There is trouble abrewing
How about making use of freebitco.in as your online wallet?
Anyone here already making use of freebitco.in account as your web wallet?

I am asking this because there are multiple advantages:
1. We can earn daily interest when our balance exceeds 30k satoshi.
2. In recent times, BTC tx fees are skyrocketing but here we can pay anyone with BTC instantly for less than 15k satoshi as network fee. (If I remember correctly I need to pay around 40k satoshi in my electrum client with 3 to 5 input and 2 or 3 output based tx).

1. never. it is not a wallet ever. and if you use it as a wallet, it goes against the nature of bitcoin. you are supposed to be the only one in control of your private keys whereas you won't have any control if you store them with a third party no matter how much trust they have.

2. unlike exchanges and even some custodial wallets, freebitcoi.in charges the network fee based on the mempool which means it won't matter whether you use your desktop waller or this site you can end up paying similar fees.

* with that said, considering their history and performance i have been storing some small amount of bitcoin for a good daily profit for over a year now. but the amount is something i can afford to lose and it is still not used as my wallet.

Odd for Biden to win is definitely interesting as the odds on freebitco.in are much higher than on 'standard' betting sites. Based on the latest polls, it should be a quite easy win for Biden, but we have seen 4 years ago, that everything can still change. Also the odds for the US Open are interesting (especially for the Women).

Most bitcoin people are not brainwashed by the MSM. 4 years ago the polls were again favoring Clinton but guess who won the elections.

Not saying the same thing will happen again but don't get mad when it does.

@babygun currently all the signs are indicating a victory for Biden, and therefore I’m surprised that freebitco is offering such high odds on his victory. Also can Biden yet lose after winning the elections, that is something we all should be thinking before wagering on him, and since there’s lack of clarity on this that’s why I’m not keen to wager on him. @mindrust things were different back then, and now Trump has no surprise cards left up his sleeves, except using the court to revoke the elections results.

I can follow your logique. Now I think his popularity will have dropped again as he minimized Covid when he returned to the White House. But Trump will not go down without a fight and use some tricks to stay president.
Because of the value, I placed a bet on a victory for Biden but as  I don't consider this as a safe bet, stakes are small.

We should not consider our account deposit addresses here at freebitco.in as a wallet because we do not hold its private keys.  But, yes, I am also one of those who take advantage of their daily interest.  Who doesn't want to receive free sats using only the accumulated portion of BTC?  In the last few twitter campaigns I have participated in, I have entered the small amounts of bitcoin I earn.  Occasionally I even use it to forecast Multiply BTC.  I do not waste it when I know the gambling day is not for me.  When I have accumulated a large amount, I take it out to be used to supplement the payment of bills.

Count me as one of them. Of course, I don't keep a LOT on it, no one should keep their entire Bitcoin savings on any online wallet, exchange or casino or whatever, but as you point out, the daily interest is a very attractive thing for guys like me who need a hot wallet for random things and who don't mind risking a bit of BTC for good interest. The only danger for me is that I also get tempted to gamble some of it away.

40k in Electrum means you're using it wrong... I also hardly pay more than a few k here on FBC.

Why in the world did I bet just 2k instead of 10k on the "$10,501 - $11,000" range?! Smiley

Probably because it was floating on over 11k range when you bet on that (?)

The thing is that my other than "$10,501 - $11,000" bets were placed much earlier, and my winning bet, "$10,501 - $11,000", was made in the very last day, when it was obvious that the price will stay in the range $10k-$11k. Since "$10,001 - $10,500'" was covered earlier, I decided to cover the remaining range  and, indeed, it was a right decision, but the bet was too small even for recovering my lost bets. Clearly, it was a mistake, and I wrote it down to never repeat it again.

Never tried nor never heard like anyone making use of freebitco.in as web wallet Shocked.

Did you go through their TOS to find out any mention about that? (I have seen lots of auto betting bots for almost every crypto gambling houses but recently Quin has cleared that using bots for claiming freeroll is prohibited as per freebitco.in's ToS).

I agree freebitco.in is a long running crypto and highly reputed services hence I am able to get your idea of relying on them for your BTCs but making use of them as a web-wallet should be officially approved one otherwise they may lock your account and may you need to face further consequences.

Awesome and thanks for that! I thought that probably you could just enter a w/d address and it wouldn't work if not supported but knowing how tricky wallet support can be, I thought rather to ask than try and regret later. Super news, very good. That bonanza period starts tomorrow I believe, I'll be throwing my hat in for some good old gold tickets;)

.......and therefore I’m surprised that freebitco is offering such high odds on his victory. .........
Freebitco is using parimutuel betting system. So, odds are not offered by freebitco. They are determined by users. Odds for Trump are now smaller because more money has been put on Trump.
Till now 62,000 people have bet on Trump, while only 33,000 people have bet on Biden. Unlike many polls, people here in freebitco believe that Trump will win the presidential election.

Quote
it should be a quite easy win for Biden
Its easy win for Biden in a few states and and a clear loss in others, its a lumpy uneven sum to total which is what makes it deceptive to judge and bet on.   I dont trust the polls because often they dont distinguish between a large amount of positive votes for Biden in a state he's already clear to win so the margin there doesn't matter.     Judging the swing state sentiment is probably the only really reliable way to increase accuracy on predictions because votes count more where it could go either way.   Also its hard to judge the perspective of someone who might vote for either candidate but are undecided, so my opinion of recent events even the debate is that it helps Trump win favor which Im sure puts me in disagreement with quite a few but I'm just looking for brand recognition really in the race.   I'm just watching a Democrat voter commentating Biden is boring them, thats not the sensible opinion but how many can be bothered to support and vote either side is quite a large part of it.
The other thing to guess is turn out rate, how many normally disinterested voters are present in the election over regulars because 'team supporters' are the most vocal but perhaps matter the least is how I weigh this up.   I'll carry on considering odds a 50/50 race till I see good advantage, thats not bias by myself as a standing president already begins ahead of the race but that is discounted in 2020 with its negative events.

Election result may not be known till mid to late November, just another quote I heard broadcast.   Till one side concedes that part is normal to some extent but this year is abnormal in that people avoid standing in a line of people to vote for health reasons, so the effect is additional.   Could be a pending bet for a while then seems like unless the perception its an obvious Biden win turns correct.

Not a very important question, and sorry if I've asked before but I'm wondering if you guys support withdrawal to Native segwit (bech32) addresses?
Yes, you can withdraw to native segwit addresses.
Read the following post made by TheQuin.

......  Bech32 addresses can be entered on the withdraw page but you can't set the default withdrawal address on the profile page. ......

I also tested it myself.
Look at the image below. Now, I have a pending withdrawal to a native segwit address.
