Bitcoin is far from dead but the scaling problem need s agood kick up the ass and needs fixing. Bitcoin has to become people friendly and used more and more commonly by everyone if it is to really bring about huge change in the world. It already is having an impact on many people's lives and blockchain technology itself is finding a use in both business and civil areas. Bitcoin is not dead but it sure needs a good face lift and detox from constipated mempools and block transactions.

Yes till now,Bitcoin has died more than 100 times.Lots of obituary notices of bitcoin through out media.I think the obituary notice of these people would come much before bitcoin's.Bitcoin would survive long.There are many people who have thought that bitcoin would die but their prediction has failed. And today when the pending blockchain transactions are present in the mempool have reached to around 200k plus the topic that bitcoin is dead was once a hot topic. Yes, bitcoin right now has a large and huge population. Its not that easy to kill bitcoin. Its very to kill it especially when there are going to fight for it.

I've started watching it last quarter of 2016 and the growth was ridiculously huge, even when you take into consideration the mini plunges.
