PSG, are big money spenders but they should be wary lest they fall under the hammer of the FFP. Yes, signing big names aren’t bad but they could cause a worry for the team especially if they’re not managed properly or they end up signing the wrong players that doesn't match the teams standard.

 Well sometimes, big names requires some special sort of management so as to be able to achieve success and this could be likened to PSG's past squad with names but yet were nothing when at the big Europe stage. Luis is quite good but I think he needs to build his own squad so as to achieve massive success. Winning the UCL ain’t one big deal as he can achieve that same way he did at Barcelona but he needs all trust and confidence from the board so as to build his own squad and win the necessary trophies.

Miracles exists but people that will have miracle will still be having doubts on that which they’ve had miracle on before because of the nature of the situation. PSG where not able to win the champions league when they had star players like Neymar, Messi and Mbappe in one team, why then now? They are doing well in the ligue 1 and that have given them an advantage over other teams in the league. But their performance in the league is not what is been replicated in the champions league. They need to replicate that if they want to go far in this season’s champions league. But just by miracles, I doubt if it will work for them and work in their favour.

Lyon having signs of improvement in their overall condition compared to the initial weeks of the season. One positive aspect is that Lyon seems to be attempting changes or adjustments in their approach. The fact that they are trying different strategies indicates a proactive approach towards addressing their issues. The mid-season point is a critical juncture, and Lyon still has time to turn things around. It's noteworthy that they are not too late to make a meaningful impact on their position in the Ligue 1 standings. To secure a safer position, Lyon needs to consistently build on their recent improvements and work towards a more stable form.

The fact that there's yet to be a team that can contend PSG head on and possibly win is also a great factor to the contribution of the Ligue 1 been boring and aswell always dominated by PSG and that has in a way not given that league the kind of attention it should get as an elite league because it's outcome is always almost very predictable.

If another team could come up some dat or possibly this season to put up a perfect challenge against PSG, there will be a reawakening of other teams trying to definitely get to that point aswell because the reluctance of every other teams keeps staying amongst them and strengthen PSG such that they now know they can win the Ligue 1 almost at anytime they want ,last few seasons when the weren't able to win the Ligue 1, it was observed that se feel of competitiveness was found in the league because other teams had to struggle to maintain a good position ahead of PSG sine they showed some weakness that season.

Le Havre shouldn't have been the team to break Lyon's winning streak but here we are. It was even a disappointing defeat like 3-1. Lyon are trying something recently but it doesn't last much long I'm afraid. At least their condition is better than the first weeks. Their number of points was really low before which was making things more difficult for Lyon to fight to be out of the relegation zone.

We are in the middle of the season now. They aren't late for anything. However they had better improve their form more to reach a safer position. No matter what the problem behind is Lyon should be able to stay in the Ligue 1 one way or another. 

Lyon consistency in the previous three matches in December failed to continue, Lyon was tripped up again by Le Havre at the start of their campaign in the second half of the season. In the 18 matches played, Lyon was only able to achieve 4 wins, 4 draws and 10 defeats. Lyon automatically occupies 16th position in the standings, which means they are on the relegation play off route, the difference between the number of goals scored and Metz who are in the same level by collecting the same number of points, namely 16 points. The hope of getting up and moving away from the red zone gained had time momentum, one of which was when they managed to beat Monaco in Week 16.

I no longer understand why Lyon is so down this season, even though the signs have been visible from previous seasons, but personally I don't imagine that Lyon will be in the relegation zone for half a season. Their movements in the January transfer window were also not very active, if I'm not mistaken by referring to transfermarkt records, Lyon brought in 3 new players for three different positions. I hope they can improve in the future, at least they can stay in Ligue 1 by escaping the threat of relegation, otherwise Lyon has nothing to be proud of this season.

As a club that once achieved glory and dominated Ligue 1, Lyon has now turned into a mediocre club. Where Lyon is now used as a points barn for other Ligue 1 teams, this is no longer about the ups and downs of performance, but rather a storm of destruction. I think that in their future matches against Rennes, Marseille and Montpellier, they also have the potential to lose points. The players mentality is very poor, the club finances do not support building a squad that can have competitive value, it would not be surprising if next season we don't see Lyon in Ligue 1. That is the true fact, even though at the beginning we hope for the best for them in the future.

Nice is not yet convincing enough to catch up with PSG, which currently has a difference of 8 points. I don't think Nice is trivial, but PSG is indeed a super power team compared to the teams you mentioned. So it's no wonder that this season PSG will win Ligue 1 easily again.

Correct. It could be that for Mbappe, this will be his last year with PSG because rumors are growing that he will leave after this season finishes. Of course PSG fans want to see that before Mbappe leaves, PSG must win the UCL League. Even though PSG are not currently favorites, there is no harm in hoping that a miracle will come for PSG this season.

In several previous posts, I have reviewed a little about the team that is ranked 2nd in the Ligue 1 standings. Yes, the Nice team squad, this is the team we are discussing in this post. I don't want to say that Nice is a strong team, but they have been fortunate to have a pretty solid defense so far. That's why, Nice is the team that has conceded the fewest goals in its 18 matches and the team that has scored the fewest goals compared to the teams in the top four of the standings. well, now Nice is 8 points behind PSG. Plus, Nice's defeat against Rennes seems to be starting to make this team a little loose. Thus, Nice has experienced 3 defeats in 18 matches. Meanwhile, PSG is a little more relaxed at the top of the Ligue 1 standings.

Talking about Nice's match against Metz, they should be able to maximize their chances of getting full points. At least, Nice maintains its ranking in 2nd place. because if they only get minor points, it means AS Monaco can overtake the ranking they currently occupy. But don't expect that Nice will be able to score a lot of goals. We'll see if Nice can maintain its position against Metz. or, AS Monaco will take over even though their opponent is Marseille. So, let's just wait for this week's match to take place.

yes PSG dominates the league. no one will be able to catch up with the current point difference. and they will play more comfortably now in the league and will be very focused on the Champions League.
It is also important to note that PSG is very productive in scoring goals. This season in Ligue 1 he has scored 19 goals. and it will not be overtaken by its competitors.
Last season we could see that Lens might be competing quite closely. but this season PSG has nothing to stop them.

If there are many people who say Mbappe is currently in the wrong league, this should have been said long ago. Because Ligue1 is not as famous as other leagues such as in England and Italy, but at least Mbappe is already known to many people through Ligue1 and still has time to move to another league if he really wants it this season or the next season. I believe that the best thing we could do regarding this situation would be just making sure that we are dealing with a normal problem in the end. I get it, it is not that simple, and I get that you are not going to get it all, but you have to realize that it is not going to be all that easy for people to figure things out. PSG is just too good for anyone.

I think it is time for PSG to change their transfer policy, because it has the potential to violate the FFP and is at risk of possible sanctions, if continues to buy players at high prices. Building a squad filled with star players does increase the bargaining value of winning trophies, but if it is not managed by the right people and supported at the right time it is the same as zero, we have seen the lineup that PSG has built containing Mbappe, Messi and Neymar on the front lines. In fact, almost every line they had was filled with big names, but in the end they failed to achieve success in Europe.

Luis Enrique has the ability to present the Champions League trophy to PSG, and this has been proven in his previous period with Barcelona. I also believe that Enrique can do it again with PSG if he is trusted in a long term project. We know that winning this trophy is not easy, that's why PSG management must give Enrique time to build a squad that has the mentality of winning in Europe, like Pep Guardiola at Manchester City.

This needs to be done if PSG wants the long-term project there to run well because buying star players will actually make the finances and the team not much better and even fail in the Champions League. Luis Enrique will rebuild the PSG squad to be stronger and it may take him time. If you look at the abilities of previous coaches, I am much more confident that Luis Enrique will succeed in bringing PSG to become one of the clubs to be reckoned with in Europe.

Even though when it comes to the club's finances, they will never have problems because the owner is very rich, but to build a stronger squad, that is not a factor that needs to be taken into consideration. Give Luis Enrique time and bring in the players he needs and I'm sure he will succeed in making PSG better.

Last season, Lens was the second most consistent team in the French Ligue 1 and I expected them to even go step better than their finish in the league last season by winning the league title this season but disappointingly, they've failed to be as strong and competitive as they were last season.
Their defeat at home to Paris Saint Germaine during the weekend was expected by many and even bookmakers had already predicted a Paris Saint Germaine win in that particular encounter. The penalty incident in that game I think was a clear penalty but had it been converted, I still think the French champions were gonna take all three points from that game. Anyone who's been following up the performance of Paris Saint Germaine recently will attest the the fact that they've been ruthless in their games especially in the league and I that's why I never expected anything less than a win for them against Lens.

Lyon lost this match against Le Havre but still things are looking much better after having the worst start of their season, and now they are going to have another challenging match against Rennes which is doing good even they are also having troubling time but with currently mostly French clubs are lacking of quality and consistency we can expect good performance from these both sides in this coming game Le Havre which is newly promoted side but their performance and quality allowing them to stay into middle of the league table already having good time as they beat Nice few weeks back and now win against Lyon give them good confident.

There is no doubt with the absence of these defenders they can suffer which will create more problems for them in coming matches while they are trying hard to jump out of the relegation zone and staying into middle of the league table.

Yes I agree with what you said. That penalty changed everything. Moreover, it was a penalty 10 minutes into the first half. If it becomes a goal then Lens' confidence will increase. The game may be a little different because the Lens players can play without pressure because they have led the goal. It was really the penalty that decided everything. It's not like a penalty in the final minutes of a match or when you're already leading the score. It was truly a penalty that decided the course of the match. Actually, I hope it becomes a goal because it looks like it would be very interesting to watch. 

It's a shame of course, because at least Lyon also managed to have a winning streak before but unfortunately, the break in the season seems to have had a bad impact too . Because after all,basically Le Havre is also only a promotion team and of course, because Lyon managed get a win streak, at least Lyon still has a chance to be able to beat Le Havre in the match . But ya,because Le Havre managed to score first then it seems enough to make Lyon get pressure and therefore, instead of replying to the goal but what happened Lyon got a red card.

Of course, with the advantage in the number of players, then Le Havre who played at home became more confident until finally, the final score still made Le Havre get three good points in this home match . But ya,even though in this match Lyon lost but ya, at least there are still many chances for Lyon to get out of the relegation zone.

The gap was too big for other team to be the same like PSG. Im not saying that's impossible but let's talk about the fact if PSG has very big valuation while other clubs don't even have a half of billion as their valuation. It makes the competition being dominated by PSG and this is the main problem. PSG will always be dominating this league like bayern munich in bundesliga which has been doing it for more than 1 decade.

True and french league needs to have other richest owner who can compete with the owner of PSG. I hope that there will be a saudi investors to join in the french league. This measure will contribute to enhancing the league's competitiveness, resulting in a higher level of competition compared to the past. French league will always be the same as this if there will be no other big investors to come in.

But the penalty 8 minutes into the match doesn't take into account that PSG could switch gears and play even harder if necessary. The issue is that they don't have to do it. But this doesn't mean they can save hard work for a whole season in Ligue 1, it only means that they never get challenged and are then overwhelmed when they play in the Champions League.

Mbappe's finishes are quite often superb, but he is in the wrong league.

Currently, in Ligue 1 no team is capable of giving any challenge to PSG because they are consistent and having enough quality which is keeping them at the top Nice is suffering badly in last few matches with having 3 defeats in 5 games and their attack is also not good which can help them for having better result to challenge PSG, Monaco is also suffering and having 2 defeats with now their next game is against Marseille which is doing their best for the better spot, but quality is not good as we need these all teams are helpful for the PSG dominance because no one investing for quality players and having nothing positive.

PSG is having the richest owners which love this club and soccer so they are doing good job for this club and having ideal results with their desire for the Champions League is still on but can fill if they will give some good time to any coach.
