Using martingale is just betting on that there will be no long losing streak. But many fail to realise how much money would be needed to finance this strategy if an unusually long losing streak occurs.
With a base bet of just one satoshi and 1btc=$30k, the cost of a losing streak of 10 would be just $0.31, but that's almost guaranteed to happen. A losing streak of 20 would cost us over $314. A losing streak of 30, that's $322,123 - just to win 1 satoshi.
If I remember correctly, the longest-recorded losing streak on JustDice (which used to be the most popular bitcoin dice site) was over 30.
You are 100% right, it is not worth to do it. In the beginning, I tried it a lot and with success but offcourse it is bound to be doomed in the long end. Had 2 times streaks of like 15 or 16 losses so lost quite a lot of money because of that.
I tried to use martingale because I thought I could win just a little to be able to withdraw it so I could play other casino games looking for new experiences but in the end I ran out of winning money, don't ever try to use this martingale strategy if you don't want to lose even though you have big capital money.
