I think the best way to calculate it is every 100 activity = 0.1 btc.

No way you can buy a Hero account for 0.5BTC or a legendary account for 1BTC

If you know someone selling for such prices, please PM me the contact

Im interested too. But like other poster said, what if you sell someone an account, and then he is a bad guy and uses your account to scam? if you posted with that account, the posts will have your IP (even if mine is dynamic but anyway). I just dont wanna get in trouble by sending my hard work to scammers, then to boot they get me in trouble coz scammed people will demand IP's, and they will see my IP on all the posts (except after selling the account). Would they check for all IP's (registered IP and IP history) or ONLY the particular IP from the particular postings since the scaming beggins? hope this makes any sense.

Bolded part is not true.

The forum would record the IP address of the bad guy in each post he makes.  It would be different than the IP address on the posts you make.

Aha, thanks. It leaves me less worried in case I ever sell an accoun  Smiley

Theymos rarely gives alway IPs, even in scam situations. Only with judicial orders, but considering the impunity we see in the Bitcoin world, it is unlikely.

But in the worst case scenario, you can save the PMs of the purchased accounts to proof the transference of ownership or only use proxies or tor to access your account after your purchase it.

user_id or registered date should worth more than member status, just like low icq number

But signature campaigns don't pay for user_id or registered data, they pay for member status and rarely for activity, and I guess most people buy accounts for signature campaigns.

Also any estimative about the price of legendary accounts?

Nearing 1 BTC? So you're saying that an account with 490 activity and over 8k posts is worth so little?
Hilarious. One must really be dumb to sell accounts like that. Actually it's what the user would sell his for, I wouldn't sell mine unless I could retire with the loot.  Wink

I think it's not the real price of the market.

A full member goes for between 0.05 and 0.15
A sr member for up to 0.35
And a Hero is negotiated, up to 1 or 2 btc depending on extra features , pos trust etc

Hero = 1BTC+. It takes ages to reach Hero status.
Btw a question: If you sell an account to someone, and this someone uses it to scam, would you be in danger as you registered and posted with said account? (your ip)?  Undecided

So the question is simple how much are these account worth BTC?
Hero?
Sr?
and Full member?

They're worth as much as someone is willing to pay...

The price would strongly depend on available signature campaigns. Since primedice is not open to all anymore, the value probably went down (especially for full members and members).

Full Members can go for more, if they're close to ranking up. Same goes for Seniors.
But now low ranks are worthing less because some campaigns going to start with Sr Members

Dicebit opens up at the end of the month, and you can still get 0.05 a month for posting 50 times.

Cant believe you can actually buy a sr membership account, how long on average does it take to get to that position?

You will become a senior member in minimum 8 months. One activity per day. Provided that you post every 14 days and has total 240 posts.

I wonder how things will be in this forum in 5 years when shit really hits the fan and BTC becomes huge. Will they still accept new members? Will it be invite only? The accounts will be even more valuable by then if they become more rare to own.

You think that's a little ammount? I think it's a huge ammount just for an account. True, it takes a long time to build a hero member up, but 1 bitcoin is still a lot of money. Its risky buying accounts too as they can easily be recovered and then you're out of pocket.

1BTC is nothing for Hero account. With Hero, you can recoup that BTC quick with the high rates from signature campaings and what not. It takes ages to be an Hero on here.

What about Legendary accounts? How much would people pay?

It's nothing? You're exagerating. Not many people will pucker up 1btc for a FORUM ACCOUNT which is what it is at the end of the day. It doesnt look like many hero accounts do even get sold for probably a number of reasons. Most Hero rates only pay like a tiny bit more than Snr so you'd be better off buying one of them.

Well, you can in 2 months get your BTC back plus Hero Member gives you a lot more status and recognition than Sr, this is a bonus and some people will gladly pay for not. Not everyone is broke like us you know.  Undecided

I think selling your account is the most immoral thing you can do on Bitcointalk.org

Admins should ban all talk of account selling and there should be a report button so that if anybody sees a post about account selling it can be deleted quickly. This will ultimately ruin the reputation of hero members who have actually taken the time to earn their positions... It needs to be stopped ASAP!

C'mon dude, it's really not that bad or immoral. That would be scamming. I don't condone buying or selling accounts but the demand is there to be used on signature deals. The mods don't ban it because they can't really stop it, but some members will leave bad feedback for people caught buying or selling them.
