Another F1 race tomorrow - I bet on Leclerc. Hamilton out after the 1st Q!

But it is not the most important time - apparently drivers were forced to race! Otherwise, it was suggested to them they could be arrested or have other problems leaving the country.

Less volatile? 7d eth price movement is +10.86% while btc 7d price movement is +7.86% at the time of writing according to cmc but eth could be rallying soon too though

I guess its my perception bias since the price gaps between both are quite huge (Bitcoin moves by the thousands while ETH by the hundreds) :p

That is also because of the price difference these two cryptos have with each other,if ETH moved in thousands it would make quite a huge number of people happy, the miners I mean,as they are the ones who have the more of that coin and it would increase the profits by a minimum of 200% if it moved in thousands.I think Bitcoin is quite well known for its huge volatility, this is the case from quite some many years now.

I would we one of those happy people. LOL.
Of course the price difference is huge between ETH and BTC. We shouldn't be looking at how much price is hit by the volatility but instead the percentage should be taken into count of volatility.
Bitcoin will have to move by $4400 to show a 10% change in price while ETH will just have to move by $310 to show the same 10% change.
This is one of the reason why the price betting in freebitco.in has a price range of hundreds in ETH while thousands in BTC.

Feeling good after reading all the rich legends and gamblers talking about price movements and how they are getting benefited from the same. Dang it! Wish had that much money as to get affected by such volatility of the prices for bitcoin and ether. As far as my portfolio is concerned and the amount which is on casino is literally pin in a haystack. Lolz. I would not be bothered if bitcoin moves by huge % as it won’t affect my wallet at all.

However, this raises one question on my mind about the Casino and their management regarding prices. I mean when we have money on the casino we see it in fiat value (btc, eth etc as crypto). But how do they manage it when we wager and increase it in the fiat multiples and withdraw when the prices for crypto are high or low? Getting my question ?

I have a suspicious that freebitco team is so big and rich, they manipulate the price depending on bets  Grin
Who knows, maybe they even have an influence on football teams.
I hope that was just a joke.  Grin

Of course it was, I thought emoticon I used made it clear. If not : yes, it was a joke.

The funniest thing about this joke is that with parimutuel betting it doesn't make any difference to us who wins. You're all betting against each other, not against us.

I don't think that freebitco can manipulate the bitcoin prices because even with a lot of money, you cannot make sure the bitcoin price remains at a certain level exactly at the month end. On the other hand, exchanges like Binance have enough funds to liquidate the short traders by manipulations before moving the market up and vice versa.
I am pretty sure that not a single person in the world that could manipulate it with money. I mean sure Biden or Putin or whoever with power could come up and say something and manipulate it, but do we really think that they would care enough about bitcoin and its price to manipulate it? Aside from those people, even the richest people can't really change the price all their own, the market is too huge, we are talking about billions exchanging hands every single day.

This is why it would probably not be something that people would be able to change all that much, and freebitco.in is among them, neither wetsuit nor thequin have that kind of power.

I don't know if PawGo is serious about what he is thinking. But freebitco can't manipulate the bitcoin market as well as the results of these football games. They are just the same with us, waiting what will happen to the market. Their influence is only on the odds that they will give to the bettors but to the extent of manipulating the prices or results, nope.

I don't think UserU will have placed equal amounts to both ranges as otherwise it will always end up in a loss. But we can't forget about the time multiplier also; so if the bet was placed early in the month than the final odd will be a lot higher than 1.64.

Yup, I placed both bets of different amounts as such either one would still be profitable Smiley

That's what i wanted to know how to place bets that in case we lose one and win one, we are still at profits. If i could know this secret formula i can apply it on sports betting too. Betting on both the teams and still managing to win in the end  Wink

There's no secret formula because it's just basic math. I don't think that you can apply it to sports betting though since the odds will be on one side most of the times.
The sum of all bets you place should be less than the lowest return of all your bets.
Thats how you stay in profits just by winning any one of the bets since the return will always be higher than what you have invested.

45k is top of the range thats why its a bit deceptive.   Didnt feel like a great bet to me though its most likely to just go sideways and be quite calm.   Depends how much of the price is speculators who will now take profits for the weekend and close out leveraged bets.   Generally I dont expect a sell but I was not enthusiastic this time around, being positive the target upside would be about 48k as its a very widely watched 200 day average.   The most simple take on BTC price at any time is we will return to this average over time even amidst gloom or hype, so this recovery is on par.

Not even Elon Musk or Jeff Bezos have that much money at their disposal (even though they may have some influence on the market in other ways).

They have something else - their "brand" (and followers on twitter). If Ronaldo may change price of Coca-Cola shares with one move of his hand... Everything is possible.

I wrote early in my post that freebitco don't have the capital or resources to move the market, but these exchanges do have the money to do the dirty games. Even though everyone knows how exchanges manipulate to make us liquidate yet we want to take high leverages.  Sad

Well, that's true. Although Musk's words no longer carry the same weight in the crypto world as they did a few years ago. Especially since the whole world has moved away from the hype created around Tesla. Even if he decided to accept bitcoin payments again, I doubt it would have much influence on the chart.

It will probably has less influence than before; especially for BTC. But when Musk announced, some months ago, that Tesla would accept DOGE as payment option, the price did jmup up a lot initially. Musk is still popular enough, so if he would recommend another (and maybe not so famous) coin, its price will shoot up!

I think no one takes what Elon Musk says about crypto seriously anymore, gone are the times like April 2021 when he said he is going to accept Bitcoin payments for Tesla cars which skyrocketed the price only to say a different thing in May 2021 which together with the China ban made the price go deeply downwards.Since then whatever Elon Musk says or does means nothing as he betrayed his own integrity and that's it,once trust is broken,it cannot be recovered.

Everyone wishes bitcoin crosses 45,000$ and we move towards all time high again. However, i wish if we can close the month under 45K before flying off , so you win your bet.  Smiley

Bitcoin's current Market Cap is over $ 800 billion. Can you imagine the amount of capital required to influence a 10% price increase? Or even just 5%? Not even Elon Musk or Jeff Bezos have that much money at their disposal (even though they may have some influence on the market in other ways). However, even if something like that is possible, I doubt that the end result would justify the investment.

Well, there's no particular reason why I'm writing about that but it could be wrong because I'm not a pro trader or an analyst Grin
Although it looks pretty stable, is that a guarantee it will be like that for the next day, the day after, or even next week? Of course not right? The price this day is just up and down from $44k to $43k and I guess it will be like this for a while.

I already got that from the email promotion Grin
