Yeah I don't think the APY is really something to attract us who're staking it. Probably 99% of my decision to stake was only to enjoy the Premium benefits. Which you need 1 year anyway to maximize, which is why it made sense just to lock it.

I think on a whole I've already lost about 20% of my BTC value from locking it 2 consecutive years (now am halfway through second lock term), but the extra interest, the WoF, I'm still collecting so maybe it works out to break even anyway. FUN for Premium is a long-term "game". Every year you stay, the gains become much more until a point you've earned enough to cover back FUN capital.

(Not promoting FUN and not suggesting it at all but it is near all time low now).

However, it was soon evident that I needed to upgrade myself with premium feature which is applicable only if you stake for entire year period. In my case I started getting WOF in different levels. After a year I am consistent on 8 WOF per day. I have even forgotten that there was any investment into FUN since I am getting enough returns from spins. Yes I agree with you, but what is nice with FUN tokens is the more people play with them at FUN casinos, the more tokens are burnt. So if people start to adopt it massively to gamble, its value can rise very fast. But sadly most FUN holders keep them into investing plans, instead of using them. Not required for a good product that should benefit users and crypto overall.

I've held tokens for a project for esports betting years ago, my objection to their operation was it was awkward to use to the point where you could place and pay for a bet but it would never appear just lost in their system and you would be minus your wager. Plus just the very basic requirement was missing, it wasnt possible to bet on win or lose for a team in a 5 second kind of way lots of people just bet their team ; so that project didnt take off to say the least.
