PSG host Lens and the result of this match is very important for both teams. There is a six-point gap between the two teams and it will either increase or decrease with this match. It is a match that will perhaps decide the fate of the league. For this reason, I think all teams will focus on this match. The result of this match will also be important for Marseille and Monaco. They are the teams competing for 2nd place.

The Paris Saint Germain vs Lens match is the 31st match in the French 1 League
It becomes interest because the two best teams in the league will play a match that will determine the fate of the league. Paris Saint Germain as the host and defend champions of League One will perform optimally because this is the last competition they have the potential to win.

You are objectively right, but PSG are not going to give away the title this season, are they? Even though they don't play great at all and have suffered many defeats before them. I am somewhat surprised that the difference between PSG and Lens is only 6 points. Difference with Marseille behind is 2 points, but Marseilla has a strong team and is also responsible for the elimination in the cup in France. I also don't think PSG is making much effort in the competition, there is little challenge. It is of course great for a club like Lens if they succeed in qualifying for the CL next season. But a lot can still go wrong in a few games, also for PSG.

I won't be surprised at all if I see PSG lose this game against Lens both teams are on top of the table and Lens should itself in this game by winning this important match against PSG and if they somehow beat PSG the gap between these two teams can be decreased to three points which can put PSG in danger.

On the contrary, I am quite sure that PSG will return to winning ways. IMO, PSG's current problem is their weak mentality. even without Neymar, it shouldn't be a problem for PSG in this competition. from my point of view, the weak point of PSG's players is in the midfielders. I don't know for sure, but it seems that there is turmoil going on within the bodies of the PSG players. in particular, after they were knocked out in the Champions league. the impact was quite visible when PSG carried out their matches in the domestic league. however, they should be able to handle it professionally. yes, Galtier's job is to make sure his team wins the Ligue 1 trophy. plus, raise the spirit and mentality of the team.

Talking about the match against Lens next week. should, PSG can handle it. apart from them being superior in terms of the quality of play, PSG has the advantage of playing at their own base. so, there are no other words besides PSG having to prove and defeat Lens in this week's match.

Psg will not allow Lenz to have a win against them. The best result of Lenz in that match will be draw. If you check very well 6 points difference is not large enough, if Lenz closes it to 3 points, this will force pressure on the PSG team.
From the other Angle, if Lenz losses tonight, it will give Marseille a chance of catching up with Lenz at the first position. So, it will be a tough display between the two clubs.
Playing as a guest team will not discourage Lens from being able to achieve the best results in this match, especially now that Paris Saint Germain are in a phase where they cannot be optimal in the last few matches they have played. On the other hand, Paris Saint Germain also won't want to just let go of points in this match, because that will really threaten their position. The match will be interesting.

Also if PSG lose this game then I don’t expect their board to wait till the summer transfer window to fire their current head coach, but if PSG wins this game then PSG head coach job will definitely be secured at least for a while.

There have been no rumors of dismissal. I think sacking the coach at the end of the competition is not very good. I think the current PSG coach is in capable enough to win the league.

They should have won easily. Currently PSG are only concentrating on Ligue 1. They should have that advantage to keep performing well, so there will be no reason to lose. Indeed, the facts on the field are sometimes different from the player's statistics. If they lose again, it will make it even more difficult for them. At the moment they only have a six-point gap and that should be kept from dropping the next point.

Then I saw Lens this season was very good. Although indeed they are still under PSG. If they stay until the end of the season then they will ruin the bad record. They will again be able to enter the UCL Group stage next season.

I personally would be surprised as Lens already beat 3-1 PSG in the first stint of the season and at that game Paris did play really badly. Now in this game they have two things in mind, first of all that if they win this game then they close definitely the title fight and they will be already Champions of Ligue 1 despite not mathematically yet but we all know that this game is a final and secondly they want revenge for that poor performance they had in the first game against Lens where they lost.

If the odds are good which I think they should be then I think this is free money to win during this weekend.

@Leviathan.007 I believe that this will be an entertaining clash as both the team’s would like to make a statement by winning this fixture, and despite PSG super stars squad I too believe that they can be beaten. Monaco is still stuck in 4th place in the standings after only getting a draw against Nantes in the previous game. If we go back to the last 5 matches that Monaco have played, they actually achieved not good results with 2 wins, 2 draws and 1 loss. They failed to collect 15 additional points and only collected 8 additional points from the results of the match. Now their chance to shift Marseille is closer to 3 points because even Marseille in the previous match also won a draw. I think the competition for the champions league zone is still quite fierce at the end of the season.

Yes, it's a shame that Monaco couldn't maintain the victory they had won at half time with a score of 0-2. In fact, I think a score like that is enough to make Monaco's position safe in that match and also, statistically Monaco in the second half isn't bad either.

So yes, I think Monaco is unlucky in this match because if I look at their head to head then they often get a draw too. But still, Monaco has a high dominance of wins when they play against Nantes, so at this moment I think Monaco is unlucky.
That's right, the word unlucky is clearly spelled out for the results achieved by Monaco and I hope that in the next match they are able to maintain their advantage so they can win the game. Speaking of Monaco, their next opponent is Lorient and in head to head these two teams also often get draws, maybe if this time Monaco fails to secure 3 points then they will reap another draw. That makes it more difficult for Monaco to stay in 4th place in the standings because it will be easier for Lille to chase.

Messi isn't the only person bearing the blames. Neymar and Mbappe are also doing the same. More blames will be coming because myself I also blame them. Messi's case is different, this is because, at his age, we ain't expecting many extraordinary things from him like He always does when in Barcelona. Secondly,  Messi is doing his best to make sure that his younger stars/ Colleagues ( Mbappe and Neymar) receive enough assistance and supports that they deserve from him, with this, much is done by Messi but little will be seen. So as a significant figure, you can't escape such blames.
PSG win and lose as a team and no single person should be blamed for their success or failure in a season. Messi, Neymar, Mbappe are their attacking players who are mostly responsible to score goals for PSG and partially contribute to their winning chance. However they are not god and can not bring PSG to winning in all matches if they don't have support from midfielders and defenders.

In return, midfielders and defenders need support and contributions from those players in defensive efforts which will help them to reduce pressure on their defense system and goalkeeper. Generally, their players must do attacking or defensive task as a whole team not as a single player.

I think it is purely a desire for him to go and not because of competition or anything else because Lionel Messi has won every title in his football career. messi is often associated with mbappe and they are often compared unfairly in comparing the qualities of the two. I even think it's lucky for Mbappe to have the experience of playing with a football legend in mastering all the ways and forms in terms of the qualities that Lionel Messi has.
Messi looks to obsessed with his ambition to win another and last Champions League in his career. Beyond that, he has nothing more to want and it is not bad if he leaves Europe and move to Saudi Arabia to enjoy very last seasons in his career but be able to fill up his pocket with hundreds of million dollar.

Quote
I think Barcelona will make every effort to repatriate Lionel Messi, especially the option of selling players that they will carry out in the transfer season window to balance their expenses.
Chance to win Champions League with Barcelona is small and they are not able to pay high salary for Messi. It pluses with bad treatment they gave to Messi two years ago, they will not have chance to convince him to return.
Indeed! we can't pin PSG's seasonal wins or losses on just one individual. Soccer is a team effort, and everybody's gotta bring something to the table to chase that collective dream. Sure, Messi, Neymar, and Mbappe are the offensive heavyweights tasked with scoring, but they can't carry the team solo. They need backup from the midfielders and defenders, who, in turn, need the attackers to pitch in on defense.

But, I'm also feeling mad antsy and fired up that PSG hasn't snagged the Champions League trophy yet. They've got a killer lineup, but they're missin that victorious mindset when the Champions League pressure's on. As a sage sports fanatic, I reckon PSG needs a top-notch coach to steer them to the promised land. A Tuchel, Ancelotti, or Guardiola type could be the game-changer that turns their dreams into reality. PSG's got the chops to conquer the Champion League. They just need the right inspiration and leadership.

I wasn't expecting Marseille to have this much difficulty against Lorient. They could have been much more effective when it comes to finding the target. They had so many goal attempts but only two of them were on target. This is really a horrible performance by Marseille honestly. Lorient were much better about this statistics despite Marseille's overwhelming ball possession percentage.
Marseille should be just grateful for Lorient not winning this game. Because it seemed like a winnable one for Lorient here. Marseille are still not quite consistent and this helped Lens a lot to keep a nice gap with them in the standings.
It's another one that plays into the hands of PSG. Imagine Olympique Marseille wouldn't have tied three out of the last five games. Then Ligue 1 would still be exciting to follow. Now it all comes down to whether or not Lens can keep up the pressure and win their games. PSG is making mistakes from time to time this season, but with the number of games left decreasing it becomes more unlikely that PSG will tumble on more than two occasions.
It comes down anyway to the showdown on the coming weekend between Lens and PSG. If PSG wins it, the season is over. If Lens can secure a win it will be a lot of fun to see whether PSG really somehow loses the Ligue 1 title. Hard to imagine, but I would enjoy it! Cheesy

PSG is only 6 points ahead of Lens. And so for PSG, every upcoming match is very important. And since Lens is now PSG's main rival for the title. So PSG must win against Lens.
However, PSG's past record against Lens is not good. The PSG team could not win against Lens in the last three matches. Even in the last away match PSG team lost 3-1 against Lens. And they have drawn their previous 2 matches. So there is no reason to think that PSG is too strong against Lens. There is no doubt that the match will be very competitive. And PSG's dominance will only look unlikely. There is no wonder if PSG lost.

The record doesn't matter. I will never understand why people fall back onto events that happened in the past in order to predict the future. The set up this season is totally different from those before this one. Lens has a unique chance to cut the distance by three points and actually make it three points between them and PSG should they win the game.

If that happens, although I don't expect it, PSG is really going to feel some pressure again. Who would have thought that a team with Neymar, Messi and Mbappe would have to fear to lose the Ligue 1 championship at some point during the season? Cheesy I didn't to be honest and it should have never happened in the first place. Gaultier is not the right coach and Ligue 1 is not the right place for guys like the three I mentioned.

On the other hand, sacrificing Gavi with promising long-term prospects for Messi, who is nearing the end of his career, is not worth it.
Chelsea is a club that is very interested in Gavi. This made Chelsea take advantage of the situation in Barcelona. but Barca must think very well. they need quality from young players. I don't think Messi will make Barca any better with his age. it's not a matter of skill, Messi has incredible skills. but with his age, I think it can affect the quality of his game.
Messi has a problem with PSG fans. it's not good for the mentality of playing Messi for PSG. fans like to keep blaming Messi for being knocked out of the Champions League, and that makes their treatment not friendly to Messi.

Messi's current condition is being hit by some unfavorable news at PSG, which of course is used as a momentum to return to raising attention to news like this.
Regardless of what it ends up like, in this case I'm not the one who cares whether he will return to Barcelona or not, it's just that even Messi and Barcelona have the same interest, so what? there needs to be a clear reason to bring Messi back and I don't think performance is something to justify in this case.

When there are many demands from fans or other parties who have connections with the club, the players will be pressured and their focus will be increasingly broken so that they cannot give the best form of play on the field. The demands from fans due to PSG failure in the Champions League are reasonable because in history they have never won the UCL trophy.

Actually PSG is already at the best point to win the Champions League. The composition of the players they have is above average, but they don't have enough mentality with the atmosphere of the Champions League, when dealing with other elite clubs they often experience defeats which make them have to go home sooner than planned. In the domestic league, there is no doubt about PSG's quality, they always dominate Ligue 1 almost every year, but when they go to the Champions League, PSG doesn't seem to have a winning mentality there.
I think PSG need the support of a quality coach to win the Champions League, like Zidane, Luis Enrique or if necessary they have to hijack Guardiola from Manchester City to make their dreams come true.

Barcelona want to signing Lionel Messi?  Grin Grin, they don't have enough money and Messi offering fantastic salary with PSG how possibility to signing Lionel Messi without having huge money?
That's why barcelona intentionally selling some of its players in summer.

Quote
That the Catalans will have to make big sales at the end of the season is no secret. They have been warned by La Liga president Javier Tebas that €200 million ($212.5 million) must be wiped off the wage bill to balance Financial Fair Play (FFP), and the Spanish top flight chief told the media last week that they can't make new signings for 2023/2024 as is.
https://www.forbes.com/sites/tomsanderson/2023/03/07/six-players-fc-barcelona-will-reportedly-try-to-sell-this-summer/?sh=70b6513f160b

There are some names that are already labeled as players that will be sold to the other club like fati, torres, garcia raphinha and many more. Gavi may also be leaving barcelona in the summer too. I guess that the money was raised from selling so many players will be also used to sign messi back again to the barcelona. That's why messi must be patient and it seems like that barcelona seriously wanna try to sign messi back again but i don't even know when it will be happening. It's probably in the summer.

After joining PSC, Lionel Messi did not get the same support as the rest of the players supported him when he was in the Barcelona team. As a result, Lionel Messi is failing to give PSG something extraordinary. But I will blame the coach of the team for the bad condition of the team.
Messi's role at PSG is clearly very different from that of Barcelona because in this team he is a supporter for his colleagues like Neymar and Mbappe to score goals and it is different when he is at Barcelona because he is a pillar. But even though at the moment his role is different, these 2 seasons he has always done his best and of course for Messi's age adapting to the role of this new club can be said to be very great.

There is something that has always bothered me here in the big teams, and that is that they turn their backs on players like Messi, CR7, when their teams are doing badly they believe that the culprits are the famous players, so they took Messi out for the back door at Barcelona and now PSG treats Messi badly, in the case of the Parque de los Príncipes it is something that they should not do to Messi, something very bad and that is bad custom, they always blame players like these.
Things like this have to be reduced a little because in this case football matches are not only played by one player and blaming star players as you said which still happens often is just an excuse for them not to look bad when in fact it is precisely things like that that make them getting worse.
Believe it or not, what you say about blaming players like Messi and Ronaldo is still often heard today.

I don't think competitor between Lionel Messi and Mbappe because before Messi move to PSG already have Neymar can working well as team with Mbappe. I think so serious when saying about Mbappe and Lionel Messi as competitor in PSG and one of them have leave in this season how to make conducive team. Lionel Messi not extended contract with PSG not competitor reason but he has financial problem still not accepted by PSG and higher salary offering become main problem why two months contract expiry and Lionel Messi still not announce yet for extending contract.
