That's a great achievement on your part OP. Ranking up is indeed an overwhelming feeling knowing that you earned it out of hardship from posting quality and helpful post. I did review your posts though mostly its on your local it seems you give some knowledgeable post cause you got a lots of merits. Dont change your pace and in no time you could rank up to senior member but always remember where you came and dont be boastful like other high rank who forgot this after they achieved something.

I remember plvbobo, the one from bitcointalk anniversary art contest that motivates me allot in terms of submitting a nice and vakuable artwork dedicated for the aniversary, he's the one who first believe in my capability to make it happen so I strived and work hard and basically, achived the full member rank ahead of him. Without this kind of inspirational post, we won't be motivated to continue further to be serious and helpful to our posts, and to mainly aim for a topic which will help people to learn new things and to solve their problems.

I want to say, Congratulations! I wish you more quality contents in the future.

You might say that this isn't worth celebrating but for me, it is.

It's absolutely a milestone worth celebrating! After instituting the merit system it became significantly harder to rise up the membership ranks. The purpose was valid, and the new rules have been effective in keeping spam down and increasing post quality. Clearly someone like yourself has taken the latter part of that "to heart" and your value to this forum is validated by the merit you've received.

Well done, i look forward to hearing you celebrate reaching Senior Member!

What a great news to start your new year, it just means that your time and effort are not wasted for nothing. Newbies tend to feel so bad about themselves for some reason, it's okay you all are just starting your own adventure. You should never feel hopeless just because someone has a higher ranks than you. Sometimes all you need is to be hard working and patience because the best comes to those who waits. What's wrong for being a newbie? it's not something to be embarrassed because we have started that way. We also experienced it, the difference is that we acquire and inspired ourselves from other people's experiences and learn to used it as our guide on making great post. It depends on the person itself on how he/she will manage to improve his/her own standing so keep it up and good luck.

Congratulations OP ! You are Full Member now. I have sent you 6 merits just for upgrade your rank. But really you need more improve your post. Take more time to read then write. I was a newbie once a time and I know how hard to earn merits. But if you concentrate to make at least good post then it will not hard for you. You need to do more struggle for further rank up. Most of your previous merits came from art contest, so remember likely there would not more art contest for earn merit. So whatever you have best knowledge share with community & help others as well.

To all newbies I want to say just try to be more constructive, you can achieve your targeted ranks as well. Try to keep your role on the forum improvements. There is lots of way to help forum like report spam, report scams/abuse and suggestion for forum development. Always must should respect forum rules and encourage other to do so. I always want to motivate newbies for make good constructive posts. So overall I want to say again, be a good poster, don't be a spammer.
Uhm first, I don't know what to say... I'm still in the state of mixed feelings but I'm really happy right now. I really really mean it. And I wanna thank Coolcryptovator! for giving me merits that made me reach the few last merits I need to be a full member. So much thank you. I also want to thank everyone who helped me reach this rank. I really can't hide my happiness, I keep on smiling while typing this and I can't find the right words to express what I'm feeling right now. I'm not being exaggerated, I'm just happy... But of course, I will continue to do my best to give more quality posts. Thank you!

You have been mentioned here by DdmrDdmr Re: Bitcointalk Ranking-up pipeline - Those that are close to their next rank

Maybe you will reach Full Member few weeks from now as long as you keep your disciplined in posting. Just a tip or a suggestion aside from posting local news you can also learn and share the very technical aspect of bitcoin and blockchain from the most basic to the complex one. Visit meta so you can have more idea what to post. Cheesy

Who wants to start a newbie project on the beginners' board with me?

You can also help Jet Cash discussing these with Newbies.
Thanks mate. Of course I'm going to explore more here in the forum, as well as Bitcoin and blockchain. Also gonna try visiting meta to learn more. Thanks again

Congratulations to your new rank! Keep on posting informative, relevant and interesting posts and I am sure you will rank up several more ranks  Wink. It's all about quality nowadays.

Read well what he wrote mate. He isn't full member yet but almost there. Newbies should really pay attention to reading before clicking the Post button when typing.

For OP: That's a bit of improvement you are considered already a good poster and reviewing your post seems like you have a broad mind in imposing new ideas. Especially on your Local section.

Good luck and congrats in advance.

Congratulating in advance eh?. The op is going to rank up to full member and not ranking up to full member. I guess you just read the thread title. Well, let's not just focus on merit alone but focusing on improving ourselves. Improving ones self means you'll get merit because of it and learning many things.

Does it even matter for others when they already have higher ranks? You might say that this isn't worth celebrating but for me, it is. As you can see, I'm near at achieving my goal to be a Full Member. And I can't wait to be one. I started here last October 2018 and it's been a year and I'm already at this rank. I got some of my merits from joining the 10th Anniversary Art Contest, while the rest are from my posts. I'm not that good when it comes to art but I really tried my best just to join the contest. I also submitted a lot of entries because I know I'm not that artistic compared to others who can get hundreds of merit form a single entry, so I worked harder to submit more entries as much as I can. And I really appreciated those people who also appreciated my art by giving me merits. I mean it.

I know it's never easy to get a higher rank. We have to work hard for it because merits are for those who deserves it. I'm trying my best to give quality post even more because I'm almost there. I don't aim those higher ranks as of now because it takes time and efforts. Being able to be a full member is already a big achievement for me. And I will be really happy when that day comes.

Aside from that, I also want to encourage newbies who also want to get higher ranks, that they can do it. You just have to work for it. Give quality posts 'cause there's a lot of people here in the forum who will appreciate your post. Set your goals to achieve a certain rank and thrive harder until you reach the goal you want. If they managed to get a higher rank, so do we!
It's not a bad thing to celebrate an achievement that you've worked very hard for a long time. We all know how hard it is to rank up after the merit system showing up, before, it was all about the activity alone which updates every month. I think it is necessary that we stay optimistic about our goal, cause no matter how long it will take, as long as you stay dedicated and has perseverance, you will definitely make it on the right time and all your hardwork will pay off.

-snip- I got some of my merits from joining the 10th Anniversary Art Contest, while the rest are from my posts. -snip-
I missed that event. You were lucky for joining the art contest and earned some merits. You must be motivated to earn more merits. This is a positive impact of the forum art contest.

-snip- merits are for those who deserves it. -snip-
Yes, merits are for the post that deserves. So, make more quality posts to have more chances of getting merits.

More quality posts = more chances for merits
Fewer quality posts = low chances for merits
No quality post = no chance for merits

So, it depends on us, which one will be chosen. It will determine the future of our account, whether to be stuck in the current rank or goes to the next rank.

-snip- I also want to encourage newbies who also want to get higher ranks -snip-
For newbies, it is better to not focus on merit only. You must focus on how to improve post quality. It means you need to read more about forum policy and various sources related to crypto information.

Most of your merits came from that art contest but after that you are actually getting some merits likely in your local board so just keep doing what you are doing recently and aiming for higher ranks is not bad though which is the success of merit system so people are actually making good posts to rank up.

Newbies or anyone can rankup if they read more than what they write. Smiley

Thank you for that! I'll keep working hard. And you're right, there's no wrong aiming for a higher rank, what's wrong is when you just aim but don't work for it.

I agree with you.
Many newbie complain about merits but when we offer to them merit giveaway opportunities usually is difficult to find quality posts from them which deserves merits.
I had such experience when I offered merit giveaway topic here.
So,  instead of complaining it's much better to learn more about btc,  crypto,  maybe find and share news about some scams etc.
Work on your reputation and knowledge and offer something useful to others and they will reward you.

I also agree that newbies should give extra effort in learning the basics about cryptocurrency and blockchain. If they really want to rank up, they'll give time learning it because it is what they need in order to give quality post.
