Paris Saint-Germain appear to have joined Barcelona in the race to try and sign Nico Williams from Athletic Club.

The Athletic report the Ligue 1 side “have already made tentative contact” as they explore the possibility of trying to bring the Euro 2024 star to the Parc des Princes.

As we all know by now, Williams has a release clause in his contract thought to be around €58 million and he is expected to move on this summer.

Barcelona seem to be leading the race and are hoping of tempting the Spain forward to Catalunya to play alongside Lamine Yamal.

Fabrizio Romano is reporting Barca are “increasingly confident” of agreeing a contract with Williams and will hold more talks this week.

Barca’s biggest obstacle is being able to finance the deal, although president Joan Laporta has insisted the club are confident they can afford a move for Williams this summer.

Based on my own observation PSG will win this fight because they have what it takes to get him, and am sure they will not give up since Mbappe has left they will make sure they have a young super star to take that name, Barcelona are facing financial crisis. what your thoughts on this?
I agree with you if you look at it from a financial point of view, Barcelona will be far behind in the race to get Nico Williams signature. However, it all depends on Nico Williams himself, in terms of game and culture, it is likely that he will prefer Barcelona. Atletic Bilbao will of course encourage him to join PSG, because the Ligue 1 giant can offer greater benefits. Apart from that, PSG might divert their attention from Osimhen because Napoli set the price too high, Nico Williams release clause is half of Osimhen price. In short, without needing extra effort PSG can win the race, because Barcelona is experiencing a financial crisis.

PSG is said to be interesting in bringing not only Osimhen but also Kvaratskhelia as it seems. Is it correct?  Huh

Then PSG wouldn't like spend astronomical amounts for each player for sure. They would like to finish this package deal as profitable as possible. But especially Kvaratskhelia is among Conte's plans. I don't know how things will go on from now on honestly. The new season is approaching and still there is a big ambiguity.

But imagining PSG managed to get them both, they would get incredibly stronger.  Grin
What you heard is not wrong at all, because previously PSG had tried to recruit Osimhen and Kvaratskhelia for 200 million euros, but Napoli rejected the offer because they only wanted to sell Osimhen at this time and not Kvaratskhelia, apart from Osimhen, Kvaratskhelia is one of the players who have contributed to Napoli in the last few seasons, so that Napoli is very aware that if they sell both of them now it will actually disrupt the stability of their squad next season, because currently Napoli actually has big ambitions with Conte next season to be able to win the Scudetto again.

Napoli was confirmed that they won't sell both players because lost them will have any effect to Napoli performance for next season and about Kvaratskhelia apparently Napoli will give their priority to hold this player because Kvaratskhelia was included to Conte plan for next season so although PSG was offering huge money as transfer fees but that doesn't make Napoli tempted to sell him and actually if Napoli is interested to sell Kvaratskhelia they will gets much profit from this transfer because it says PSG is willing to buy Kvaratskhelia with 100 million

The latest news about Kvaratskhelia is he was give his statement regarding this rumour that Kvaratskhelia will be stayed at Napoli and will give his commitment for Napoli although PSG was offering the contract with huge amount of money as the salaries but Kvaratskhelia says he didn't interested to moved to PSG and playing at Ligue 1 and the latest rumours about him is Napoli is preparing for a new contract for Kvaratskhelia and in the new contract Kvaratskhelia salary will be increased until 7 million per year

And for Osimhen actually he insist want to leave Napoli this summer because Osimhen feel this is the right time to find new club but i was a bit tired to follow his transfer progress because although PSG is the strong candidate club who possibly will gets him but PSG hasn't officially to bid for him even the negotiation between Napoli and PSG seems deadlock even there is possibility this transfer will be failed because Napoli don't want to lowering his price

Previously, it was rumored that Kvaratskhelia would also leave Napoli after he received a smaller salary than Osimhen so far, but this news has been denied by Kvaratskhelia agent, saying that his client has high loyalty to Napoli at the moment, although many teams want to recruit him and it seems that currently Kvaratskhelia has received a better  salary offer from Napoli, so he prefers to stay rather than follow in the footsteps of Osimhen who really wants to leave Napoli.

Kvaratskhelia received many offers and chose to stay in Napoli, which was his choice. If I were him, I would prefer to go to a bigger team in Europe, but he must be devoted to Napoli with his heart. I think money is not the only problem. Mentally, he must be very happy in Italy. Of course, if a better contract is offered, there is no point in leaving. Osimhen can leave, but the Georgian player seems determined not to leave Napoli

Currently PSG does need an attacking player who has above-average ability to score goals and osimhen may be the right solution for PSG next season, so far PSG's dependence on mbappe is too great so that losing mbappe actually affects the team greatly, although it is difficult to get rid of this dependence but I think osimhen will be able to be the right player to replace mbappe later, but in this case it should be Enrique also should not depend on Osimhen later and PSG must be able to play by relying on teamwork although Osimhen will be their mainstay next season, I don't see the possibility that Osimhen will experience a decline in form if he plays in Ligue 1 next season because before he moved to Napoli, Osimhen had played for Lille for 1 season so he will easily adapt to the game in Ligue 1 later, the Champions League trophy is PSG main target at the moment, but PSG still need a lot of improvement to be able to get it, in addition to having to balance the strength on every line, of course Enrique must also be able to improve PSG champion mentality in the Champions League because so far mentality has been the main problem of PSG in the Champions League.

Victor Osimhen is a player with good energy and strength and for his great performance for Napoli, he can still do better at PSG even if he doesn't can't play like Kylian Mbappé. The reason why PSG looks so empty now is because of their over reliance on Mbappé and they found it difficult without the France International footballer and if not that Kylian Mbappé needs to win the champions league to boost his profile and football career, PSG would have been the best club for him because he had no competitor but now that he's gone to Real Madrid and considering the fact that Real Madrid already has great players like Vinicius Jr, Jude Bellingham, Rodrigo and others so it will be very competitive for Kylian Mbappé at Madrid because before he will become more visible there he needs to play better than the already existing super stars which is going to be difficult because Real Madrid is already in good shape before Kylian Mbappé arrived.

However, for now Victor Osimhen should replace Mbappé at PSG only then will the club feel a bit relieved then they should also consider making other good signings to back up Victor Osimhen because only him can't be able to do the Job alone as Mbappé did, it's really gonna be a tough season for PSG but Luis Enrique should be well prepared for next season because it ain't gonna be easy.

We've often talked about Osimhen here but did you know that Joao Neves is also their target this summer?

As has been confirmed by Fabrizio Romano, Osimhen and Joao Neves really want to join PSG and starting next week PSG will start moving to have more serious talks for these two players.

I think PSG will spend a lot of money on these two players and maybe the amount will be more than 200 million euros. We know that Benfica has always been a business club and is not half-hearted when it comes to labeling its key players at exorbitant prices. Joao Neves' market value is 55 million euros and at least in the future Benfica will definitely increase it to 80 million euros or more, while Osimhen is likely to be more than 100 million euros, between 120 million euros and 130 million euros.

How do you see this transfer? Will there be more drama or will this time PSG pay whatever fee it wants?
PSG is usually known for their financial prowess in the whole of the French league and even across Europe, they aren't regarded as an average team not at any point or for any reason but then, the chase for this two players is obviously a really huge spending they are going to make, I don't know for sure of they are going to succeed with both deals but for daring to make moves both players, then possibly they have got the capacity because if they don't, they would have picked the best suited and go for.him at once, it will be such a formidable force having them both join PSG.
PSG should have no problem recruiting these two players if PSG really needs them. I know PSG is the club with the most ambition to bring in quality players even though they have high prices, but it seems that now PSG is starting to take issue with unreasonable prices, they are starting to negotiate at prices it's natural especially after they lost Mbappe and didn't get any profit even though PSG bought Mbappe very expensively at that time and this player should have been an investment like Neymar and Mesi but apparently not, sometimes other clubs take advantage of PSG's wealth so clubs offer high prices for him. So it is very natural that currently PSG is still considering bringing in expensive players.

It seems that these players are interested in joining PSG, so PSG just has to decide whether to buy these two players or not or choose to sacrifice some of their players to replace these players.

The new season is about to arrive, several clubs are already preparing their strength for next season. I want to see how far they are ready, especially those who always appear inconsistent. Let's look at Monaco for example, last season they managed to get out and were in second place, but in the previous season they experienced a decline so they dropped out of the top 4. Last season they were also inconsistent, but at the same time their competitors also did the same thing.

Next season I want to see them even better to provide competition. This is an opportunity for them, because the club that has been dominating is in trouble now, although it doesn't guarantee they will decline, but I see there is an opportunity open for a club like Monaco to take advantage of this momentum to win the Ligue 1 title. I hope they can provide something which is expected and allows us to see even more competitive competition in Ligue 1.
So far Monaco has been quiet without any movement in the summer and I doubt whether they can perform well again next season with the squad depth they have. Actually, I'm still quite optimistic if no parts are changed, but the problem is that now the competitors have started to improve with the arrival of several players who will change the course of the game.

So it is certain that Monaco will not be able to get second place again and will likely be knocked out of that position. I think it's quite unfortunate if they still hold the same beliefs and that sometimes boomerangs for them. It feels like this opportunity is just wishful thinking because PSG remains the dominator in Ligue One and last season alone the difference was around 10 points. Monaco should pay attention to other opponents if they still want to secure tickets to the Champions League

Kylian Mbappé's departure from PSG is creating a small crisis in the Paris project. Two seasons ago they started with Mbappé, Messi, and Neymar. Now they have to build a team without all three of those superstars. To restore its reputation next season, PSG plans to buy a series of high-caliber stars to compensate for Mpappe's departure.
But actually, if you look at the squad that PSG currently has, they are still able to dominate League One even without Mbappe. The reason is that the PSG squad is still stronger than the other teams in League One, except when talking about PSG in the UCL League, PSG will really feel Mbappe's departure, they will not be able to face big teams outside League One.

Quote
I think PSG should not include Victor Osimhen in this plan. Victor Osimhen I think is out of form and he cannot fill the void left by Kylian Mbappe. PSG should be ready to go all out to sign Barcelona superstar Lamine Yamal. Lamine Yamal made a strong impression last season. With age, Yamal could have the potential to reach the level of Lionel Messi.
Even though PSG has very strong finances, that doesn't mean they can recruit as many players as possible. Moreover, recruiting Barcelona's future superstar, Lamine Yamal, is absolutely impossible, especially as you said, he is still very young and has the potential to reach Messi's level. On the other hand, Lamine Yamal has high ambitions at a young age to chase as many trophies as possible. If he moves to PSG, his dream will be difficult to achieve. Apart from that, Barcelona will not give up its assets because Lamine Yamal is Barcelona's future. So the opportunity for the next PSG player to replace Mbappe only lies with player Victor Osimhen who will most likely be easy to get.

Tottenham Hotspur is elite and they've been competitive in previous season, it's obvious they don't have what it takes to win major titles and its a drought for no trophy accomplishments in the past decades. The Spurs headcoach, Ange Postecoglou really have to place his hands on some significant trophy as evidence of improvement on his side and the club. Seems we'll be looking at more shocking moves by these players that plays for the elite EPL sides. They're eager to to start afresh in new league and opening a new chapter of their career wouldn't be challenging.

Ange Postecoglou will rearrange his tactical formation leaving out some of his potential key men and expressed his interest to make more signings to step foot in replacement. Pierre-Emile Höjbjerge was regarded as one of the tough players in Tottenham, exiting moves would seem to be good choice for the Danish player. He's keen on leaving Tottenham Hotspur after all these years without lifting a trophy, the good ones still have potentials to explore their football career and Höjbjerg's happens to be one of these players in the picture.
Spurs being "good" is given, they have been like that forever. However, we need to make sure that we can't deal with something like this forever, we have to realize that things aren't always that easy to handle, things could be different sometimes. Spurs will never win anything, they are just not that good, even in a league that Leicester somehow won, we are not going to see Spurs ever win it, they are just not good enough. No matter who the manager is, no matter who the players are, no matter what the formation or the system could be, they are just not getting it.

The whole joke about them not having any cup at all, is a serious problem for them and anytime they get close to anything, they end up fumbling. Maybe an FA cup would fix all their issues, they would finally have one, but until then, they will not be good.

Hojberg knew this, and that is why he wanted to leave for Marseille, where he will at least have a chance to win the cup, or something, could be europa, basically he wanted to win something or at least play if he is not going to win anything. Not being played at a team that will not win anything is terrible, you may as well play if you are not going to win anything anyway.

PSG finances will make it very easy to find players who have above average scoring qualities. PSG reputation as a team that has dominated Ligue 1 will still be maintained even without Mbappe. Several names are starting to be prepared to build a new trio on their front line, Osimhen is the name most desired to be part of the PSG squad next season.

PSG does not have any difficulty bringing him in, currently they are still negotiating with Napoli to reach a further agreement. Lamine Yamal is also starting to get attention after impressing at the Euros. PSG immediately offered him a high price even though he was still very young, but PSG's desire to bring in Yamal was a little hampered because Barcelona didn't want to sell him and the player wanted to continue defending Barcelona.
Everyone knows PSG can afford Osimhen and other high talent. Lets consider the big picture. Does signing all the greatest players make Ligue 1 more competitive and exciting? Not always. Note the Lamine Yamal issue. This kid's talented. PSG wants him, but he wants Barcelona. Money speaks, but not everything. Passion and loyalty matter.

PSG's money policy appears to be shifting. First they pour €100 million at Osimhen, then €80 million. Are they spending wisely? Playing hardball? With the new Champions League format, they cant afford mistakes. This could be their turning point. PSG may dominate Ligue 1, but Europe is the real test. Lets see if their money can win the Champions League.

When you said PSG was planning to buy a series of stars it made me curious, because when you said that I thought it wasn't just about one player but at least more than two. Meanwhile, I think the star players or superstars in this era are at Real Madrid and maybe some are at Manchester City and some are at other teams such as Limine Yamal. Thus, I am curious, which other players do you mean by a series of high caliber stars because if it is only about Lamine Yamal, then I think that cannot be said about the series you mean.

Because, even though PSG can afford to buy Yamal at a high price, but I'm sure Barcelona won't sell him. But, if for example Yamal is in a mediocre team, then of course PSG will easily bring in Yamal. But because I'm sure Barcelona won't sell Yamal, then of course PSG's other option is to bring in Osimhen. But unfortunately, Osimhen's transfer is still hampered by the big of the price tag Napoli has made for Osimhen.

If we talk about the dominance of ligue 1 then we cannot deny that PSG will still remain a dominating team even though they continue to lose their star players so far, but the problem now that PSG has lost their last star player (Mbappe) and we don't see any other players who are worthy of being recruited by PSG at this time besides Osimhen,  there are indeed many reliable strikers in the European team but the majority of them all have high loyalty to their current club, so the only chance for PSG to get a worthy player to replace Mbappe at this time is Osimhen who has indeed stated that he wants to leave Napoli.

Negotiations on a price agreement are an obstacle that makes the current transfer of osimhen delayed, but as the transfer market is about to end, perhaps both parties will soon be able to complete the agreement, Currently, PSG and Napoli have run out of options because on the one hand there are no other good strikers available for PSG, while Napoli will find it difficult to find other clubs besides PSG who are willing to buy Osimhen at a high price at the moment,
Referring to the latest rumors, Osimhen has reportedly reached a personal agreement with PSG, it seems that the transfer saga will actually come true. The transfer is a good step to overcome Mbappe departure, and I think Osimhen can have an impact on PSG performance next season. Actually, PSG dominance in Ligue 1 will remain intact even if Osimhen fails to bring in, because Randal Kolo Muani and Goncalo Ramos still seem capable of making PSG front line productive. However, as we have often discussed, the signing of Osimhen aims to protect PSG greater interests, namely winning the Champions League trophy.

In French League 1, there will be no problems for PSG, they will still be champions, PSG is still the strongest among the clubs in French League 1, there is no denying its dominance, no one can beat it yet. Competitors: Monaco, Brest, LOSC, Nice, Lyon, Lens, Marseille, if you look at their transfer list so far, there is nothing convincing to be able to compete with PSG with tight competition. It is just. PSG's target is to return to the Champions League, which they have always dreamed of, to get to the final and win the UCL trophy. only, it won't be easy. Moreover, this season's UCL format is quite different from previous seasons, the matches and competition will be tougher.

Just in: PSG seems to have changed their mind regarding the bid they will submit to Osimhen. Previous rumors suggested that PSG might want to increase their bid to €100M, but based on recent news, PSG will not offer Osimhen more than €80M. Wow, this is quite exciting, the bargaining will go very smoothly again. Moreover, from Napoli's position, they also don't want to let Osimhen go if it is still less than €105-110M.

Source: JUST IN: PSG Report about Osimhen
I expected a moment like this to happen in Paris Saint Germaine's offer to sign Victor Osimhen this summer. Napoli without doubt wants a high fee before they can allow their star player leave the club but demanding a fee of 120-130 million pounds before they can allow him leave is probably to huge for the Nigeria striker. Now that Paris Saint Germaine have reduced their offer to 80 million pounds, I don't see them paying above 90 million pounds in the deal again. According to a recent statement from Napoli Boss Antonio Conte, it's obvious that the Italian Serie A club wants to let Osimhen leave this summer but what I don't understand is why they want to sell him with a high fee.
Paris Saint Germaine for a truth wants to get Kylian Mbappe's replacement but that wouldn't make them pay outrageous amount for a striker.

Crisis? You ain't kiddin', right?  I think this makes no sense just 'cause Mbappé left, then you said that PSG was in crisis. PSG has money, and a few strikers (Ramos & Kolo Muani) available to replace Mbappé's position. And again, i remind you with this.

PSG dominated the French league for over a decade. This was before Mbappe, Messi, and Neymar joined the club. Very weird to calll PSG is in the crisis without superstar players like Mbappe, Messi, and Neymar.

Losing Mbappe is nothing for PSG, and they can find a potential talent to be the next Mbappe.

PSG has attempted to approach Osimhen. But, they never intend to pay Osimhen more than 100 million euros. But if Napoli want to sell their striker (Osimhen) for about 100 million euros. PSG will be happy to pay it.

About Yamal, it's very clear that Barcelona has stated if they never intend to cash in him.

Osimhen to PSG and then Lukaku to Napoli, Napoli will make a lot of money by selling Osimhen to PSG.

Joao Neves is a potential young player, he's better play for Benfica and wait till there are English or Spanish's teams want to sign him, playing for PSG only make him to get Ligue 1 trophy, nothing more.

But, since Neves is the one who has interest to join PSG, I believe they both will join PSG, we're only waiting for the official announcement.
