Russia is offering free land for anyone (i.e individuals who are holding the Russian passport) who is willing to move to Siberia. A plot amounting to 2.5 acres will be given, once the individual confirms his desire to move to Siberia. For noobs, Siberia is not 100% covered by the permafrost. Some of the Siberian provinces (such as Altay and Omsk) are being considered among the most fertile regions within the RF.

With all doom and gloom posts, I felt there is a need to balance, to bring some positivity. I'll start this thread with some good news from Russia in general and Moscow in particular, but everyone is welcome to add info and pictures about festivities or positively-charged events from any corner of the world. And if anyone tries some negativity, they'll be happily ignored. 
Yesterday saw the start of a two-day festivity, dedicated to the Day of Moscow. The festivities took place on the Beautiful Square and continued on various venues throughout the city.
