This. Last season, PSG aimed at Champions League and hoped that they will win it after a failed final two seasons ago. They lost ambition in Ligue 1 after winning it in many years. This season would be different, after they lost it last year, they will not let other teams take the title again. They want to prove they are the King in Ligue 1, this season.

I said Montpellier can make surprises. Then I said it is ridiculous to see PSG's opponents like Lens and Nice dropping points easily. Even OM is dropping points except this game against Lorient where they won 4-1.. They will face PSG next weekend BTW, we will see what they could do Wink

Recently Marseille are going down in quality just because of this now they are much behind Leaders PSG even they have one match in hand, but gape is too big for them and their Europa form is also very poor in last match they held by Turkish club at home which is also serious issue for them. Currently, PSG is doing some good but with other teams they are much ahead in quality which is just because of big spending in transfers.

French League biggest issue is money which is not coming like PSG so if they have this solution then surely with some good quality players they can give some more tough competition to PSG but right now it's not possible for any other French club.

Marseille back to winning after three games and they won big at home with 4 1 against lorient but still a good game from the visitors they created many chances and they were really dangerous especially in the first half but unlucky for them payet and guendouzi were back at their top form and first goal for milik after coming back from a long injury.

Honestly PSG played "okay" at best. Just because they won the game doesn't mean that they were the better team, we are talking about clear difference between the levels of two teams and this should have been an easier game for them. I understand that it doesn't look like a proper situation and there were many players missing the game so that is why PSG was weaker this game.

However even with those players missing, the players that played in the game still 10x better than the players on Angers, or at least on paper that is. When you watched the game, it wasn't like PSG was clearly better, it was more like they were close levels teams when in fact we know that they are not even remotely close. Hell put Mbappe on Angers and it would be barely close, I would still favor PSG a little bit more, they would be head to head in that case with PSG only a slight edge, but we know Mbappe is at PSG so it was a weird game for PSG to have so much trouble.

I don't know what's going on in PSG's back line at the moment, for sure when in their game they seem to lack communication between defenders, besides that they seem to be too easy to let go of opposing players both in marking and duels.
should be with the condition of the players who are all adequate and can be said to be tough defenders for big teams they should be better.
to be honest in terms of defense I prefer to see nice than PSG

The Montpellier club has a very interesting history. Incredible victories alternate with crushing defeats.

IMHO I think the job is too big for him to handle,if he doesn't get the right system of play into he's player's, Chance's of taking the Champions League is no longer sure.
Sergio Ramos is a defender that has shown the world he's best,still capable of doing more but he's he been paired with the right person at the backline ?
Messi as well he has Neymar alongside, expected much more than I'm actually seeing.
PSG are doing them self harm without selling Mbappe last season, letting a player that will give you 100 million go is a no brainier, too dumped for my licking......if Mbappe want a move he shouldn't be held back but granted.

Lens is one of the club doing greatly in the Ligue 1 this season, they are behind PSG on the standings and their performance is their last match was good. They will however be facing Montpellier in an away match today. Montpellier don't seems to be a strong team, but they might give Lens a tough time winning the game. Therefore, Lens have to play carefully, losing this game can risk thier position on the table. Because they are just 2 points ahead of Nice who will be playing against Troyes.

I mean Mbappe is by far the best player in that situation.. However they have Di Maria and Icardi as well which means that they have a great roster without Messi or Neymar as well.

I believe that there is a chance that they could be winning the league if those two players did not play at all for the whole year and that is the important part right now while people do not understand how important the players they already have. I get that people are expecting a lot more from them with the players they have and when there is missing players then everyone thinks that they are going to be worse but even when worse they are still better.
