Since they already got a striker, I think they already made arrangements for him to leave and they can be a good team without him as well. Lets be honest here, are they good enough with the current roster to win the title without him? Yes they are, and did they win the UCL title with him? No they did not. So worst case scenario they will win the title of ligue 1 like they always do, and they are not going to end up winning UCL like usual.
So, it is going to be possible for them to keep Mbappe sidelined for all season long. In all his plan to get paid for one more year before he leaves for Real, the only flaw in his logic was he didn't believe they could actually not even put his name on the list, and PSG proved how far they can go if they mean this.
I would appreciate if PSG does it. I have no issues with Mbappe and I am certainly one of those people who like to watch him play and see how genius he is, but everything has its limits even for him. I am sure that if this is what PSG intends, you are totally right that Mbappe did not expect PSG to cross him off the official first team.
I am not familiar with the contracts and what PSG is allowed to do and what they are not allowed to do, but could they force him to play for a second team or to go to the training sessions on a daily basis and never bring him on? But he could probably counter decisions like that by simulating an injury, some mental issues that nobody can prove.
This is turning into a cinema movie if it keeps going like this. Time to get the popcorn out. But how must Enrique feel when he becomes the coach of PSG, Mbappe stays for one more year and he can't even let him play? This is all wrong but Mbappe is to blame.
