t — who's paying that fee? I've just sent ~ 500 coins to an exchange and was charged the usual 0.0002 or something..

it was payed manually (you can set for example a default fee of 1 FRESH coin in your wallet)
But you're right. It will kick in at 16:00 GMT.

my goodness its so fresh

A new algo in the market X17, but nothing new to offer than it's counterpart like X13 and X15, just an attempt to look different.

Fresh algo is 20%  more power efficient than x13 and x15 and it' confirmed.

Good news: The 1% transaction fee system is kicking in and the fees are added to the block rewards (look at https://fresh.suprnova.cc/index.php?page=statistics&action=blocks)
400 blocks to go for the 1000 block reward! Get your miners ready!
I don't get it — who's paying that fee? I've just sent ~ 500 coins to an exchange and was charged the usual 0.0002 or something..

I'm very sorry for this, but if you do have transactions being stuck / unconfirmed:

Backup your current freshcoin wallet.dat file.

Open the debug  window -> console

Code:
listaddressgroupings

For every address you want the private key from, dump it:

Code:
dumpprivkey

save all the dumprivkey addresses in notepad.

remove (or rename) the complete appdata freshcoin directory

restart the wallet and let it sync

Open the debug  window -> console

Code:
importprivkey
for all the generated private keys

exit the wallet

remove everything except the wallet.dat

start the wallet, let it sync and all should be fine again.

I wrote two tiny scripts recently to recover transactions from wallets after forked block chains - same process.

Reinstalled this wallet so many times wiping appdata and all its insane.  Clock is right still the wallet just sits until the next block is done then the next (most recent blocks) never says synced.  Had it say it one time and after that never again.  Bout to auction my wallet.dat file currently with 100+ coins in it...

delete the freshcoin.conf file (or delete the addnode entries in it)

Hold your transactions please. Wallet v1.2.0 can cause a transaction to be very slow / stays unconfirmed.
recompiling 1.2.0 with the fix as we speak.

I will add a guide how to undo the unconfirmed transactions.

ICO? Not even once.
I'm having a hard time following the implications of your minimum fee code, since you gave no explanation in neither commit messages, nor code comments. Could you describe your changes in some way?

Also, you do realize that if miners do not adopt this "mandatory" but not forking update, then the updated wallet will send out transactions that will never be put into a block (because old wallets miners use will see the new transactions as not having proper fees), or at least will most likely cause transactions to be delayed

I'm curious about this.
