Well, if the story is like you have said, then I must say that you have really come a long way in the crypto space, and it's really a wise decision you took to take a pause from trading and hold more. There is always a saying that "you won't make a whole lot of profit if you are only trading Bitcoin for a short-term profit." Some traders invest all their money into trading, and they steadily experience losses. I know of a few friends who started forex trading with a large amount of money, but they all blew their accounts. Generally, every investment has risk, but trading Bitcoin is more risky than holding. It is better you have decided to hold on because you will be more concentrated on accumulating more.

As you want to embark on the journey of "holding"  I hope you have other means of income. when you are not financially stable holding will make you sell your Bitcoin at a low price when there is a price drop. For you not to have negative thoughts about Bitcoin make sure you are ready to hold before you start the journey.

It is better to know the rules and regulations of where you are to enable you to be there for a long time. I advised you to go through the Beginners and Help link provided to you above.

Nice to e-meet you all !
For privacy and security reasons, you don't need to tell the forum and its members where you are from or your real name; no one really needs it here.
Let me believe that you quoted the wrong line. And regarding the introduction, Spyros from Athens in Greece can't bite, there is no privacy leak whatsoever in a general name in a city, and the author was still wise enough to limit it to that.

I guess it's not too late for you to invest in crypto or at least bitcoin for that matter. Yeah, maybe majority of us started our crypto in the early years, ignored it and then comeback later as bitcoin became mainstream.

Just remember though that in holding, it will be a big test to us, because you really need to be mentally strong as it will not be easy. You might see the price goes down and might think of selling, or you might be tempted.

Hey, I am Spyros and I am from Athens, Greece.

In the fast-paced world of cryptocurrency, my journey has been a rollercoaster ride that began nearly a decade ago, in 2013. Back then, Bitcoin was still a relatively obscure concept, and the crypto landscape was vastly different from what it is today. Little did I know that my relationship with digital assets would evolve from active trading to a long-term commitment that now shapes my vision for the future.

My crypto journey kicked off with a modest investment and a sense of curiosity that was hard to quell. The allure of rapid price movements and the promise of financial independence lured me into the world of crypto trading. I vividly remember my early days, monitoring price charts day and night, navigating the uncharted waters of altcoins, and speculating on every piece of news.

In those early years, my trading journey was marked by moments of elation and despair. I rode the waves of excitement during bull markets, watching my portfolio surge to new heights, only to witness gut-wrenching drops during inevitable market corrections. Trading became a full-time endeavor, consuming my time and emotions as I tried to decipher the intricate patterns of the crypto market.

As the years passed, I learned the hard way that trading in this volatile space could be as unpredictable as a storm at sea. I experienced both the exhilaration of gains and the bitterness of losses. It was a baptism by fire, a period that forged me into a more resilient and cautious trader.

However, in the summer of 2017, the crypto world underwent a transformation. Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies began to capture mainstream attention. This newfound popularity brought both immense opportunity and heightened risk. It was during this time that I experienced one of my most significant lessons in crypto trading.

After a series of losses that left me emotionally drained and financially strained, I had an epiphany: perhaps my approach needed a shift. I decided to pivot away from the world of constant trading and instead embrace the philosophy of "hodling."

Hodling, a term derived from a humorous misspelling of "holding," represents the act of buying and holding onto cryptocurrencies for the long term, regardless of short-term market fluctuations. I realized that this strategy aligned more with my personal goals and risk tolerance.

In start of 2023 ( after 10 years !!! ) , I began accumulating cryptocurrencies with the intent of holding them securely for the long hold. I invested in a cold wallet, a hardware wallet renowned for its security features. This move marked a significant shift in my crypto journey, from an active trader to a dedicated hodler.

Since then, my strategy has focused on accumulating and preserving wealth for the future, rather than chasing quick profits. I've weathered market downturns with a calm perspective, confident in the belief that the crypto revolution is still in its infancy.

Today, as I reflect on my crypto odyssey spanning nearly a decade, I'm filled with gratitude for the lessons learned and the resilience gained. My Ledger wallet holds the keys to my financial future, and I embrace the long-term potential of blockchain technology to reshape the world of finance. My journey from trader to hodler has become a testament to the wisdom of patience and the power of conviction in a world as dynamic and unpredictable as cryptocurrency.

My main job is digital marketing , develpoment and exchange crypto online or landbased....

Nice to e-meet you all !
