One of the best excuse is the devs need time and the coin will moon when xxxx is launched. After that, it would either take a long time for the thing to be launched or the news does not have any effect on the price of the altcoin. I have seen in a few cases where the price of the altcoin drops when people sell when the news is released.
You yourself confess in the signature that you donate FUD to the society, so that doesn't count as a defense retort.
