient to pay users anymore since Google ads' ban which happened nearly 2016.

Freebitco.in's hourly faceut was maintained as a kind of tradition with its community, even though it's also not profitable anymore for the company to keep it alive. What they do is to take part of the gambling's profits to pay faucet's users. I don't know if they consider it a charity for their users or not, but as I see, it still has a very strong marketing and nostalgic appeal towards their base of customers.

Was it only insufficient advertising revenue that caused the Freedogecoin site to shut down? I previously thought that abuse of the faucet by some users was also a reason.
As for Freebitcoin, it has been a gambling site for a long time, not a faucet. In fact, the hourly faucet is already a secondary feature of the site, and I agree with you that it's kind of a tribute to how this site's growth journey began.

Maybe at another time there will be a freeethereum site in the future, no one knows, we'll see, but personally I'm honestly not too interested in ethereum because the transaction fees in my opinion are quite expensive and high which makes me think ethereum is not worth it used as a transaction for us poor people who only rely on free money from free spins and faucets.

Good old times, I completely forgot about the freedogeco.in site and I wish I was more active back then as the value for DOGE skyrocketed. The faucet itself will not be profitable, but the rest of the site should compensate it (they have a 5% house edge), otherwise I doubt they would still be in existence.

I was just wondering if anyone heard of this site taking Ethereum as a deposit.  Would this not boost traffic and open availability to a wider audience.  I just figured that'd be an easy way to gain more revenue and also its helpful to the players to have the ability to bet ETH.  I know we can bet on the ETH price so maybe its possible.  I guess this decision on this idea was already considered at some point but every year ETH is a bit more established so who knows maybe we can see it ?
Maybe there were plans to add it in the past or maybe I missed the news, after all it was written that this site from the start was a bitcoin faucet so it only focused on bitcoin.
Even though on this site there is a token called FUN I think it's just an additional part, but I'm not sure that ethereum will be used on this site, after all what is it for, wouldn't it be better to use bitcoin because this is a site with a domain containing the name bitcoin.

I'm the most idiot of all. Bonanza counter comes on my screen like it did for all of you right?

But silly me, I thought it was a countdown to START, so when it went to zero I started my wagering. Finished my entire target (wagering to unlock my 3.5mbtc multiply bonus)... then saw I only got regular GTs.

I've been on this site for years and I noobed lol

Total wager in this session: 0.4 BTC... so I missed out 160 Gts and 320k RP (over $110). I'm really stupid sometimes Tongue

But I have an idea and also a question as well concerning staking for the durations you mention above and the APY percentage that comes with it.

Does it really make any sense to stake for 365 days to earn only 25%  interest rate when one can actually earn up to 60% APY for the same 365 days(one year)

Now, you might want to ask how is 60%  APY possible in 365 days when the site is only offering 25%?
Well, here is the answer, if staking for 90 days pays 15% APY, 90 days is equal to 3 months, and we have 12 months in a year(365 days), now, divide 12 months by 3 months(90 days), you get 4.

Now, this means that one can earn 15% APY 4 times in a year(365 days) 4 times 15% APY is 60, which means, with this formula, one can earn up to 60% APY on their staked Fun tokens by just choosing to stake them for 90 days consecutively all through the year, instead of choosing 1 year outrightly and earning just 25% APY.

How true or possible is this my formula, or calculation.?
APY means annual percentage yield, i.e. interest rate per one year. It's also very logical to assume that the longer you deposit, the higher interest you receive. They want to retain money as long as possible, so, pay higher interest to those who lock funds for longer period of time.

Same sort of deal is why interest rates can be confusing, credit cards always want to quote monthly as it can easily confuse people how they add it all up to the annual cost.
I dont see much confusion here at all.

Compounding and so on complicates matters but they've been fair here and its equalized on the yearly view.
It is easier that way and to get the monthly rare just divide by 12.

Talk about the site taking altcoin deposits happened back in 2018-2019 but was never taken up forward. The site has branded itself as a "bitcoin" faucet and it should remain like that in my opinion.

Nice hit, we see those high prizes less and less. Maybe you can't buy cheeseburger now, but if you hold them long enough who knows! Smiley

Thanks, I can't remember when was the last time it happened. Theoretically speaking, BTC price should hit at least $70K for that cheeseburger to be a reality Grin

As I remember it was 25% from the beginning.

Upon some digging, the 45 was part of the debut promo.

Your calculations are wrong.
APY means Annual Percentage Yield and that's the interest rate you can get if you hold your fund for one year.
If you lock your FUN tokens for 90 days, the APY would be 15% and that means that you would get around 3.7% interest for the 90 days.

As hosseinimr93 wrote, and you can check this by yourself on the site:

Of course, with a longer holding period, there are more benefits as well...

...
It's been a long time since I saw this. Still ain't enough for a cheeseburger tho Grin

It's 25% but only if you lock them for the entire year (365 days):

IINM, wasn't the percentage much higher previously? Like 40 something?

According to the website, one could earn up to 25% APY on Fun tokens if he or she bought and staked it...

It's 25% but only if you lock them for the entire year (365 days):

-15 days 5%
-30 days 10%
-90 days 15%
-180 days 20%.

Still nothing like the old GT deposit bonus there used to appear before, and maybe not as cool as Flash Promo but at least in this way everyone gets a chance. Super tempted to use this opportunity to break my GT record although it will still take a huge amount of wagers...
